PS. I just put two and two together, but I recently heard the greatest interview with Angela White (aka the Running Granny) on Tough Girl Podcast and she was talking about the 62 summits run for her 62nd birthday! Incredible. Small world.
Any lakes race is amazing. It’s a must. Weather makes it so got to be lucky but a few attempts and you get a good one. Thanks for watching. The running granny - what a lady 👍👍👍
Great run, Adam. Stunning scenery too. I ran my first ‘ultra’ yesterday in training covering 55km. I am running ‘race to the stones’ 100km in 3 weeks and your videos have really helped with my prep/nutrition etc.
@@ultrarunneradam I felt surprisingly good - tailwind and ‘real’ food seems to be a good combo for me and I just took it steady. More the boredom in the end! Hopefully boredom won’t be an issue on the day.
@@danwilson3457 that’s good as sounds like you got nutrition about right. Boredom can set in but during the race you always meet people and chat. If you like a bit of social. Thing I find when training long runs Is the shorter ones fly by. Well done and keep the training consistent so you don’t overtrain and taper as always. Tailwind do caffeine mixes. Be careful as they can hit your gut especially towards last 1/3 of race.
Great video mate and inspirational as always mate. I did my first 50 miler last week, the pennine barrier 50 in the Yorkshire Dales, a beautiful route (you should check it out), and being relatively new to the sport your vids have really helped as I find my way in the running/ultrarunning world. Cheers for the content!
Great to hear that Chris - first 50 as well 👍👍 I’ll check it out. Just signed up to UTS in snowdonia for September so planning some training as we speak. I’m hoping to get a series out covering building a training plan. We shall see…
I would go with Arsekham because I am from Surray! 🤣😜 Monster effort mate truly inspirational stuff you made it look easy! Shout out the lady who hit those 62 peaks! What a incredible effort. Great video bud! Keep up the good work! 😎🤘🏻
Pretty good. A few ankle twist moments but that’s the terrain - my Ash same issue and ran in zero drop altras. My ankle still an issue so I trod lightly which caused some frustration
Well done! Amazing scenery, it takes me back when I used to go up to the Lakes to take part in the 10Peaks Challenge (Similar event to Lakes Mountain 40) every year, religiously, High Rise and Helvellyn are part of it. Here's the link www.10peaks.com/the-lakes/long-course/ just in case. It looks like you did Striding Edge on your way back down from the summit of Helvellyn. Well done
Thanks victor. I just checked it out. Now that’s a challenge. How long did it take you? I did LIAD in terrible weather back in 2017. Went down swirrals not striding - quicker as lots of people. It’s looked insane 😅😅
@@ultrarunneradam it took me 20 hours, my fastest time. There’s cut off time of 24 hours which put more pressure haha. I’m sure you can do it under 20 if the condition are favourable. I have already signed up to the event but it has been postponed due to Covid-19. As you said in your video, it’s a proper adventure and it starts with travelling up there haha.
Looked like a lot of fun in a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Neil - seemed a shame to run as had to concentrate foot landing rather than look at the views
You're great; All the very best.
Thanks 🙏
Great video as always mate , wow amazing race with fantastic views thanks for taking us along 🏃♂️🍺
Cheers jase - glad you enjoyed. The place is stunning which I said many a time 😂😂
Looks like a great run 🤩
Thanks Julie it was a beaut 👍👍👍 have you been to the lakes?
I went to the lakes a few years ago to climb Scafell pike - but sadly it was only an overnight visit.
Loved this … epic runs. Luckily in a hoka with the glass !
I’d be out if an altra shoe 😂😂
This looks epic! Great video Adam!
Thanks Randy! 😀😀
Fantastic video, good pictures and music. O nice running.
Thanks Darren 👍👍
OMG it looks amazing up there 😍
Beautiful - like the alps but lower 😂 shame weather is so unpredictable
Wow! What incredible scenery! I'm putting that on my bucket list. Thanks for the video.

As usual Adam another great video , thank you , running for the love of it and in stunning scenery, brilliant 👍👍
I was at my happiest dipping my cap in and getting drenched. Thanks Neil as always 👍👍
Looks a great race and a beer at the end. What more do you need in life?
Top hospitality at the end for such a low key race - the beers were ice cold too! 👌👌👌

So pleased to hear that! The ‘why’ I do this is exactly to help you with your ultra training and racing. How did you feel when past the 26.2 mark?
