Nice!❤. I was natural most of my life, but after being relaxed for a while, I jumped back on the natural train six years ago only to be reminded that my fine low density hair will *never* achieve guru status (something they don't tell you lol). Circling the drain and finally about to jump back on the texlax or relaxer train and stay there for good because quite frankly those were my best and easiest hair days. I am 100 percent over the failed natural wash and goes and post-fail low buns. I already established an Olaplex\K18 regimen and am reacquainting myself with healthy relaxed best practices, so thanks for the inspo!💗💖🌺
Wow… I so love this! First of all: thank you! ☺️ Second of all: Welcome back to the relaxed side of things! I’m genuinely excited for you and the start of your new, healthy hair journey. 2025 is going to be your year!! Thanks for this update! #Letsgo 💪🏾♥️
Good Evening Dolce. Thanks for the update. Your hair is AMAZING! So Beautiful. Its much longer than in the previous update. My hair is coming along. You may recall I reported that I had reached a plateau. I am happy to report that I have moved past that! I took your advice and did a deep dive into reviewing my regimen. I've simplified things by limiting the number of products. and being consistent. I also now wash my hair whenever my scalp feels itchy which is about every five days. Seems to be working. I really cannot wait 2 weeks to do a hair wash. Have a nice evening.
Good evening, Judy! THANK YOU!!! And, Yay! I'm so glad to hear your hair is coming along! Simple, more often than not, is better. So, keep going, girl! Your hair goals are on the horizon. #Letsgo 💪🏾 ♥️
Went back to roller sets. I quite like them from time to time. Just water and sometimes very diluted foam wrap and just let it air dry unless I'm up to pulling out the hard hat dryer. Still get a wet wrap. My hair seems to like them-all four strands of hair. Your hair reminds me that it is possible. Thanks for checking in. Your hair is beautiful as always.
THANK YOU, EBUNIMISSES!! LOL @ “all four strands of hair”! Stop! But I love that you went back to roller sets. Good option. Wish I could do one, but I don’t have my dryer with me… 😔 Anywho, thanks for this update! ♥️
Hi Dolce, I don't usually comment but your hair definitely helps me keep the faith in my hair growth. I'm deciding to shave my head low and start over with my relaxed hair journey.😊
Hey, Neicy! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you can find encouragement from my hair journey. And I love your decision in starting over. Thanks so much for sharing this update. You got this!! 💪🏾♥️
Hello Dolce ! Loving that length 👌🏽. Your hair looking mighty good as always, and I see waist length is a heartbeat away. ROLL CALL!!!📣📣 My hair grew a bit more this summer, so I plan to trim it back to bra strap length when I relax my hair next week.
Heyyyyy there sis! It’s been a minute for myself but I’m here. Your hair is looking beautiful as always! As for myself I’m starting to see progress! I’m finally pass shoulder length 🙌. I’ve been using Kera Care hydrating shampoo and the infamous Humecto conditioner and it’s been great. I just ran out of my products but I still had my two big bottles of Theorie products so I thought to give it another try because I hate waisting money. I used them in my most recent wash day & honey my hair looked, felt and smelled great! So I’m back on team Theorie! Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us and inviting us to share ours with you along the way! 🤗❤️ #TeamHairGoals #HealthyRelaxedHair #MyRelaxedHairJourney
Heyyyy, girlie! Thank you!! Long time, no hear from! 😉 So happy- no, ecstatic - that you’re seeing progress and are past shoulder - YAY! And I don’t like wasting stuff either, so hopefully this time is the charm and the streak continues (welcome back to #TeamTheorie! 🧴). And I want to thank you for so much for checking in and joining me in this journey as well as sharing deets from yours. Appreciate it and love reading all about it! Have a wonder holiday, sis!! 🎄♥️
Excellent update and magnificent hair! I have a request. Please do a slow motion shot during the time that you show the length and 360 general overview of the condition of your hair’s body, shine and freedom of movement.🎉
Your hair looks nice and thick! I've recently learned that a lot of OG stylists also used their fingers for relaxer application. I'm growing out my bangs and they've finally made it almost to my armpits!!
Hey, girl! So glad you liked the hair - thank you! ☺️ Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a stylist use their fingers - which I would understand - but I do believe they are the perfect applicator! 🙌🏾 I'm happy to hear your bangs are flourishing, too! I was thinking about growing mine back out, but just can’t decide. Ahhh…Decisions. decisions…lol Anywho, thanks for the update! 👍🏾♥️
D olce I almost cried lol. I'm so happy for you!! Your hair is amazingly beautiful. I've seen the journey from beginning to now. Well done sis!!🌟♥️ I have made a comeback after several setbacks. I stayed the course. I hope to obtain additional length now. I'm excited I have a new stylist who knows the science of hair! Btw what is the length of your hair inches wise if you know or is it lower back almost hip? I like the length on you. Does it affect drying time? Also do you cut even straight across the back on longest parts of hair OR utilizing same method?? Thanks so much!! You look GORGEOUS friend!!😊🎉🎉
Hey, Kimberly!! Aww… thank you so much 🥹 And I'm super excited about your stylist, too! It’s so important to find the right person and I’m so glad you did. Not sure about inches, but I think I’m tickling waist right now, the length doesn’t affect my drying time and I definitely trim/cut the same way as I love the way it lays afterwards Again, thank you so much, sis! 😉♥️
Hi Dolce great video. Your hair is so thick and healthy. You dust and trim regularly. I would feel that I’m cutting every inch that’s growing but your hair is flowing and growing 😀I put in relaxer with my finger also so maybe I’ll try the rubber finger too. Thanks again for all the hair tips 😊
Hey, Debra! I know it can feel like you're cutting all your progress off, but you’re really not and, trust me - it's worth it! 😉 And, yes, you should, try the “rubber finger”. (And if you do, let me know what you think. 👍🏾)
I am just starting month two of my bond repair and protein treatments to repair the breakage and the damage. My routine is Epres, Olaplex #3, L'oreal Bond strengthener, medium protein then Living Proof Triple Bond Complex and same products but with a strong protein treatment the next wash. The breakage has slowed but I plan on implementing for at lest 3 months ideally 6 months.
Good afternoon, How often should I use a clarifying shampoo? I have been using it at least twice a month and my hair looks dull, not sure if this could be the issue.
Hey, Lynn! Depending on the amount of buildup from the rest of the products you use, you really shouldn’t have to use it often as using it too often can make the hair dry. How do you style your hair and do you use heat? If the latter, do you use a heat protectant? When was your last trim? Do you use heavy oils on your hair or air dry? Dull hair could be the sign of a few things and through the process of elimination you can pare it down to the true culprit(s).
Hey, Lovely0513! No, I don’t use oil on my hair or scalp. If interested, I do have my regimen videos - including the products I do use - in the description box that you may find helpful ♥️
