For sure. Bring her back. She may "reluctantly agree" to lend us her impressions. As far as the shoes; I was surprised how nice the double monk straps looked. That color really made them. Personally, I would prefer Jodhpur boots to any of these. Perhaps she might have preferred a black cap toe oxford in that dress up category. I am glad that she liked the wing tip shoes. That style works very well for me and is very versatile. Five pairs of shoes? I wish it were so easy. Thank you for this video. I appreciate both of you.
Thanks for the comment, William! I really liked the double monks too. I agree, a black toe cap might make the Oxfords slightly more visually interesting. Personally, I would only wear Oxfords for a funeral or a highly serious business meeting (which I do not have in my life), so I more regularly choose brogues as my dress shoes. I'm a style minimalist and I think five is a good place to start! But when there are so many good options, it can be hard to limit yourself. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and I look forward to sharing lots more with you.
Solid video. Intelligent guest. Nice to hear that her tastes are still classic. Many really seem confused with poor styling these days. So many Women and Men do not seem self aware of how they are coming across when they just throw something on to wear.
No one talks about how difficult it can be to walk in boots, despite how nice they may look
Boots can be extremely comfortable but it takes time to break them in. My Red Wings are like slippers at this point and I wear them every chance I get
I grew up in boots so I think loafers feel strange to walk in but I can see how people might think boots aren’t the easiest to wear.

I have walked all over berlin with my Spanish low western boots that had an inch high heel, very comfortable. If you get high quality shoes that fit correctly theyre about as comfy as sneaker
Chukka boots are the hole in my wardrobe I probably will never fill. I would always reach for something else like loafers or low profile sneakers.

She and I have very similar taste in shoes..I liked all the ones that she liked and I disliked the ones that she disliked! Especially those chuka boots!

My personal style in formal/semi formal shoes wingtips and cap toes solid color or two tone (black & white look badass). Boots Chelsea boos leather and suede and lace up boots. Sneakers all white leather sneakers, white leather with gum sole (it gives the European vibes) two tone brown leather sneakers and lastly Converse chuck Taylors high tops 70s 😎
These are the types of girl/women I like to listen to, these are rare,bring her back for sure my friend

I was honestly shocked how she did not like the chukkas, because I love them. But I think Chelseas are the thing if you are looking for an attractive, versatile style.
Fascinating. I dislike loafers of any kind. To me, they are an in-between shoe that don’t seem to work with any outfit. Maybe I have been traumatized by my upbringing around lots of rich t$&ts. I wear service boots whenever I can and am glad that A likes them. I would have been interested in her opinion of some of the nicer moc toe boots - such as Red Wing.
I like chuka boots, I have chuka boots but for some reason I did not like those in the picture. Those grey suede loafers were very smart. I love monk strap shoes more so than lace-ups even though I have both. I also have brown and black leather trainers, and women and men have complimented me on them. I am 63, maybe that makes the difference. I also have Chelsea boots, which I love.

4:28 With the black oxfords being a whole cut rather than more well known cap toe, if I saw these I'd say the man really knows about men's style. Anyone can reach for a cap toe oxford, but a whole cut shows understanding. I want a pair of loafers but I think penny loafers; something about tassel flapping about feels a bit girly?
Get them with out the tassels....

@@Mr._Martinez loafers are tricky because they can hurt your feet a lot especially if you wear them with no show socks. Suit Supply have very good quality for the money and modern styles. So that’s my top recommendation. A lot of people say GH Bass are good quality although the styles are not to my taste. Steve Madden has some great styles under $100 but it will be a quality compromise! As someone who has had many a blister from loafers, I would recommend breaking every pair in by wearing two layers of socks around the house before you wear them with no show socks outside

I agree with Augustina in almost every way. Zhandra concurs. She really hates chukka boots and I've never understood the appeal. Maybe something in a formal leather could be acceptable, but I will never own a pair. Chelsea boots are a far different animal. Simple elegance at its finest. However, Zhandra and I both agree on me choosing lace up / service style boots for everyday business. I work in technical sales for the chemical industry. These boots can be worn in the office, lab, and shop floor with out missing a beat. I rarely wear sneakers. Derby's and Oxford's in various shades of brown or burgundy with or without broguing are my ideal choice when shoes would be the better option. Now about those horrific Nike athletic shoes. How to describe them? Clown shit come to mind. Loafers are cool in hot weather. Penny loafers are my first choice with tassel loafers a close second. Now in terms of style, in my highly biased opinion, bit loafers are just as shitty as chunky grandpa athletic shoes. Well... almost as shitty anyway. We would enjoy more episodes with Augustina. The choice of topic will be left to you two or another commenter. Great work by the way. A vast number of men, regardless of age, need to hear this kind of thing.
Hi Scott, great to hear you are enjoying the channel! For your profession, boots sound like a great choice. I love loafers, but you are right in saying they sometimes look like grandpa shoes! I'm planning on doing a video specifically about how to wear loafers as a young man and avoid looking like a grandpa in his slippers!
