There is an aftermarket antenna adapter you can use. Below are two options www.crutchfield.com/p_12040HD10/Metra-40-HD10-Antenna-Adapter.html?tp=2569 www.crutchfield.com/p_12040HD20/Metra-40-HD20-Antenna-Adapter.html?tp=2569
Thanks for this. There are a lot of wires to connect. Do you have any videos on how to do this if you're connecting cameras and/or navigation? Or any videos on how to connect blindspot cameras to the OEM navi in a gen1 Ridgeline?
My system doesn't have the storage compartment. It has a radio bc I have the navigation system above. Do I just skip the part for the storage compartment?
Thank you for sharing! One question, how is the original volume control on your Honda steering wheel maintaining connect to the new touch screen unit? Is it the unit come with the compatibility to the remote switch? Or need the specifics adapter on top of that?
Metra 95-7870G (grey which is a dark grey/blackish) Metra 95-7870T (taupe, kind of beige in color) There are also other brands like Scosche, American International, etc.
Simple enough but I would want my steer wheel controls also. Thanks for the video. Learned what I wanted to learn. Cheers
Theres an aftermarket kit that restores those functions.
Plug and play

did your Ridgeline have the factory subwoofer?
if so, did this work with that?
Excellent my brother
Thanks for the vid! Where did you get that din for the under the stereo?
And please inform the control on the steering are usable?
Does the subwoofer still work? Crutchfield website says adding after-market stereo disables the subwoofer in the Ridgeline.
I couldn’t tell you for sure.

Happy to share! I don't recall whether or not we were able to retain steering wheel controls-- an additional CAN BUS module may be required.
@@JDCarsChannel what is canbus? Thanks 🙏
HOW COME U DIDNT HOOK UP THE ANTENNA
No AM radio? How do I listen to Rush?!?!
Does the trim and install kit work across multiple brand head units or just for the one in the vid?
@JD Cars please make a grom clone setup video. That would be great.
Coming soon!
AWESOME. THANKS
You bet!
For sure the best vid on youtube describing this procedure.
Does the Kenwood have a AM/FM radio function too? Or is it only multi media?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The Kenwood does have AM/FM radio function.
Where did you connect the solid blue wire? To the blue/white wire?
I want to install a stereo tesla to my Honda Ridgeline 2007 but you can't
my stereo says that I have to connect to the parking brake so that my dvd works to the ground connector where you connected it?
Where were you able to ground this? Thanks.
I’m curious if the kit has different color trims. I’m not too crazy about the gray

First one Jd
I was in Northville Michigan several days ago
Sweet!
What's happening if you disconect your battery after installation?
Any codes in the system?
Some sensors may need to recalibrate (on their own with driving) and your clock may need to be reset
Do you do this to the public?
El único problema es que ya no funcionan los controles al volante
I can use the spotify function on mine with bluetooth, i don't need to connect it via USB. I guess there was a software update.
Sweet! Must've been an update.
I watch from the UK :D PEACE
Hahaha sweet!
Do the steering wheel controls still function?
Unfortunately, no
You can buy an adapter for that.
JD Cars
I have 2007 Ridgeline
Use the Aswc-1
Pin 11 of the Honda harness to ground
Pin 3 to Gray/Red of the aswc-1
Works great
Does this come with a USB port?
Yes
what about sirius/xm?
You lose it with aftermarket radios :(
yo quiero instalarle a mi Honda ridgeline 2007 un estereo tesla pero no se se pueda
pourque una stereo tesla?
Entonces que otro me recomiendas
The speakers on the ridgeline suck. I'd consider checking out speakers and installation before buying a head unit
Lil baby 🗣🗣🗣
Yee!
You dvd 📀 works
Yes
LOL @BMW by lil baby
Hahaha
?
Background music is awful. Couldn't watch.
Horrible. Looks like an original Apple Computer. Love CarPlay and want the option for my 2008 Ridgeline... but hoping an iPad type is a possibility.
