You explain everything to us just like you fish and reel em in....calm, cool, collected. The precision of your explantion vids are flawless and its spectacular to watch. You coverage basically leave us with no questions left to ask, which is awesome! I know this vid is 2yrs old but im still catching up on some of your content i missed 😅😅
You’re on fire! I get to binge on your last three videos. Really appreciate your dedication to all your lucky subscribers, including me. Thanks, Mr. Boley!
Great explanation of all the equipment, rod lengths, blade styles, hook sizes and styles, bottom bouncer weights, bait selection and sizes. I think you did a really good job of making it simple to understand and breaking it down into separate parts to put a whole plan together. Excellent job 👍
Great info, it really helps in my learning curve… my dad was from Minnesota and always talked about walleye fishing, but being raised in Georgia, I’ve never had a chance to try it until the state started stocking them here in the mountains. Dads gone now, but I’m sure he would approve of you teaching me the ins and outs! Thank you again for your hard work on this content👍
@@spreadindots991 Yes, Blue Ridge is stocked every year with LARGE Walleyes. Hiawasse has plenty, but hard to catch. Over in Rabun county, lake Rabun has the GA state record, or did last time I checked
Tom your vids are the best forsure. I watch them all and some multiple times. Find alot of the stuff very informative and similar to the way I think and fish. You definately take it to another level though. Awesome boat, gorgeous wife that loves fishing and helping you with your channel and a chill cool dog for a excellent companion by your side. Good sponsors too. Your a great example of the great life😉 love the channel always excited to see your next vid😃
Another vital technique for putting fish in the boat. You have many techniques, all well explained and verified via your vids. Keep up the fantastic work. Glad that you observe those idiots with the bent rod syndrome closing in on you.
Thanks for another great spinner video. I've been successful using the #4 Colorado blades in the perch pattern with antifreeze back. I fish stained water system connected to lake michigan and a major river. Watching this makes me want to get back out there, I'm craving fish tacos!
Love watching all your videos. Trying to add walleyes to a species that I can catch regularly. Wondering, can you do a video on looking for balls of baitfish and catching walleyes feeding on them?
Hey thanks for all the info. I am new to this type of fishing, so I am sure I will go through some trials and errors. Well thanks again, and nice video. 👍
Hi Tom, excellent video!! I am learning so much from your videos and watch everyone. The crawler harnesses, still trying to figure out how much line to let out and what depth it is running at. This video you said your at 70 feet out so how deep was your rig running? I live in the UP on lake Gogebic and locals say troll with crawler harnesses so I am just starting to learn this set up. This video helped me big time! Your a great teacher!
You want to use bottom bouncers. The weight you need is determined by using the weight that keeps you line angle about 45 degrees. You do not have to be on the bottom all the time. Experiment. A double bounce on the bottom should put you about the bottom. Reel up from there. Find the depth they like and repeat.
50 yrs ago or more, old Walleye Fishermans truck was , half a crawler hooked to rear hook of the now , OUT OF PRODUCTION, LAZY IKE PLUG, Similar to a Flatfish, but can be trolled faster, without broaching , rolling over. Another method was hooking a the belly hook of , " Mentioned Flat fish" , with equal length of crawler draping off the belly hook of the flatfish, trolled painfully slow.
Hey Tom, really enjoy your informative videos. I fish lake Winniconnie and Poygan alot, not a whole lot of structure to them, some cane beds, submerged weed beds. Expansive mud flats. With the the wolf river running thru both lakes. Maximum depth, 8 to 10 ', summer months, where would you concentrate your efforts and what techniques would you suggest. These 2 lakes do receive alot of pressure. Thanks Tom, say hi to Shelby and give Serly a milk bone😅.
Great video and information, I do have a question on the boards your using. What size boards are you using for this presentation ? I see there are large boards and medium ones, I have never used planner boards before and would like to try it, I'm sure this would depend on the weight your trolling with so I would be trolling with 2 ounces or less 90% of the time 1 ounce or less.
Awesome video you definitely inspire me to do more tips videos I really only upload my fishing but I think I need to start making other videos like tips and how to do things
Great video! I have been using those slow death hooks for a few years and they are dynamite. What size slow death hooks are you using? Love watching your videos, keep up the great content.
Can you tell me what crawler harness are those? do you make them, what is that blade style. I am familiar with the slow death roll hooks, just not the blade style. Thanks
Hey, I'm just starting to get into walleye fishing. I'm from Northern Utah. Are walleye fishing seems to be different then other places. We have no shad in.most of our reseviors. The baits I have been buying from Kalins seem big. Plus are waters are known to pressured walleyes. Does it matter the size of the bait.
you should work out a way for Surly to catch a fish sometime, if your snowman buddy (awesome vid btw} can catch one I'm sure that mr Surley can as well.LOL
Good video Tom. Very informative as usual. Been hot and calm here as well. Been using bottom bouncers and spinners as well. Fish have been very finicky lately.
Question- when you are talking about leader length, are you referring to the length of the crawler harness rig? Or length of leader (line) ahead of the harness? Great Video, Tom.
Tom, I'm sure your line counters are quite expensive, but do you have any thoughts on the depth master line counters? trying to keep a reasonable budget and still enjoy some fishing. Your videos are the best in depth I have ever seen, thank you for all you do to help us others out.
When it’s a very tough bite I just use a plain slow death hook behind a bead or two behind a bottom bouncer. Luckily I live in Canada and haven’t seen a tough bite in two years…
Now that the border is open again I’d love to see you breakdown a deep, Canadian Shield lake with dark stained water. Seems like most of the waters in these videos are either clear or muddy. Would it be the same strategies for really deep, tannin heavy/stained waters?
Hey Tom love the vids. Question, if I’m not using a planner how far behind the boat should I be running the rig? I have been looking it up but haven’t seen an answer. I hope I will get one.
Knowing the area Tom is fishing (no, I won't tell you), I've been catching walleye most of the summer though not as often or consistent as in years past. About 75% of the walleye I've caught all are 23-23.5". Very few have been under 20" and only a few have been over 24". I'm honestly not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
How do you feel about line restrictions in Mn? Also limits? I would like to use two lines in summer here and I would like a statewide limit of 4. Thoughts?
Great videos! A segment on boating etiquette wouldn't be a bad idea sometime. Like how to enter and leave an area with other boats that are fishing, how to fish around other boats, tips for traveling down the main lake, and how to prep your boat for launching without being in the way. Another interesting video idea is shore fishing. Its probably not the best time of year for that, but I'm sure quite a few people would find it helpful. Thanks for all the info!
You're absolutely one of the best at showing and explaining all these techniques! Keep up the good work
Thanks for watching!
2:50 gotta love people like that eh so hilarious when theres a whole lake to fish
Amazing how quickly the other boats show up the moment you start catching fish!

