YES. It’s incredibly annoying. Luckily I have standard 3S lipos that have oddly long power leads so it kind of makes it bearable, but with the Lava batteries they sent it’s a gigantic pain in the ass.
I'm sorry, I couldn't finish the video because of the audio mixing. Having the left guy coming in on the right channel and the right on the left was terrible. Needed to have everything on both channels to be watchable.
@TheDroneGeek that's a pretty terrible way to respond to freeback about your channel. I'm new to this hobby and looking to get my first fpv drone soon, is this the attitude I should expect from the community? Looks like I'll be avoiding your channel altogether. FYI, a lot of people wear headphones on PC and I'm partially deaf in my right ear.
We're running similar props on the Pavo20. Yes, the tri-blades do give it an entirely different feel while flying compared to the bi-blades! I prefer the Pavo20 on the tri-blades overall. Makes it a more versatile flyer.
Great video and looks like a lot of fun!!! Can I use my goggles 3 to fly this Pavo 20 pro? What about a controller? Do I need a certain controller? Sorry I don’t know anything about fpv!
Hey, I'm not Chris but the other tall guy in the video. The Goggles 3 are technically compatible with the 03 air unit onboard both the Pavo 20 and Pavo 20 pro. However there's a bug in the current firmware where the Goggles 3 randomly loses connection with the 03 air unit. So I would hold off using the goggles 3 with anything other than the Avata 2 until DJI patches that issue. As far as a controller you should be able to bind the DJI FPV controller 2 and 3 directly to the 03 air unit. Or BetaFPV also has the option for either crossfire or express LRS. So you can use practically any FPV controller you'd like! Lmk if you have any other questions!
You can use goggles 3, But you really want to do your FPV research before ordering something like this. They do not come ready to fly out of the box. You need to buy and install a DJI 03 Air unit. It does not come included with the drone. You also need to bind and assign controller buttons in BetaFlight. It doesn't come with batteries or a charger. You'll want to get familiar with the safe handling, charging and storage of lithium polymer batteries.
I fully endorse both answers from Sam and Brandon. Couldn't have given you any better feedback myself. To give you an idea of how much different the world of FPV is than a RTF drone like those sold by DJI, please see the link below that outlines setting up the Pavo Pico to fly with the DJI FPV peripherals (goggles 2 and fpv controller 2). This is just a taste of the kind of configuration you need to be prepared for when getting into FPV: ua-cam.com/video/CC6SgExzW3k/v-deo.htmlsi=_e6R9Wkrfp9HvC6Z
@@SamKarpFPV Thanks for the info! I actually just got the goggles to try them with my mini 4pro, it’s ok, nice in a lot of sunlight, but I think I will return them and just get the Avanta2 combo, then once firmware is updated, I can try these other smaller fpv drone. Appreciate your help!
@@drone_angles be advised that these drones do NOT fly like DJI GPS drones or even the Avata in that they do not have altitude hold. You will be fully responsible for keeping drones like these airborne! All it takes to get used to it is practice, but be prepared for a steep learning curve.
That’s a great question. The drone itself seems to come with a carbon fiber cross section plate that I believe you could use to mount the Avatar. I’ll dig into this and let you know what I find.
@@TheDroneGeek I ended up stumbling across a listing for the drone for the Avatar HD pro, most of the listing shows just the 03. Might pick it up but I need a ELRS TX as I still prefer my spektrum dx8 for other quads
I know you recorded your audio in left and right stereo to separate the two mics but but you can put them back in mono when you edit…….. that was very annoying having them in different ears
Whats the best charger for these 3S XT30 batteries? I like the small portable ones they have for the 2S batteries like the ViFly ToothStor4. Is there anything like that for these? It would be nice to have USB C input and be able to use the battery banks I already have to power the charger or charging board. Most of the ones I see are designed to work with a big lipo battery and I see no advantage to it.

Is it just me or is it just a pain in the a** to put those 2.2inch props on the pavo20 pro?? I ruined probably 4 props just because how hard it is to insert them and how fragile they are
No you’re 100% on point. Luckily they’re cheap af so I just buy a metric shit-ton of them so I can ham-fist them onto the drone. But maybe my least favorite part of these smaller quads.
Eh...trash is an overstatement. It's definitely not up to the level of some action cameras, but it's not trash. The source file is 4K, but we have it compressed down to 1080p and of course UA-cam does its thing as well, so I'd blame that more than the actual camera system.

Is your Pavo20 still on the bi-blade props?
I’m running mine on Gemfan Hurricane 2023-3 tri-blades and it’s a whole different feel.

Hello friend, what is the difference between the Pavo 20 Pro and the Pavo 20?
Will motors able to take 4s? Im thinking of swapping fc to a 4s
As long as your 4S FC can handle the amp draw, you should be fine
