Barrythe Speedster Yup agreed! Although I actually haven’t watched the movie that much, I thought Cloud was a bit too mopey in the movie. But the action is epic as hell!
I might get a lot of hate saying this but I enjoy FF 8 more than 7. Graphics are a huge step up from realistic character models to how the pre rendered backgrounds look. To being able to watch a cutscene with the actually character models and seamlessly transition into controlling your character. Something about the design of the world never really meshed with me for FF 7 I know this is what they were going for and the execute it to great affect but the world was just a little to dark and gloomy and run down in most places. Not enough wonder and grand fantasy for me. I like the characters more in FF 8 the combat system and the soundtrack. And still even now find the summon animations to still look amazing for that time period. Now I can't talk about what story I like more as still only on the 2nd disc of FF 8. It was one of the few FF games I missed and for some reason my PS4 won't allow me to download it from the store. So I had to find a PS1 emulator for my phone. Thank good it runs as well as it would on a console on my phone. So idk what story I will enjoy more as not even halfway through the game yet. But I might be looking forward to the FF 8 remaster more than the FF 7 remake. And one big reason is due to FF 7 being in chapters and I still will always much prefer turn base combat.
After Advent Children, i actually wished that they could redo ff7 into, well, that... And now IT IS HAPPENIIIIIIING!!!!! I want to cryyyyy in happiness 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Also it's the original character artists making HD art for everyone... No one can say it looks wrong because this is how the artists would have made it back then if they could.
When you do a Friday feature about ff7 but fail to mention the phenomenal crisis core and the fact we got the teaser at the end of that game and saw the phenomenal graphics after ff7 I mean the scene with angeal, sephiroth and genesis fighting on the massive turret was truly breath taking and the trailer for the ff7 remake was also brilliant just Do a video rob called the history and games/movies of the final fantasy 7 series and why you do your self a sort of disservice not to live what those from the beginning have felt
Love your vids. Got back into JRPGs, because of your vids. Playing DQ11 at the moment. Then still gotta play FF7/FF9/FF10/FF10-2/ FF 15/ni no 1/ni no 2/ persona5. And then final 7 remake. Keep um the good work.

I most definitely agree with you bro. Back in 1997 I was in the 7th grade. I use to day dream about how the characters really act and now it's true. I have always wanted to know what do the other Sectors looked and now we will get the chance to explore them all. My imagination has finally came true. Play FFX-2 while you wait, that should give you a few hundred hours of stuff to keep you occupied. :D You could play X first I guess. certain story elements will have additional meaning if you do. Like, why do half the people in Spira practically worship Yuna as a goddess? That's because they've heard tales of the feats of strength she managed in the Sin war. A lot of the human enemies act scared of her because they know what she's capable of and would rather not be on the receiving end.
@@marhawkman303Thanks for the advice dude. I actually have th Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster on my Vita, so once I am done with Persona 4 Golden, I will play them then.
Upon seeing this video I really can relate to everything Rob says...pure nostalgia and at the same time super excited...I really love how you express your insights about this best rpg of all time...
“An Avalanche” - you sneaked that one in Rob! 😀 I’m very excited to explore ALL of Midgar. I love that it’s not just a 1 for 1 remake as that would miss the entire point for me. I want the original game but expanded because the world and cities were what I loved so much and I want to see as much of them all as possible. I want a new, yet familiar experience and it looks like I’ll get it Can’t wait
I think all of the games since X have been a trial and error of new technologies and ideas, and fans responses to them. Hopefully this results in a FFVII:R full of everything that works and none of the mistakes. After the mess of FFXV they really need to knock this one out of the park.
I have abandoned games for so long due to time restraints and not having game systems. I feel like I've been living under a rock in terms of the gaming world and the advances in gaming technology. Just watching all the game footage in this video is just jaw-dropping. When this game releases, I don't know if my body can take it. It would be stimulation and starstruck overload. This was my childhood game so I would be foolish not to play it. It would be the game to bring me back to gaming, if not only for this.
Noticed something... Have Rob ever played any other games from "FFVII compilation". When he talked about expanding the world of FFVII, which had already been done quite lone ago with CCFFVII, Before crisis and DoSVII, there was no mention of other interesting things he would like to explore in FFVII lore and characters like Genesis and Zack (Who was a big part of Cloud's character development). Oh well...
FF7 was the 1st RPG I ever played to completion. I went into it never playing a FF game before not knowing what to expect. And my young self was blown away. I can't wait to feel that way again. Thank you, Rob, and thank you FF7 Remake.
I love how excited Rob is. I wish i could feel like that! I never played any Final fantasy games. I know i held 7 in my hands several times because the cover always caught my eye but then put it back... I regret that now. I want the nostalgia too. Anyway, i'm excited for Rob now lol More videos!
I'm right there with you Rob! The more I see about FF7 remake the more giddy and excited I become! FF7 is my favorite RPG of all time! I have played the original so many times that if there was a platinum trophy for it I would have gotten it at least 4 or 5 times over. I can't wait to deep dive into this remake and explore the world and expanded story like never before!
Man I can't really express how much this game really means to me. When I first played it as a kid it literally changed the perception I had of what a video game was and could be. It's my favorite game of all time and my excitement for this remake is at an all time high. I can't wait!
Rob, I'm a first time viewer, I'm going to subscribe now, you have truly described exactly how I feel and how excited I am about this game.....its more than just playing a game, its like playing something out of my dreams....yes indeeed!
