I find these videos fascinating yet I wouldnt know a spark plug from an exhaust pipe. Better entertainment than the TV from two good, honest lads.

Great to see it finished. Stick some protection around that cable running from the alternator to the battery. The top of the timing cover pushes into the cable on all 3.2 Rangers and some have shorted out and caught fire. I stuck a piece of rubber hose around mine.
It looks like a giant Dacia Duster in that colour 😂

Everything done spot on, no dramas, clear logical thinking and execution of the work. The price of the S/H engine is a bit spiteful! However it is low mileage, Great truck for someone for sure 🇬🇧👏
Another top vid gents! We had a Ranger as works vehicle and it was cursed. Had more crashes than a test dummy. Quick work down to thorough knowledge and a good working partnership. Keep em coming!

Definitely agree, you wouldn't work on them all week, my mate bought a white one from auction with half the engine in the bed and i got the head skimmed and build it all back up but there was a lot of swearing involved as i had never worked on a 3.2 at that point
Before all you had to worry about was your first oil change, now you have to worry about your first engine change.
Its a common problem on these 3.2 Rangers, they like to throw a leg out thru the block, we probably get at least 4 or so a month in the workshop for engine replacement.

Hello both, what an entertaining series of video's for this project. Shocked at the price of the engine, yet the "old" cylinder head will refund some money for the cost of the replacement engine. Love the Ford rangers my grandad had two of them. They both had the 2.2 diesel engine in them. Great work guys keep up the good work can’t wait for the next one.👊👍🏻

Would be interesting another pick-up rebuild. It's a lot of work, but one that was rolled over or needs a frame swap, would be an interesting series to watch.

This was an interesting project I enjoyed the whole three episode. It was real graft crawling around in the rain and such like but you stuck at it and got it done. The state of the engine was a bit of a shock to us all I think. Although the 'new' engine cost more than the truck thankfully you can get a good few pounds back from the head and some other parts. You will still make a profit and someone will get a very nice work truck. Well done Rob and Chris, a good turn around on this one. 👍👍
