I’m glad I’m not the only avid fisherman that married a woman that couldn’t care less about fishing 😂
My wife gets the boat hooked up everything loaded then wakes me up and says let's go 😂😂
You're not😂
We use 6-10oz here on eastern Lake Erie.
Walleye madness! Can't keep em away! Now if they were 5 inches bigger. Exciting fishing though.
Just a thought for graphic T-shirts designers; maybe design around a GoPro harness. Just a thought
They make one now that's magnetic, and goes around your neck and attaches on the back side of your shirt. I've kind of gotten away from the chest angle, I prefer the hat angle
What your trolling speed?
Always fun to be out fishing, isn't it? I suggest putting a small swivel right at the front of the slow-death hook. The whole idea is to get that worm to spiral. Predator fish can't stand that corkscrew worm. I only troll to find fish and once I do, I'd rather drift and cast for them. But that's Lake Erie. Happy fishing!
The barrel swivel is at the beginning of the leader, which attaches to the bottom bouncer snap swivel.
@@KansasAnglingExperience Yes, I realized that but I've found that there is less resistance to get the hook to spin when there is a swivel right at the hook. The main thing is to be sure it's spinning as designed.
@@JamesBondDZero7Mi6 all it takes is a quick dip in the water at speed to know in about 3 seconds 🙂
Love the passion you have for the thump. Thanks for the great entertainment.
I have fished bottom bouncers forever but I still learned a few tips! 🎣
Great video packed with info! Thanks Brian!
What size smiley blades do you use the 1 in the 1 1/2 or the two what is your preferred blade and why
I like the 1", seems to get me a few more bites on pressured waters
Why is she on her phone and not fishing?
She can do whatever makes her happy baby
Nice video! Curious how you attach your leader to the bottom bouncer? Do you just loop it to the snap swivel or go snap swivel to snap swivel or add a small ball bearing swivel to the snap swivel? Do you use a duolock to the main line from the bouncer? Thanks.
Great tips for beginners like me. I was curious how fast you set the hook. Keep your video's coming!
Can you run a bottom bouncer on a spinning reel???
@@Scooby-93 absolutely can
“Good sign we already got one and only been fishing for ten minutes”
Here I am on my 100th walleye video and 20th day dedicated to catching one and can’t.
It’ll be soon. I am dialing in bottom bouncing lol just placed an order from northland for spinners.
Depending on your area, some times of the year are more difficult than others. My main bottom bouncer season is May and June, where its about as easy as it gets. Now, maybe not so much
I am new to bottom bouncing and found some succes this spring. When you talk about fishing points obviously you are referring to the under water bottom contour of the lake right? Do you bottom bounce on top of the structure or do you follow the toe of the slope(deeper side of the drop off)
awesome video! gonna try bottom bouncing for catfish on my kayak now with cutbait
What line size/type do you use for your leader?
Typically 12-15 lb flouro carbon
This is the exact video I’ve been looking for as a new walleye fisherman in Nebraska. Looks like a great day of fishing
Good tip on the rod action during a bite, maybe I’ll leave my rod in the holder longer and more often instead of leaving it in my hand.
This seems like Melvern. We’ve been catching nothing but 13-16 inch fish.
I’ve been wondering this question. If you take guys out on a guiding trip and they catch fish like this, one after another, but the clients get to take home no fish because of lack of keepers. Are your clients still usually satisfied even though they take home no eaters? Fun watching your videos. You fish the same areas we do just different days. Hope to see you out on the water.
Kinda that way in a lot of our lakes, some good year classes coming up!
Dani must be okay with you using the cooler with night crawlers!
It’s the designated bait cooler, not the drinks cooler lol
Good fishing! Have you thought about selling merch? I’d be down to buy some hats if you sold some.
My merch store can be found here, but no hats yet: kansas-angling-experience.creator-spring.com/?
Any luck on gulp crawlers or other plastic crawlers? Worms are a pain in the ass.
@@smthcrmnal26 gulp half crawlers work. But any 4” Leech style plastic would probably work well also. I too hate freaking crawlers.
Is this your new Lund? I’m curious how the Seadek turned out. Can you do a video on how it turned out. Great content, keep up the good work.
This video is still my Crestliner. I’m picking up the Lund as I type this
Is this on Melvern Lake?
Can’t wait for this unspecified lake to be full of lunkers in a few years
It most certainly will!
My favorite style of fishing
exept cheney...cool video
Really good video thank you tell me more about those reels you were using
The link is in the description.
On those reels with the flipping switch would be possible to cast a crankbait back instead of letting it out.... if you could would get the cranknbait back faster to your designated line mark
I suppose you could.
@@KansasAnglingExperience one more thing they saying the drag on these reels will loose big fish if you have a runner I think because the drag locks up u had any experiences like that?
Only if the drag is too tight, yes
Dude Thanks Man
She finally did something!
How many more comments are you gonna leave about my wife brah
Is this a decent winter technique?
Not at all.
@@KansasAnglingExperience I appreciate the feedback! saved me the weekend floating around
Do you ever use plainer boards?
Not with bottom bouncers
Got yu.
wow wtf is she there for?
You married Byron?
Nice video! I bought the combo you were using. The video helped me learn more about bottom bouncing.
Awesome 👊🏻👊🏻
What’s the water temp?
Well I did make sure to say what the water temp was in the first 5 minutes of the video….but it was 74-75 when this was filmed on Monday prior to the 5” of rain we just got overnight.
I don’t think I’d go barefoot in a boat with hooks like you
I keep a pretty tidy ship 🤙🏻
