We are back to work on the home renovation and the hotel renovation in the Sierras of Cordoba, Argentina and this time around, we've got my dad, Daniel, to help!
We hit the ground running. The same morning we arrived on the bus from Buenos Aires, we went over to the property and got started on various tasks. My dad started chiselling the rear hotel wall that has some humidity infiltration. Once the loose mortar has been removed, this wall will receive a special hydrofuge treatment.
Other jobs on the property this week included cleaning the grout lines on the floors before the new grout is applied. This was a rather intensive job that involved 3 days of scraping on our hands and knees. We also ended up buying an industrial vacuum for the construction site, which turned into a clown show once we got back to the house and realized that half of our electric outlets didn't work. (Spoiler alert: it was an easy fix! They had forgotten to connect one component.)
We also did a bit of volunteer work in the village. This time we were planting trees in one of the plazas which was looking pretty bare. A few years from now we'll have shade and a beautiful place for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Lastly, we finished off the week with a pretty casual BBQ. We had a perfect autumn day that was just ideal for grilling and hanging out in nature after a super busy week of renovations.

Daniel is a life worrier. Argentinian meat alllows more cook in order to its tenderness. All the arrangements are incredibly done. The hotel is caressed by the sun. Beautiful work
