Good video! For the passat b7, you don't need to unmount the track rod ball joint. If you do it should be tightened to 100 Nm, loosened (turned back) 180° and retightened to 100 Nm. Renew the nut. The 3 bolts on the swivel joint have to tightened to 100 Nm in case the suspension link is made of sheet steel or forged aluminium. 60 Nm is for cast steel. Also they need to tightened to torque when the vehicle is in unladen position (normal position of the vehicle). The nut tightening the strut arm to the wheel bearing housing must also be renewed. The tip of the bolt must always face the direction of travel.

Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make and post this. It helped me out a lot; especially with all the torque specs you provided.

You don't have to separate the track rod ,at all.
The ball joint would be enough to do this job.

You took off the entire wheel assembly to change the struts lmao, that is so rediculous it's beyond words. Anybody watching this please don't do what this guy just did, it's absolutely insane, and uncalled for.

      Digger D
It’s an Extractor for Ball joints. This tool box allows to extract joint puller etc… properly without
      breaking something.
