the mans wife came out "i hope youre not planting them trees my husband isnt happy and hes home at 2 o clock"
I said were digging the holes and standing the trees in for now but they arent being planted. If we wait until 2 to start digging we will be behind by half a day, whether its these trees or not something is being planted here so tell your husband that.

Even better than the mower as mulcher is leaving the stuff where it falls 😂 ! I mean on a serious note I have done that with a lot of hedge waste and come back to it later on as a project 😂 once it starts to decompose. Obviously it depends on factors.. the general area where you are, the customer, also if it’s grass underneath and it’s pristine lawn of course it’s gonna kill off the grass underneath but if it’s scrubby or whatever, like I’ve always said, every garden entirely different behaves entirely differently that’s why an hourly rate same for everyone doesn’t work.

1st question is who owns the hedge? In the first part where you started cutting there was a section of wire fencing and it looked as though the roots of the hedge were on the neighbours side. We had this problem and when we consulted a solicitor he said if the roots are on your side the hedge is yours, so all the neighbour could do was keep it level on his side to the boundary, but could not cut the top as the hedge was not his !!

Personally, I don’t get why anyone would want to have their large hedges cut in bird nesting season? There’s no way you can survey for nesting birds adequately. This is why it is illegal for Farmers to cut hedges in nesting season, this should in my opinion apply to commercial gardeners as well. I do all my hedges from the end of September through to February. I only work with clients who understand the importance of the nesting season.
Good job on the hedge though.
