Thx so much unbelievably helpful no sarcasm I was so frustrated trying to figure out a solution on UA-cam I've got rusty/corroded propane fittings and want to get them as clean an safe as possible at the same time I need heat thank you God bless
You just solved my problem very economically, thank you!
thank you!
i'll see if i can put something like that together.
thank you!!!
Great tip my man....never thought of that 👍👍👍😃
Wow this information was exactually what I need thank you
Good thinking, Ray!
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Cool tip. You always have good ones.
Jim Dockrell thank you 👍
That's a really cool idea and easily doable for pretty much anyone! I have a very old drillpress with a complicated hollow frame (a lot of bents etc.) that was really rusty inside but the rust was relatively hard. I used "owatrol oil rust sealant spray" with a long tube that has a nozzle at the end. That oil is really "thin" but once it dries it becomes like paint. It was a pretty good way to stop rust and preserving the frame. Not sure if you guys in the USA have something similiar but I would assume you do.
I rarely repaint machine cases, only if I really have to. Most of my machines just get cleaned thoroughly and I use that oil to preserve the outside of the machine. Just dont use it on moving parts.
Shermingtan we have some similar products called “rust converters” I followed up the wire brush with some
nice and simple
It works very well....
AWESOME!
Good tip.
Good idea, another great thing is some stuff called Evaporust, maybe you could have filled it up with that. I dont know if there was more than one hole or what but i like that stuff it last a long time
Max Hallowell I have some but not nearly enough to fill the whole tube
I have a ~70in long foot tube with ~4in diameter hole. Some rust had made it's way in I need some advice !
Nice, thanks man.
Thanks for watching
can you clean out glavanized water supply lines with this method?
This is pretty neat, but... Is there a much smaller version of this that can fit inside a 2cm wide metal tube/pipe?
Great idea. Anyone have a way to clean out a tube that is 7-8 feet long and moderately windey?
The tool you are looking for is used to clean out oil and water passages when rebuilding an engine - they come in a variety of sizes. But honestly, your solution is probably cheaper and worth the effort.
Good to know thanks 👍
Neat
Thanks
Turbo steel piping...
Plus, now you've got something new to try with the wife :)
Holy rusty love canal Batman!
i think i see some earthquake LOL
I’m not sure I follow
Just wondering why you would want to clean the inside of a tube not being used as a pipe??
Keep the rust from continuing to degrade the metal over time and because I put some rust converter on it and I wanted to knock off the majority of the rust first.
