Thank you for your response, I have been looking into lipo for lipoedema but it worries me that it won't be a long term fix. I have had some success with a keto diet but get disheartened because the results are slow due to my lipoedema.
For me, and I think many others, you have to get to a point where you finally decide to make a hard mental turn and commit to saving your own life. There is no magic pill. There is no one who can do it for you. A temporary diet won't work. Cheating just slides you back down into the pit. You have to commit for life. Stop eating food that is bad for you and keep to eating food that is good for you. It honestly comes down to that. I believe you have to commit to taking personal responsibility for saving yourself. I know carbs are addictive and I know it can seem scary but you can do it. I eat zero added sugar. I eat zero grains. I have only small amounts of low sugar fruit, occasionally. I don't miss it because I look better, I feel better, and I think more clearly than I have in the last 20 years. Why would I go back? I feel so much more free and in control of my life. You can too. People like Maria have shown us the way. Find your community to get support. You don't have to do it alone.
Thank you both. Must thank Dr Berry for drawing my attention to your channel after his disappointing behaviour on ReverserD where he denied knowing what a Personal Fat Threshold is, and undermined Maria, despite having published his own video on UA-cam about it. 💐👍
Thank you! I was wondering about this since I had this procedure done about 22 years ago. I wasn’t planning to ever be pregnant again but got a wonderful surprise, six years after doing this, at age 42. Since finding out we become insulin resistant during pregnancy I now know why I had a 10lb baby. I’ve been keto for almost three years now, after becoming menopausal, and am having a hard time losing the last 40lbs. I think I’ll give PSMF a try. Hope you both are have a fabulous time.💖
Thank you for continuing to educate us on our fat threshold. Very disappointed with Professor Bikman in a Kelly Hogan interview a couple of weeks ago. He pretty much said that women who gain weight on carnivore aren’t being truthful about not eating sugar/carbs and that it isn’t good to prioritize protein over fat. Well, I’m one of those women who gain weight even if my total carbs are extremely low, usually under 5 grams. It happened when I started eating more fat like many in the keto/carnivore community are recommending now. I also suspect I have lipedema, and Dr Ken Berry said not too long ago that high fat carnivore is the best method for those of us with it. I’m not listening to him this time.
@@craigemmerich I actually asked Dr Berry how eating fat wouldn’t cause fat gain. His answer was that it’s not how the body works. Well, my body started gaining fat when increasing my fat intake, so not taking his advice anymore.
Bummer. The science clearly shows that if you eat dietary fat in excess, it will be stored in the body. We have had SO many clients come to us for help after falling for the high fat carnivore trend due to gaining weight (and some even experiencing WORSE insulin resistance) :(

Wow, this is superb information. I had fat transfer, and they might have done some lipo along with it, I don't know. It was done during an extended tummy tuck. Later, I got fat in two areas I never had fat before and it looked awful, so I had to have lipo in those areas, but luckily it was a very small amount. I hope I never have to have any done again after seeing this video. I should have known if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
The fat cells can only get so big before they get inflamed and dysfunctional. Just the way their biology works. They can’t grow to infinite size, there is a limit.

Ok, so this post is "stuffed full" of info I can't wait to pass on. In fact, I know of 2 people right now who are considering or scheduled for either lipo or some other form of "body sculpting" procedure that is supposed to eliminate fat cells. Also have seen a few videos lately from folks in the keto/carnivore space who had skin removal surgery plus liposuction after extreme weight loss. One in particular had the surgery + lipo last year, & then gained back nearly 100 lbs, which she is now trying to lose again. This makes me wonder how that applies to the info shared here, meaning, if she removed a good percentage of her fat cells, did some of the fat she re-gained possibly settle into that visceral fat layer around her organs. Thanks for posting~ as always, such good stuff you two! =) ~Samantha Whitson
Why don’t the other carnivore influencers talk about personal fat threshold?? Would love if you could have Dr Bikman, Berry, Chaffee, Kiltz, give more science on this important issue!! Thank you!!!❤

Hi Maria, I have lipedema and have been keto for 6 months and carnivore now for 4 months after hearing carnivore can be more effective for lipedema symptom improvement. I’m wondering, because the lipedema cells are abnormal to normal fat cells, will having liposuction have the same effect on insulin levels? I’m trying to avoid surgery, but have not ruled it out because I really want my legs to look like normal legs, as my upper body is now very slender and more muscular so my legs now look really out of place (like they don’t belong to the same body) would love to know yours and Craig’s thoughts x
