Just cleaning out my hard drive & came across this clip I put this together a while back for one of the companies I'm involved with which never got used, so figured I might as well through it up here.
And no, I didn't wear the jacket the whole gig.

I think I hear more than 3 kicks between 2 snares and looking at his legs I'd say Heel-Toe Technique.
Slow it down to 50% speed and you‘ll find out it‘s two groups of four in 32nd notes!
absolutly live the skill of you all, is i visit a live concert I would love to leave with at kick in my balls, everything is so fucking professionals with backing track and metronome and digital stuff, a albsolutliy love this but its a recorded tracks, its so professional , like an album.

Plini more or less lets me do whatever I feel appropriate musically. Some ideas of mine are built off of his original skeleton parts, and other times my parts don't resemble his at all!

I love how the drums sound in this live performance. No offense towards you and the studio version (since they - the studio version and this live performance - sound almost the same rhythmically), but the tuning of your double bass and overall drumset (as well as the mix) sound WAAAY better here. It makes you justice as I can appreciate your playing much better.

From recollection it was a ProLite. SQ1 was the aux snare.
why do all of us drummers always have to adjust the high hat clutch when there's a pause? XD. 9 times out of 10 its fine XD

I know this is a video of an incredible drummer doing incredible drumming, but goddamn the vibrato on those pinch harmonics in the final thirty seconds was a violation of my ears (in the good sense)
He hits the drums like he's afraid of pissing them off. Dude's an incredibly capable drummer but I don't enjoy watching him because he's low energy AF

Good drum technique means you can be relaxed in your body and still get a massive sound out of your kit. I think Chris looks great on stage. He's grounded, he's focused, he's got great tone and time feel, massive dynamic range from soft to loud and anything in between, and he's looking around and communicating with his band members throughout the performance.
