Great shout! we only have the sun in England for about half an hour a year 😅 but I have seen pictures of these and other brands with peeling leather dashes in hotter places 👍
You nailed the essentials. Have all of them except the CC Charger which I ordered a couple of weeks ago. It’s not an essential per se, but I also just got a Foxwell NT710 code reader with the Aston software on it.
Guess who just found one of these older seat belt Urban Kanga travel seat on Facebook marketplace 😬 it’s such a versatile piece of kit!! Not had chance to sit the munchkin in it yet but it’s well built and previous owner hardly used it so it’s like new! Will be taking it on holiday later this week! Perfect timing and great recommendation!! Thanks again Ben!!
@@dadcars it was also an easy sell for the Mrs as soon as I told her about it and she saw it in action and how it would fit in a suitcase or even allow to carry it on board. After the experience of renting a baby seat in Canada it’s put us off trusting rental seats and their questionable safety.
@@sportzntouring Yeah, doing my best for that to happen :) Especially the Aston videos! If DadB9 videos perform the best, he has no other choice but to keep it 🤣
That exhaust switch is fantastic for when we are going around in our Aston, the ability to just immediately increase and decrease the volume makes it a real must, especially on long motorway journeys. We have the Aston Installations car play system on our Vantage and it is a real must, as you can easily have maps up your music or whatever else, it is so fullfiling to turn it into an actual usable screen rather than the old Volvo it was before. For the trickle charger you really need one and you can get online a solar panel that you put in the windscreen and will charge the car, I imagine it is helpful whilst parking on the street for long periods of time.
@@dadcars We have not used yet on our trip, but was recommended to us by a member of our Aston Martin group who lives in London and uses it permanently to keep the battery topped up and the alarm on.

Yep, I was trying to pass a horse the other week without it going nuts😂 Definitely going for the pilot sports when my current tyres are done, the Mrs just got some on her clover leaf Giulietta and they are amazing! Mine is not to bad on the battery, best I’ve had so far is 2.5 weeks standing. Will be sad to see yours go but I’m intrigued as to what you will replace it with.
Yeah that’s what I thought, honestly worth buying even if just for the winter months during gaps in driving 👍 I’m 100% certain I will have an Aston again in the future 😎
Hello great video. I am here in the US and I have a 2016 Rapide S and my question is about the infotainment system. Did you swap it out for an upgrade at a stereo shop or did I hear you say that you had had done at Aston Martin?
To be honest, the Pilot Sport 4 is a no brainier for any car, or bike for that matter, whatever Michelin did for those tyres, they absolutely nailed it. As a biker, tyres are so important to me; for all the fancy tech, there only thing that keeps you on the road is those black rubber circles, so I always try for the best. On the flip side, I’ve never had a Bridgestone, or known someone who had them, two or four wheels that wasn’t crap. I honestly don’t know where the good reputation comes from…
It’s surprising though as when I was buying the car from somewhere you’d expect to know this, they were going to replace two of the tires with Bridgestones so I said knock that off the price and I’ll do it, then got pilot sport 4s on 🤷♂️
Guys don't laugh but the Sailun Atrezzos are excellent affordable tyres if you are on a budget. The Chinese manufacturers LingLong and Sailun are no low quality at all. ;)
Maybe worth mentioning why a ctek and not a cheap no name charger. Could about the tech for hours but empirically batteries last longer on cteks than any other charger. I have 18 of them! (And one noco for a 6v).
What amazed me the most out of the cars I drove on my fleeting track day experience was the Porsche was a lumbering heavy thing. The Ferrari was too picky and highly strung whereas the Aston was like.. Oh you want to drive and go fast and stop in effortless control? Done.

Here's something you missed out. Don't buy an Aston Martin. Instead, buy a practical family car that doesn't die after 3 day's of inactivity and has everything inside that you need for practical every day driving at a fraction of the cost. A grand on tyres? Under £200 for my Ford Fiesta Ecoboost. 450 miles on a full tank of fuel. Buckets of torque as they are fitted with a mini turbo. Now that's practical.
A cover craft sun shade is also a must have here in the Texas heat. Especially to protect the dash leather from peeling.
