Kevin your 2005 db9 is the same as I own , except my waterfall I changed to bamboo , other than that it’s identical , Iv owned it since new 2004 , and I like the fact it’s the original first db9 . Honestly anyone wanting a db9 go and buy one , owning an aston is something so special . I will never sell mine as it’s part of me now , even 20 years ago I told the dealership I’m keeping it forever , not sure they believed me at the time , but I did 🥇
The first model is the purest and most classical version. The so called 'improvements' detract in many ways impo. More bhp is nice in the later cars but not necessary.
All of the n/a Aston V12 engines are 5.9 litres, but badged as 6.0 on the engine cover. The displacement of the engines in all three of these cars is identical.
Yep, they're all 5935cc engines. This and a few other mistakes make it clear the video isn't very well researched. For example; the 2013 DB9 wasn't the most powerful iteration of the DB9 either. There was a later 540bhp version in the DB9 GT which had some interior upgrades such as the waterfall from the Vanquish (pretty much as different from the 2013 car as the 2005 to 2009 MY cars).
Great Video. I have a like new 2014 that I plan to keep. Live in North Dallas, Tx. You rarely see DB9s. Very Special Car!! Appreciate your video explaining the updates.
I have ran XKs for over 20 years loved them and I have been looking at a late DB9 which ticks all the boxes but I am really worried about the cost of carbon brakes I am not a fast driver and i dont do track stuff but the cost of repair around 4k is madness i know they are supposed to last but like anything they can and do go wrong My next option is DB11 with normal brakes the price of a late DB9 and an early DB11 are around the same but the DB11 is on steroids compared to DB11 which has the power but its not in your face all the time Its a hard choice to be honest the XK is a great car and if they made a new version i would stick with Jag My other option is Lexus LC500 a very reliable car which Lexus give a free warranty up to age 10 I have never been so undecided in my life about what car too buy My Brain says Lexus and my heart says Aston and my bank account says stay with the Jag long term great video thank you
@@Jeffybonbon thanks for your comment Jeff. The last of the DB9s is a very sorted car. I wouldn’t be concerned about the brakes, they’re fine with normal use. The DB11 is newer tech though and worth the stretch. LC500 is a wonderful machine, fewer of them around and overall I’d a cheaper package to run. Nice problem to have 👍

Nice informative video.......and great to see a DB9 with some colour, that '13 is a gorgeous spec!
Much appreciated Paul 👍
Kevin the DB9 lived on as the DB9 GT until 2016. It was only after that the DB11 was introduced
Yes, and that’s a sought after model 👍
Great content ❤
Thank you 🙏

Is the room/space in tje back seat the same? Lets say i wanna let 2 kids sit in tje back im 5,11 tall
No, back seats are fairly useless for children over 6 years
Nice car. Sir, How is the business going?
It's good, thanks

A thoughtfully made upload. But I'm afraid your association with a certain Mr Thorpe does you no favours at all.
Agreed.
