Wow! Thanks for capturing, editing & assembling such a sequence of shots. The dedication and consummate skill shines through. But most of all, thanks for sharing your work.
Excellent! Steam locomotives doing what they were made to do. No stupid music to spoil things...just beautiful working steam locomotives sounds/songs. That's the way to make these videos. Thanks.
We are so fortumate to have so many heritage rrailways some of which are quite large charities. You rarely have to travel more than 50 miles in England and Wales to find a decent steam railway so there are plenty of opportuniies for video. Steam on the main line is also common with typically between 2-5 services most days through the summer.
Watching later in the film now and got to where you get some great shots where you do pan round and they are great, I always feel a surge of thrilled excitement as the loco fills the frame and slams past with an explosion of sound and runs away from you to complete the thrill of it all, wonderful stuff, thank you so much from an old man who can't get around any more to practice what I preach, very best wishes to you, Pete
THRILLING! THE STEAM LOCOS ARE REALLY THE MAJESTIC ROYALTY of Railways! The Audios and the Smoke Coming out of the Engines make the Locos Living ! Why did they not resort to pulverized Fuel Injection?
It's good stuff but would be even better with more panning round to follow the shots and get the going away view, but I enjoy your videos, thank you very much Pete
@@MarshSteamVideosTM sorry don't know your Christian name but thanks for your reply, I understand what you are saying and I appreciate that there are many things which make it difficult, especially with the number of people who are at the lineside these days. I will definitely try to find your new video, I'm not so skilled as I might be on that side of things, I rely on stuff appearing on my screen, best wishes Peter Cope
Many thanks, Phil and Liam, for a superb compilation on a highly imaginative theme. Even though we tend to take for granted the quality of your video (and audio) captures, these are outstanding without exception, representing a massive amount of filming effort. The adoption of geographical sequence adds to the professional impact, with varied angles at each location completing the effectiveness. I particularly enjoyed the double headers and top'n'tails, but those also serve to highlight the achievement of the single locos. I also like your artistic licence with the naming of 34092 and 34081! Kind regards, Bob. p.s. Do you know if there is a map available with all of the location names (not just the stations), please?
Bob, many thanks for your kind assessment on my video, its much appreciated. I've got a guide somewhere at home with all the information I will have to dig it out when I return from holiday. You could always try google. Regards, Liam
It's often more down to local conditions over anything else, damp mornings when the track hasn't been used in a while are always worse whteber the engine. Normally improves after the first couple of trains mind.
You have to walk from the hamlet of Esk which is where the cottages are just outside of Grosmont, you head up the rail trail and then head over the river bridge on your left, then head towards the little viaduct and take a right turn through the gate, then you need to head north through the fields, you will see green end bridge in the distant once you walk up from the path. Hope this helps, its difficult to explain as in theory its not publicly accessible.
The "1/49" you can leave junk "rolling stock" parked on and isn't one tenth long enough to be considered a real "grade" or even long enough for one of those dinky-ass "trains" to fit on all at once. And looks closer to 1 foot in 49 YARDS than 1 foot in 49 feet, lol.

Beautiful video.
I initially clicked on the video thinking it was a model railroad.
The scenery and it's colours are also beautiful
the Brits make the best steam videos. Period.

Thanks, they do. Full stop.
Excellent compilation. Great to listen to these locos working steadily up the grade. Thanks for posting.
Magnificent. You do those of us who can't get to see the real thing a fine service. Thank you!
The sound is epic. At one point it felt like a train was about to drive through my lounge room.
Thank you, thank you for such an amazing collection. Not enough words!!
Marvelous film footage. The 9F always my favourite.

Wonderful film, editing, and subject. Many thanks. Rmb
This video is fantastic. The grades are a little easier than our 1 in 40 but these do make the engines bark nicely
Excellent piece of work!

It's been tried and may yet be tried again. It would require complete re engineering of the grate and blastpipe at the least.
Make a cup of tea sit down and enjoy this absolutely outstanding you will need a bath afterwards due to soot and smoke outstanding
Beautiful engine
Love the MSV
Such a Amazing Video
A Credit To You!✌🏻
Awesome video my friend ❤️ 🇮🇳
Thanks a lot 😊
So nice video
I noticed for the first time, some lumpy buckled rails.

Peter, I always pan when possible and only if it extends the shot. Try watching my most recent video which comes out today at 5pm.

Which locomotive had a difficulty with that gradient in this clip and which loco is better up that gradient
None really, they were all good performances !
@@MarshSteamVideosTM i rode up the hill behind 92 Squadron during the 2018 gala, she went down to about 5mph I believe

That’s good to hear then
Heading up next weekend for the steam gala, how do you get to green end bridge on google maps there is no street view to find the way?

Where do these preserved railways get their coal from
A lot use to come from South Wales but now its Russia and Kazakhstan !
At 2:48 there’s a tender that has WD and it looks to be a austerity tender what loco could that go to
Dame Vera Lynn, its still attached to the loco!

這是什麼世代了還在大量的使用蒸氣火車頭,使用煤炭當燃料,排放大量的有害物質,非常非常嚴重的汚染空氣品質,嚴重影響人類的健康甚巨,實在是很不好的行為。
