Armored Core Lore: Type Lahire

- Some would say this next is the creation from the minds of both Omer science an Rayleonard. A mixture of style and science who would become the next of collards number one Lynx this is the history of the Type Lahire Next.
Found in Armored Core for Answer
Best way of summing up this thing’s development history:
“Oh egads, my Lahire is ruined! But what if... I were to purchase Aaliyah and disguise it as my own NEXT? Oh ho ho ho ho... delightfully devilish, Omer!”
Ha ha well never expected a Simpsons line to explain the history of a next.
"purchase" uhhh no, they salvaged the ruins of Rayleonard and AkvaVit.
The LAHIRE is basically the love child of the AALIYAH and LISTANT (basically Guts and Griffifth)
@@wanderingbufoon I know.
It's a Simpsons reference, my man.
As an avid lahire user, I have to say the Lahire frame is capable of using any weapon loadout you wish to put on it. I stuck with close range combat as that's what the Lahire excels at.
Full build
Max tuning on load cap, energy output and capacity, turning, all rectification on frame
Lahire head, core, arms, and legs
Argyros generator
Aaliyah main, side, and back boosters
Sobrero AA Overboost
Motorcobra, moonlight, zinc, high anti ecm radar, and assault amplifier for enhanced AA damage and range
Bluexs fcs for blade handling
I tended to strike with the moonlight then fire the AA at point blank as they can't dodge it after being struck with the blade. I loved its defensive stats with primal armor up as it rivals middleweight nexts in terms of defense capabilities.
And this is what i like to read. I don't really get a lot of time with these nexts. So reading lynx that understand a craft on a different level is interesting to me.
I always love these Core reviews, makes me feel like I'm listening to a review of a high end sports car or something
Happy to hear this as there is more too come.
From all the AC designs, type Lahire is imo the coolest, it has this very sleek and aerodynamic design, reminds me of those black colored stealth jets IRL. The Stasis especially, looks so badass.
Which is kind of neat you say about jets as some of the armored core book refer to armored cores as aircrafts. Oh and Stasis is a very cool look next.
One thing I love about the upper part of the frame was how it was made to resemble a fighter jet.
But enough about that. ACL great video as always
Thank you for your kind words.
AALIYAH = F1 Car
LAHIRE = Fighter jet
I actually used to paint mine with white/ yellow/ blue scheme like the airshow jets
Not specific to this video, but I love the designs of the mechs in the series. An issue I have with Gundam is that they look too "human", and their functions make the Gundams act like glorified titans rather than machines. Designs of the the various nexts can sometimes feel like the engineers took drugs just to come up with the schematics, and I love it. Thank you for your videos. Keep it up!
Oh that's fair. I admit i don't know much about gundam, but from what I've seen grunt suits seem to be more grounded compared to the gundams. Then again maybe watching ua-cam.com/users/JasonDeAthenrye has swayed me to that view point.
After thousands of hours playing Armored Core 4 answer as a stand alone I too found myself drifting towards the Lahire type for the exact reasons specified in this video. I did change the head, arms, and internal boosting system to accommodate my particular playstyle.
Towards these later game sessions over the past several months I've found a very lethal combination.
As mentioned before a laserblade just feels... Right with the frame so I equipped it as a main means of damage. The complimentary arsenal included the HITMAN machine gun, the BIG SIOUX nuclear missile with side missile extensions. The final weapon addition to this set up is the SAPLA to keep weight down OR the 6 shot back mounted Kojima Cannon for complete devastation at multiple ranges.
As also mentioned energy management with this craft set up will deliver absolute punishment in the right hands. Additionally, being so low in stability being stunned is a real threat to be aware of as bouncing off obstacles will cancel the aforementioned Kojima cannon. Finally, one cannot charge the cannon AND initiate a blade swing simultaneously.
Very nice. This is what i like to think these videos evolve into. Letting people adapted this craft and use it to thier own style by using its weakness and strengths.
Just out of curiosity, what head, arms and boosting you use?
@@Esio_Sanson
Taking personality quirks into account I settled with the TELLUS head. Arms I had to be light, while still having good en damage capacity so I settled with the Latona arms. SURE the recoil control is TERRIBLE; However the main appeal is the high energy damage potential, low weight, and energy efficiency.
Boosting however: Virtue main for full forward when initiating a second stage. While conversely the aliyah will give you more vertical control once once the weight drops I have found it is of little issue.
Again, this is my own accumulated experience from the games release to today.
Heck I am able to play this beloved ACFA on Xbox as well as Playstation.
Everytime I see this next the lower half croth area just gives me zone of the Ender's vibes, you know the whole "cockpit" thing going on
Hmm you know, your right.
