I remember when you would easily see 20 of these a day in anytown in America.
You are one lucky man doctor you have a piece of American history and rock and roll history of course owned by the great Mick Jagger enjoy
Thanks for your wonderful comment and wishes!
My older brother had a hardtop two door solid car …..but had a overheating problem …..back in 1970 just turn on the heater and open the windows 😊
That's a really cool car. My parents bought a 1964 Galaxie 500 Convertible when I was a kid. It had a 352. I did notice that your right-hand drive model has a different dashboard and gauges. The car we had had the same color interior but the paint was the darker Guardsman Blue.
What an interesting story. Thanks for sharing. Possibly the different dashboard is explained by the factorywise conversion to right hand drive...
Wow Kidd, were did find this vid ? For I know that you got it out of the asphalt some where and it really cool to see. Great job Kidd for I love seeing it. Old , Master Gunnery SGT USMC.
The car was 19 years old when Jagger bought it.
Probably one of the few classic cars you will ever find in Germany.
Nice car!
Glad he kept the original hubcaps
yes, it is very difficult to keep them in good condition. Putting them on and taking them off is quite challenging.
Mick obviously hadn't seen a 1963.5 Sport Roof Galaxie 500. Oh well! Totally different style, and way more sleek and attractive.
Whats that rod sticking out the dash?
I really don’t know yet. I haven’t found it out. I guess it was a headlight flash.
390 engine? 352? 289? Missing engine ID marker on left side?
390. It‘s shown. Look another time, you‘ll find it. On one side it has been stolen.
@@Performance1307 Thank you. You have better eyes than I.
@@gratefultube I know my car 😄
Australian-spec Ford Galaxie?
UK
I never knew that the Ford Galaxie RHD was commercially exported to the UK by Ford. The only RHD Ford Galaxies at that time were manufactured by Ford of Australia. I suppose that I learn something new every day.
@@baarai this galaxie was delivered to London. I have receipts and invoices from May 1964
Imported from the USA or Australia?
@@baarai Possibly Canada who built cars for the Commonwealth in RHD? Note this car has a 1960 Mercury comet dash insert.
