    I always get big walleye on that split second pause ! I pause my spinner every 30 seconds by just letting a few inches of line out

    I've never used a bottom bouncer or a Impulse Leach. When you get a bite, do you feed the fish line or set the hook right away?

    • @NorthlandFishingTackle
      @NorthlandFishingTackle  7 років тому +3

      Hi Micheal, Set the Hook right away. We like to use 2 hook harnesses with Impulse and get very good hook ups!
      Here is what we use with Impulse - shop.northlandtackle.com/rigs/baitfish-spinner-harness/

    I want one of those Ambassadeur reels sooooo bad, theyre too damn sexy. I
    found two 1974 Mitchell 300 spinning reels last year and had a blast
    refurbishing them and was super impressed by their construction, I can
    only imagine how the Ambassadeur is but i dont think id be so lucky
    refurbishing a baitcaster as a spinner. If anyone has a vintage
    Ambassadeur kicking around they dont want, ESP with the line counter,
    let me know lol, ill take it off your hands!

    Can't see the way you placed your hooks real well, did you nose hook and then bottom hook the second?

    • @NorthlandFishingTackle
      @NorthlandFishingTackle  7 років тому +3

      Hi Brian, On the Impulse Rig'n Leech there is a sucker dimple molded into the bait. We nose hook through that then hook the second hook as far back on the leech as you can leaving a slight bend in the line so it doesn't affect the leeches action,

    Are you making continuous contact with the bottom or just trying to hover above bottom?

    • @NorthlandFishingTackle
      @NorthlandFishingTackle  4 роки тому +1

      You will try and maintain contact as best as you can but to eliminate snags you just want to be barely touching it. The wire should be just ticking the bottom.

    Couldn't make out snap on your bottom bouncer. Almost every snap is junk. Replace them with cross snaps. Loose a lot less when you get snagged. And get the ones with a closed eye so your line isn't running up and down the bouncer.

    what size line and leader are you using? new to walleye fishing

    • @NorthlandFishingTackle
      @NorthlandFishingTackle  4 роки тому

      We like to use our 8lbs Bionic Braid. Most of our spinners come pre-tied with a 15 lbs mono leader.