Love the gear & tackle details! General application to lake and conditions are awesome! Great video
Thanks for the tips Tom! Always great when you share your boat with Shelby and Surly!
Great video as always. Sliding the rod in at the boat when you're alone!! I fish Erie alone a lot...great tip...

You are spot on with the bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. Keep bringing more ideas to the table , like boat speed and more.👍

I gotta get on the lake!!!!
Awesome advice that works in Northern Michigan as well. Thanks Tom
Excellent Tom! Isn't it funny how a bluegill shuns a spike in winter and slams a spinner and crawler in summer.
great vid and tips as usual Tom the butterfly spinners rock!!
Love watching all your videos. Trying to add walleyes to a species that I can catch regularly.
Wondering, can you do a video on looking for balls of baitfish and catching walleyes feeding on them?
Appreciate this video. Kind of like a Tom Talk but out on the water. Lots of good info here. Answered a lot of questions for me.
Anyone else’s dad yell at other fishermen invading your spot within 10 15 feet ?

Thanks for sharing this great info. Good mix of info and fish action.
Great content. Would like to see some more from large river systems with current targeting eyes mid-summer
awesome tips thanks keep it up 😎

Good to catch up with you guys. Great fish Shelby!! Very informative video Tom. Thanks again.
You ever come up to the Keweenaw in the U.P. ?
Great video and instruction. What kind of speeds do you run with the different blade styles?
Been fishing the spinner rig with a bottom bouncer and the dark half a crawler. I’ve been getting the walleyes but they are barely 12”.
Btw. I watch your channel on my lunch break 2-3 times a week. Super helpful.
Tom I want to build a ultimate bottom bouncer rig for Canada. Trying to decide if I run braid or momo. Any thoughts?
Good video Tom. Very informative as usual. Been hot and calm here as well. Been using bottom bouncers and spinners as well. Fish have been very finicky lately.

i have to buy more spinners I guess. Great video.

Hey Tom. Having a hard time finding and catching walleyes on 250 to 500 acre lakes in Northern Minnesota. Need help.
Make a pike video. Best way to catch em!!
Awesome 👍
Looking to upgrade net, how about items you use to get the fish in boat (net) and other terminal tackle in the boat. TIA

Nice
Are you using your bow mount trolling motor?
When you use the smile blades do you always use a single hook?
How can you tolerate worm dirt? No crawlers in dirt in my boat!
I absolutely love every video from you,!! But the clicker, really dude? lol
I haven't been able to get out much this year, I'm jealous
What reels do you have that have the line counter?
Ok I have to ask: you said 1oz bottom bouncer 85’ back with lead core, so how do you know how deep your spinner is actually running?
How do you feel about line restrictions in Mn? Also limits? I would like to use two lines in summer here and I would like a statewide limit of 4. Thoughts?
Great video. By the way where has Mitchell been?
I don’t find death-roll hooks on harnesses increase bites as much as colour and blade size. For me they’re not worth the extra trouble.
do you build your own bottom bouncer?
What size slow death hooks do u run
What do you do with the dog when he has to go? I'd love to take my Boykin fishing with me.
What do you use with the slow death hooks to avoid line twist?
Barrell swivel up top .
What rod holders do u use
What a pro..... is this in Green Bay?
How fast are you going?
How fast do you troll with these
Kooks everywhere. Run the boards until they’re ticking his gunnels. Unreal.
@9:03, Mitch be like, 'I knew I should have came too'

Yes....gulp crawlers or liquid leech leeches