Lowkey, my favorite thing about the release of Elden Ring is the fact that a new AC game is next. Soulslike pvp really isnt doing it for me any more and I would much rather play PvP that an AC game would have to offer.
My only fear is that they try to make AC too soulslike just make a souls game with mechs
I'm crossing my fingers. I would like an AC game which players of both PVE and PVP could enjoy.
@@armoredcorelore from the crumbs we have CQC is more involved, maps seem the same large scale and that it will be Extrasolar
Yeah very few games can match the competitive feel of armoured core PvP. The personal stake of building your perfect machine, tuning it, stabilisation, painting it, naming it, creating a custom emblem and then pitting against other machines. Not sure I miss all the hate mail though 🤣
@LeoC cross your fingers for Tokyo Games Show this week. Fromsoft has an hour slot that they have labeled "???" and my guess is that it will be Armored Core and Elden ring DLC (there's no way they have a single project they can showcase for a whole hour).
I ran a Lahire build with a machine gun, laser blade, and that quad machine gun back part on the left side. It was a very fast and rather overtuned machine, it would never run out of energy even if I tried my hardest to until I overboosted. It was so agile that in missions that featured urban terrain, Lahire would regularly be flying between buildings like it was natural.
Hmm neat, it always fun to hear where lynx take thier next.
I love how the Lahire's back is like that of a fighter jet.
It is rather cool.
You know I always wondered why Otsdarva chose unsung over stasis for the final boss? Since he uses it every timeline, even the destruction timeline where they pulled all the stops.
He uses Stasis in the final orca mission on hard
Probably to conceal his identity
@@andrewrogers3067 Makes sense. If a little arrogant since none of it will mean a thing if he loses.
Stasis had been rendered combat ineffective because of White Glint. Considering that it flooded and probably sank, there was no way to retrieve it, or even repair it, as Otsdarva did pretend to be dead so all of his contacts would have been useless.
@@SouBU95 There's so much wrong with this. If the it was to deep for them then how did they place the foundation for the structure there fighting on, and if Otsdarva was acting alone then how did old king know heck why where they willing to take his help in the ORCA ending.
After getting back to the game again while waiting for AC6, I have to agree with you here especially on the missiles. I would argue that the main reason why Stasis uses those PM missiles is more to pressure enemies at longer ranges. While they're focusing on avoiding the missiles you can then close in with your short range guns and finish the job. The opposite is also true where if your enemy is running away you can just fire them off while giving chase.
Sound all good to me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this subject.
I love how clear it is that Lahire is just evolved and better Aaliyah.
Ah don't say that you'll hurt the Aaliyah feelings.
@@armoredcorelore don't get me wrong, Aaliyah is still by far my favourite NEXT.
Ha ha both certainly have won the hearts of many lynxs. I admit I'm still more Aaliyah fan then a lahire.
After like a year or 2 of playing armored core 4A i ended up sitting down and building a "perfect" build for myself and the conclusions i reached lead me to the Lahire in full its such a well rounded and clean working machine however i ended up using it in a more mid range roll giving me an appropriate load out for most missions or next fights i encountered using its fantastic speed and respectful amount of HP along with a good enough carry load for what i wanted to run it would allow me to be exactly where i wanted to be using the right weapon in basically any encounter a genuine gem of a machine
Nice and thank you for sharing. This to me is one of the many things AC is about, finding that next/AC that you gel with, a battle partner that is different for every lynx.
@@armoredcorelore I can only hope that the rumors are true and a new armored core is around the corner bonus points if its for PC and consoles
until then i will have to settle with replaying and want to be game (Daemon x Machina in particular)
Lahire legs and soluth core with high speed boosters with a moonlight equals glitchy teleporting gremlin builds on acfa pvp XD
I will have to take your word for that G. Gun as my last adventure into pvp was when the game came out.
Funny how a large part of these vids ends up becoming "NEXT Gear" instead of armored core lore, but maybe you could separate the lore and review part, but cover multiple machines? For example, Aldra's Söldner G8 and G9 are pretty much the same next with the only major difference being the legs, the G8 uses standard heavy legs, while the G9 utilizes reverse joints with a LOT of load capacity.
Well the problem is there is no much lore/history on any next. But you right I could have covered the series of next type in a video to bulk it out a bit, however I was still feeling my way as a creator so one to learn from.
You can actually turn the INBLUE into an extended mid range FCS by using the 047AN head, probably would have fit Stasis' fighting style a bit better.
Oh interesting. Maybe i should have a play with Stasis with this head on then. Might be a fun experiment.
