You should totally try the Revlon Oval Styler. It is about $60.00 and creates a beautiful sleek blow out. I was debating getting the Dyson system but got the Revlon instead and have been absolutely loving the results at a fraction of the price!
I think the Dyson side has more body, maybe because you used the curling barrel. Also the ghd side looked a little more fluffy/static as you were drying it. Where as the Dyson side had no frizz. Not alot of difference between the two. But I have similar hair to you, and I would choose the Dyson. Thanks Elle, useful to know.x 😄
I love that you did the Dyson Airwrap and not just the blow dryer. I prefer the side with more volume and bounce on you, but I think I am in the minority. I like blow dryers with brush attachments (even when my hair was long) because I can get more tension than with a brush and dryer separately. It does take some getting used to and practice though. Note: I have fine, curly/wavy hair
I have the GHD glide and it’s so quick and easy to straighten and smooth my hair and mine is even curler and frizzes easier than yours Elle! I love it for a quick ‘done’ look! I think it also leaves a nice shiny look to the hair- your hair looks beautiful either way nonetheless! 💖💖💖thank you for doing this review! Xxx
Elle, be very careful with an electric brush. Because I bought one. What it did to my hair was whether my hair was wet or dry, each time I passed that brush it trimmed my hair in caps. You can see the results in the brush.
Thanks for the detailed review! I have always been curious about the dyson but i think i will stick with my revlon one step dryer and volumizer (about $50 from amazon). 😃
Elle Florence i have hair much like yours and can blow dry with my normal dryer to get some of the water out, and then use it. The effect is like a professional blow out, not super straight but lots of body that lasts for days! If I use it on wet hair it takes quite a while, but still works great. Just a thought for those who don’t have the budget for the GHD products. Revlon makes a paddle style one too, which i didn’t like - the one i have i like a gigantic somewhat round brush!
Elle Florence the Babyliss one is fab! So easy to use. Lots of volume and great at tackling frizz. I style my hair a lot like yours (same thick, frizzy, curly texture, I’m just auburn) by leaving it to dry naturally over night and then styling the next day and it has cut the length of time I need to do it in half! I love that there are button to spin the brush end around too. Saves your arms!
Your video was really confusing. You talked about straightening your hair but you used the airwrap brush to curl the ends. If you wanted a straight look, then you wouldn't be trying to curl the ends. Then you used a round brush (which curls and adds volume) to dry your hair on the GHD side and then straightened your hair with the GHD glide. In my opinion it wasn't a fair comparison.

Kaitlyn Holm and the revlon one isn’t as complicated as the Dyson!!
Really??? Thanks for sharing!
Liliann31 it is really amazing! Milabu and Kathleenlights both have videos about it.

My hair texture, length and volume is almost identical to yours, so I like the GHD side simply because I strive for the sleek look.

You should really try the revlon styler same results only 60 bucks! its amazing
I agree...I have one and it does an excellent job on my thick wavy hair. However, it’s noisy...so maybe the glide would be nice.

The GHD Glide is meant to e used on fully dry hair.

Is it strong enough to dry wet hair! Been curious about the babyliss and revlon versions!

I prefer the GHD side, it looks sleeker, tidier and more groomed. The Dyson side looks a bit too endy.
Thanks for reviewing this!
La pasas demasiado rápido la ghd glide y no m usas bien por eso te da mejor resultado la dyson...
Does the outer side of the Dyson Glide get hot to the touch? I always have questions the second time watching lol
The bristles are hot but the back side doesn’t get more than quite warm because I can comfortable handle it xx
love your hair

These products are totally different to each other... they can't be compared....
You didn’t even use the round brush properly
You remind me so much of Lily Collins
