- This is my updated van set up. I am a self employed gardener running my gardening business. Mainly consisting of lawn cuts and hedge trims. I have since bought a Stihl 545 mower so this still sits in nicely without having to fold it down.

In my Volkswagen Caddy '07, I find it maddening when my equipment shifts around in the van as I driving, slowing me down. The only thing securely strapped in is my little giant ladder, held in place by a gym resistance band.

Brilliant van setup.
mines very very similar. im a builders labourer and do gardening aswell and love my wood working so i carry makita boxes where your fuel sits. i have a transit connect and the roof metal moulding have holes in so im looking for something that can fit in the roof liners to hold things. my spade shovel. rakes, edging tool, brushes and telescopic hedge trimmmer go on a rack like urs. mower where yours go, then v=buckets and grass bags. givin it a drag out n clean tomorrow as its raining so got the day off (aberdeenshire)
the skorva midbeam and brackets from ikea are handy for organising the van

I bought a Cobra strimmer and it was longer than the van space! It has to hang over the top of the barrier behind the front seats. LOL.
Im a bit different. I dont have a van but ive got a 6ft high by 8ft long box trailer and tow it with the car. 2 mowers and leaf blower on the floor and ive got it shelved so strimmers rakes brush and tools up top. Was thinking about getting a van but very low maintenance costs with a trailer apart from the car 😆

Would you use a day / half rate if you had loads of maintenance to do for on customer in a large garden,, load of work grass cutting weeding hedges trimming loads of maintenance and regular visits,, just can’t quote for all the work in one go ,, I can fall back on it and do half a days here and there when my work slows down,, how would you quote to do regular maintenance cheers
Hi! Thanks for the video! Did you have any serious mechanical problems with your van?I am new in the industry. I was planning to buy a berlingo or Peugeot but not sure how reliable they are?! I am using my car and a trailer in the moment.
Is yours the L1 version of the van? I’ve been using my Honda CRV since I started as it’s big and square in the back, but think it’s time to upgrade! (Plus it only gets 20mpg, so I'm constantly at the fuel station) do you have any idea what sort of MPG you get from yours? Cheers
the only trouble with false floor is it going to be to hi for getting mower in and out and also are you gonna have to fold handles on mower
I know that's the thing. I'll be leaving it like this for the foreseeable I think

Yeah just measures the space and built it. Just rough but it works well
