@o9758I have a flexguru 300W which seems to be just fine power wise, even with PBO and stress testing it doesn't rev up. It's not silent though, as in, if sensible to it, could be a bit annoying for home office. But for the way I use it (steam + yuzu couch gaming) I can't hear it at all sitting about 2-3 meters away from the TV. Btw yuzu is crazy good on this APU.
My life revolves around eta prime video releases. I love your handheld and egpu videos. I'm looking to get an egpu for my Legion Go.
@Mosestylez you're telling me! I'm finishing up a graduate degree and I hold a full time job as a mental health professional. I don't have time for a life.
@@danielhulan3058 Cog in the machine! Build a family you could be proud of instead of these meaningless toys.
@5GRobo no not cog in the machine. It's all about who hold what to be important. Who says that I don't already have a family that I am proud of while still getting these "meaningless toys". It's meaningless to you but it makes me happy.
Did you have to do anything special to get the 8600g to work with the a620i? I have a similar build but cant get this thing to post properly even after flashing the latest bios.
Does Gigabyte RTX 4060 LP fit with this setup?/
Bios updates via usb with no cpu or a non compliant but compatable cpu , should have been a standard 20 years ago !
Very great build. I exactly want to build this!
But I highly recommend to use FSR instead of RSR if its possible. RSR is the solution if the game doesen't support FSR. Like Palworld for example.
Waste of money
@5GRobo doesn’t look so bad to me. I see you replying a lot that this is a waste, but could you really get that much performance out of a build with a gpu for the same price? Looks like this would be around 600 total and I feel like you could o my get a Ryzen 5 5000 series with a 6600xt for that and it doesn’t seem like that would be miles ahead of this. Take into account the form factor and everything and this seems pretty decent.
Dude, 6600xt is 2-3x faster. A ryzen 3600 would be plenty enough for it. And 16G ddr4 costs nothing.
@@pranze3484 Right and it doesn’t need so much electricity. I habe a 5600G and a RX6600. Runs like a rocket. But this PC is interesting
@@Crustenscharbap sure, and I want one eventually for home office when temps are high, and to bring to friends for couch gaming where 95% of what we play is indies or emulation. But at around 500€ overall, not 700+ :D
any recommendation for flex psu? i couldn't find one. any link from aliexpress i would appreciate it or amazon ofc
I would like to see the 8600g vs 7600 with say a 4070 super and/or 7900 xt and see what are the difference in fps at say 1440/4k. Basically is there a big difference between the two since the 7600 can be bought for about $30 less than the 8600g.
Yeah, 7600 will be about 3x faster
I do wonder how FFXIV runs on that.. and what benchmark score it gets.
Can you try ChimeraOS on these 8600g & 8700g?
I appreciate you going budget.. good job bro
lol, this is not budget at all for what you end up with.
@@5GRobo yeah lol, noticed when i saw the cpu price
You sure about this working well with Linux? I've read a number of comments suggesting a lot of tinkering is required to get even something like Mint off the ground. And there are reports of freezing and inconsistent behavior in Ubuntu as well. It's possible some of your viewers will run into similar issues. If they're on Linux, they might already know what they need to do to troubleshoot, but it looks like some troubleshooting will be needed to get a Linux distro running smoothly.
Hi can you do a video review of this model kuycon monitor with full alternative choice on kuycon g34w vs kuycon P40U so you know if it's worth buying their monitor
No
am5 itx boards are way to expensive, i dont even understand this prices makes no sense at all
same with CPUs....where I am, any AM5 CPU/APU costs at least twice the price of a motherboard
Yeah, they are expensive AF. When I did my ITX build I spend around 320 bucks on the cheapest ITX I could find. Sure Im not in USA, so maybe they are cheaper there, but its not a pick what you afford, its a pick what you find in stock situation.
@@helloukwexactly....there are some really disgusting pricings where I live xD
To the point when getting a used RX570 and using FX8300 on AsRock 970M Pro3 motherboard is a dream come true XD
If I were to buy this or 8700G what’s a good GFX card to pair with this. I’m running an i7-3770 and 1660 Super.
Bro, you don't buy this with a GFX. Just build a 12100f or a 12400f system. That's where the value is and with the money you save, you can get a good GPU.
when is the S24 ultra emulation video coming ?!!
RGB lighting is the worst thing to happen to PC hardware
*RGBT lighting
@@ceeamWhatever it is, it’s an annoying and pointless (bar parting dafties from their money) gimmick.
Try 12400F + RX 6600 VS this
KXRORS G200 while you're at it.
i wanna try a build like this soon but the power supply in the video is not the one in the link in the description. Help?
@etaprime can I use a 8700g in this build? I'm looking to make an 8700 build but not ball out like your last one 😅
What GPU would you even pair with the 8700G?
None. Makes no sense. Just get a 3600 or something.