The only thing im sad about is the side link booster shoulder extensions were not available as a model kit piece.
Edit: i remember the part: ABS-O710 side link booster
Oh really i am pretty new to model kits, is that a common thing for these?
@Armoredcorelore pretty much.
Just that some parts I like in this game were not included to the model kits.
To me, the main link booster back unit doesn't feel right without the side link booster shoulder unit in terms of a nice interchangeable model kit.
It was my craft of choice really. For the long distance i mounted and heavy cannon / grenade launcher or rail gun , i kept the radar , and as main weapon it was the dual assault rifle , a noob combo but still devastating to unleash a lot of bullet at close quarter and mid distance to the ennemy... ah ! The memories
Sounds fun and well we all like that trip down memory lane.
@@armoredcorelore its really fun. Or you can take a Heavy Mech , put on the dual gatling gun and gatling mounted weapon and play lit like a Heavy Armor Gundam where you drench your ennemies in bullet until they die before releasing the parts.
damn i wish we had an armored core formula front for pc in this next gen .... i adore the a c lore
I know what you mean as i do like formula front. Its still sitting in my psp.
Ooh.. I love the Antares and the Tresor. Used them in quite a few different builds.
Me too, i have become more an energy focused player as i have grown older as such it why i sued them in the example builds.
I Vaguely remember a white Type Lahire looking mech that had a single white wing missile/laser over one shoulder, anyone know who that is??
I am going to rattle out some names of white acs that match this description hoping this will help. Noblesse oblige, White Glint, Helix 1 and Asterism.
Mmmm my favourite frame a perfectly tuned monster, stabilised for enhanced turning a single energy sword in the right hand or left hand, small Reyleonard Machine gun in the other, internals specifically chosen for thrust power and capacity regen. Tuned to enhance its mobility regen and hitting power. A light mech with the sword swing of a medium.
I was a swordsman this Frame was my main 🤣
Sounds fun. I might have to try it out myself when I'm recording footage.
Hey, a request for next time, how about the Jet Type AFs made by ORCA? I’m genuinely very curious how they created it and where they got the schematics from, if they got them from somewhere or truly made it themselves
I hear. Its on my list and should be the next fort to be covered one after another few videos.
@@armoredcorelore YOU MADE A NEW PROFILE!
@@andrewrogers3067 Yes i decided it was time to move away from the boat to my own icon.
It has high heels.
Videos just keep getting better and better, thanks for the great work!
Thank you for your kind praise.
Really cool looking frame with an interesting backstory being made by both Omer and scientists from Rayleonard.
But man, this frame is AWFUL, next to no defense and awful stability really do drag it down. It might just be Omer weapons that under perform though.
its not entirely bad, it actually performs way better than the soluh frame (both biped and reversed) if used correctly, it has higher AP, balanced defence between ballistic and energy defences, to top of high PA defences, and low energy consumption, its capable of lasting long in aerial combat, if tuned correctly it can hover for an eternity. different regulations say differently and Most certainly agree that it can be the most useless frame to be used.. however the concept of the Lahire frame was meant for high speed and high PA defence capable of reduction in damage.
(playing the game right as now as we speak to confirm that)
the downfall of this AC is that it has not surpassed the Aaliya Frame. in a nutshell its a downgraded Aaliyah frame with speed as its major upgrade.
@@HeyPachuco I’m not a big fan of the Soluh frame myself. Though I agree it’s better
Personally I like the Aaliyah and the Judith frames more
Highest biped turning speed, highest maneuverability arms.
Page 35? There's a history book?
Yes there is two. One is called armored core a new order for nexts and Armored Core Design 4 for Answer. They are in Japanese, but google translate does a good enough job if you'd like a read.
How about the raven ark from Nexus ?
Will be covered. When i cover the ac3 universe in the future.
@@armoredcorelore finished it recently i need some lores about Nexus as the story was kinda scattered around
@@evanlester660 I will make a note and make sure it is the first thing I talk about when I cover ac3.
What was the heaviest Mech I used that all the time with miniguns On it.
AC4 or FA?
@@armoredcorelore AC4 "ANSWERS"
@@BatsuTheOni If we're talking next with back guns then it would be either be Gleditisa which has two chain guns on its back and his pretty heavy.
Transend and scarlet fox, one has a back chain gun while the other has arm machine guns otherwise but these are not heavy.
Or it could be fragile as that next is a walking machine gun, but that next is not heavy at all.
Other then that it might have been a custom next with either the raiden or Kiritumi next as a base or an Eklakh.
@@armoredcorelore okay thanks it's been awhile since I played it lol
