I got one for my wife, she loves it, I did override the Anbernic frontend and remap the button to ES.

Nice review! I'm liking mine so far too. Performance is pretty good for everything but Switch emu and the screen def looks really nice.

Most reviews don't cover this. I have chemical sensitivity and had to return the Steam Deck due to this. Looking for a retro handheld to tide me over until Ally 2 / Switch 2 arrives.

My GF's Rp4 pro triggers broke fast. Like 48 hours fast. Her little brothers broke in a week. Plus weird dead pixels that stretched horizontally appeared.
Don't even get me started on retroid's shitty customer service. We waited a month for a reply and another week for replacement parts. Along with thermal issues.
I am buying my first handheld emulator, did you ever had an Anbernic? What is the best brand in your opinion?
@@josef689From what I have heard they all have no name SD cards that are trash and should be replaced with good quality ones asap.

It would be nice if companies that launch handhelds like these have a Linux and then an Android version. Anbernic did it for the Arc which was silly. They should think about it for higher devices.
I think Anbernic have even done some dual OS boots before which is a shame they haven't lately

Android is infinitely more customisable, and you can do a lot more, but the setup process is tedious, and will push away a large portion of the community just like OP here. First, you have to install your frontend, which is the interface that you interact with, then you have to assign each platform to their own individual emulators. Stuff like that are hard for newbies and people who don't have much time.
As for Linux, most of the time, it is just plug and play. Some setup for QoL are needed, but overall straight to the point.@@drumyogi9281