Final fantasy will always hold a special place for me. FFIV got me into jrpg. I got away from video games for a few years then I had a friend who kept telling me about a game I needed to try so after awhile I gave in. That game was ff7. It got me back into games and I have not looked back. So excited for this remake, finally!
I was worried about the game play, I am one who likes to take their time and think about my next move. I was frothing with excitement before, but I feel just as a star struck 🤩 with this, a portion of my 1997 favorite game of all time, the Grand Turismo franchise a close second. I’m so glad that you are as fan boy as I am. Oddly enough we are both called Rob.
Check out the Advent Children FF7 movie. It's made as a FFVII-2 for the fans by Square Enix and is my personal favorite video game based movie, with Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva as a close 2nd.
Yes! Someone else who likes Advent Children! I keep hearing so many complaints and I think it's brilliant! Crisis Core turned me into a blubbery mess, too, and really kick-started my fanfiction efforts.
(Fact) as a young kid I had a very hard time learning how to read while being taught at school. Long story short (Final Fantasy VII) taught me how to read when teachers at school couldn't. Thank you Final Fantasy VII, you'll always be my favorite game and hold a special place in my heart 😊.
agreed on all points. it's one thing to see them do their attacks and all, it's another to actually see them execute those attacks. Tifa, in particular, fights as she should so i'm seriously hyped as to seeing Vincent in action. then there's Red XIII, and Caith Sith...
U could do so many videos like 7 trophies we wanted to have but couldnt..7 games we thought was going to be good but wasnt..7 times a series did what we never expected..and may more cause u r Rob The Great and best script writer so plz dont get me wrong its just a fans opinion. If i have said anything harsh and have hurt u i am DEEPLY SOORY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

Rob, you've just got me hyped for the Final Fantasy VII remake...and I have never played any title in the Final Fantasy series.
@@OberynPinkViper Just don't be afraid to get a walkthrough
Upon seeing this video I really can relate to everything Rob says...pure nostalgia and at the same time super excited...I really love how you express your insights about this best rpg of all time...
The passion you speak about Final Fantasy VII is beyond. Feels like you’re reading my mind
“An Avalanche” - you sneaked that one in Rob! 😀
I’m very excited to explore ALL of Midgar. I love that it’s not just a 1 for 1 remake as that would miss the entire point for me. I want the original game but expanded because the world and cities were what I loved so much and I want to see as much of them all as possible. I want a new, yet familiar experience and it looks like I’ll get it
Can’t wait
Ff15 was just a test run for the ff7 remake. That's my truth and I'm sticking to it.
Both Final Fantasy games share the same engine, and the same cool real-time fighting mechanics. That `s why FF7 will be PERFECT!
Oh well...
And the movie advent children. It's a well fleshed out universe. I hope we get a DoS remake also.
hitlersmissingnut Yeah, AC too, especially the "Complete edition" one, where you shed tears every time Zack and Aerith were on the screen(
FF7 was the 1st RPG I ever played to completion.
Anyway, i'm excited for Rob now lol
More videos!
A Friday Feature all about FFVII? Perfect way to start the weekend! ;D
Temple of ancients, mount Nibel and rocket town. Omg gold saucer....mate this is gonna be an experience!!
All paid DLC I bet... this is 2019 remember.
They were all in the original game. It won't be DLC. They're part of the story.
My favorite sections from Midgar are the train graveyard and the climb up to Shinra HQ. Can’t wait to see how they’ve been reimagined!
I just love seeing Rob geek out and get enthusiastic about games he loves.
Sick video. I’m hyped too. You can’t tell me you weren’t missing the electric guitars and organs on the boss theme though!!!
I was born the year ff7 came out... you could say I was born to play this.
I’ve already preordered my copy. Knowing I can soon play VII, VIII, IX, and X on current consoles is such a beautiful thing. I’m so hyped!
Man I can't really express how much this game really means to me. When I first played it as a kid it literally changed the perception I had of what a video game was and could be.
It's my favorite game of all time and my excitement for this remake is at an all time high. I can't wait!
I can't get over how good Tifa looks. I can't wait to play this!!
Rob, I'm a first time viewer, I'm going to subscribe now, you have truly described exactly how I feel and how excited I am about this game.....its more than just playing a game, its like playing something out of my dreams....yes indeeed!
Mega geeky, but if I'm looking for videos made about a game that isn't even out yet then this is exactly what I want, superb!! Subscribed
How many videos about FF7 remake is this?
Yes.
Not enough
Robs excitement for this game is contagious. And I thought I was already hyped to begin with
I was worried about the game play, I am one who likes to take their time and think about my next move. I was frothing with excitement before, but I feel just as a star struck 🤩 with this, a portion of my 1997 favorite game of all time, the Grand Turismo franchise a close second. I’m so glad that you are as fan boy as I am. Oddly enough we are both called Rob.
Final Fantasy VII Remake? Here's a like from me.
You will take a total break from work when it released, right? Like what you ever tell before XD
Who else knew this was coming? Like it wouldn't happen! You know what makes it better is the genuine enthusiasm and excitement from Rob. :D
I've never played the original ff7 but I'm still super excited for the remake. Already have the deluxe edition completely paid in full
I will literally watch as many of these as you will make. I have the deep feels as well on this on Rob!
I never played the original, but watching my brother play it when we were kids is some really great memories. I am super hyped for this!
So like only 9 months left........... Has it been 9 months yet?!! :P
agreed on all points. it's one thing to see them do their attacks and all, it's another to actually see them execute those attacks.
This is one of the best game reviews. Even though I never played the original game I completely appreciate his excitement at revisiting a familiar game in a modern game engine and modern hardware.
