Yes, the brand is Coherent, right? It is a Canadian brand. I am very interested as well, but there is hardly any review, and there is no dealers. Please do a review on them. 🙏
Those really look like "art". I been having a difficult time finding acoustic solutions with *any* WAF, but *need* to treat my first reflection points and corners. Finally, a good looking solution that's affordable. Thanks Jay! 😊
So Cool and thank you! With the on-camera microphone. As you walk around we can hear how well the dampening is working for each standing spot. There are moments when the room is well dampened and moments when the room is super resonant. Great video Jay.
if you're worried about the walls, glue them to a sheet of 1/8in hardboard, then you can use more traditional mounting hardware to mount the board on the wall.
Looks great, would be good to understand how you know what needs to be placed where. Did you follow any kind of process to figure out what areas needed dampening?
I know that treated rooms sound better, but listening to treated rooms on UA-cam in a bare room (new room set up with only a desk, monitor and speakers) really hurts my brain. The best way to describe it is an echoing aura of (albeit clear) muffled sound. I have to treat my room ASAP. In my opinion room treatment is first and foremost the most important thing to achieve great sound.
Jay, why did you opt for foam rather than more dense material like fiberglass panels? Foam has very limited effectiveness and frequency range response.
Thanks for sharing. The rooms look great. I have the Magnepan LRS, does the same principle apply for the diffuser? I ask because the sound projects on to the wall. Also if the LRS are toed in, should I take that in to account for the 1st reflection point?
I really loved your video. I, am from Montréal and will be looking at those acoustic panels. I was going with Vicoustic but those are way cheaper. Don't know if there's a sound diference between those and Vicoustic?
Great job 👍 looks good 👌. I were looking at Audioholics and they have a series of educational treatment videos with a guy that do this for a living and has done thousands of rooms. And have plowed trough all research papers and winning prices on his rooms that he has treated. According to him he says that the wall behind the speakers they prefer to use diffusers (skater) that only spread in the horizontal plane (2D). And not (3D) that diffuses sound in horizontal and vertical. I see that you have opt in for 3D defusers behind your speakers. Why? I get that 3D has the benefits to they look cooler than 2D especially when that is the wall that we look the most at. But is there any acoustically benefits/reason to use 3D diffusion in your opinion in that location?
We want to see your girlfriend ;) anyway, great job! There's a lot of information about acoustic treatment on internet, that sometimes gets you confused, I really appreciated to se a real scenario of a typical home. As always, much thanks jay.
Just order them. I live in Sweden and ordered some a few weeks ago. They manufacture these panels in Ukraine, and ship from Ukraine, so no overseas shipping cost for us in Europe. But be prepared to pay VAT and customs fees.
Those panels are just regular foam panels covered in cheap MDF or plastic, do they work well ? I was looking at the bass traps to purchase but was worried, but as I know very well foam panels do not work well at all,
I'm confused. Considering how much treatment you have done to these rooms, why does the video sound like you are in a small cave? I'm sorry if I sound negative
Everything looks very thin... Except bass trap ofcourse but anyway, i think those panels should be much thicker to have more even frequency response, because you just remove higher frequency reflections right now.
Foam based bass traps don't work. Also foam in general is not very good for acoustic panels because the only works for high frequencies. My recommendations don't buy this.
Where are the ceiling treatments? When you have standard 8.5 foot flat ceilings, the room modes are by far the most audible thing that negatively impacts the sound. Putting stuff all over your walls doesn't help with that at all. I have serious doubts about his guys ability to analyze sound...
acoustic panels I use: ua-acoustics.com/
acoustic curtain: amzn.to/31d1zAM
BDI Cabinet I use: bit.ly/2OJRwQQ

The focus is soft in this episode. Otherwise, another great episode.
wow I'm amazed by those Tannoy-like speakers!!! Please do a video about them!!

I just installed some panels from UA this past weekend. I noticed a improvement in vocal center focus, imaging improvement and just more clarity.
crystal clear focus on that microphone
Great looking acoustic treatment. Couldn't help but notice all the echo in the video audio, though. ??
having a gap/air hole actually helps...nice Oberon 3's BDW...I myself am using the Oberon 7

3M strips work wonders for me.
A simple French Cleat works best
quite a nice set up jay
Hi Jay,
I’m more interested in the speakers behind you can you please tell what you think about the speakers.
Looks great, would be good to understand how you know what needs to be placed where. Did you follow any kind of process to figure out what areas needed dampening?
Acoustic panels from my country. Nice! 🙂
Subtitles: "So this room is actually pretty damned."
I know that treated rooms sound better, but listening to treated rooms on UA-cam in a bare room (new room set up with only a desk, monitor and speakers) really hurts my brain. It would be nice if you could review the Denafrips Hestia/Hyperion combination that you use with your KEF LS50 meta. :)
lot of nice alternatives there; was surprised that the curtains in the TV room are considered acoustical given that they allow so much light
I'm interested with acoustic treatment. Maybe you can give us a basic guideline on what to consider?
When will you review Axiom speakers? Im trying to decided between Axiom, Totem and Paradigm for home theater. Thanks!
Thank for the video. I was just looking for acoustic curtins for my living room.
Is there a reason to prefer RYB curtains to other/cheaper options?
Jay, why did you opt for foam rather than more dense material like fiberglass panels? Foam has very limited effectiveness and frequency range response.
Are you thinking of adding ceiling acoustical treatment at any time?
Thanks for sharing. The rooms look great.

IMO basstraps don´t work as well as helmholtz traps which needs to be tunned for the problematic frequency otherwise is just a partial solution. Thx
Interesting options
Can you tell us how many diffusion panels in that set up? 12? 15? Thanks! Looks great!
Like the Tshirt!
Spotted some new totem's 😏
Jay........I'm looking for white cloth to build some larger room treatments with the rock wool insulation...any recommendations for fabric?
Great video!
I use weather stripping to seal the gap between my acoustic panels & the wall , if that’s of any help
Actually...a gap behind the panel can significantly improve it's effectiveness...
I agree with Roland, there should be a small gap between the panel and the wall, which acts as a dampening factor.
great video
Great job 👍 looks good 👌.

yes bring on Ms Strawberry!
Hey Jay, did I just see some Hungarian Sió fruit juice on your desk? :)
damn they are so inexpensive, i wish I could get affordable panels like those here in germany
Just order them. I live in Sweden and ordered some a few weeks ago. They manufacture these panels in Ukraine, and ship from Ukraine, so no overseas shipping cost for us in Europe. But be prepared to pay VAT and customs fees.

How do you feel about Tannoy speakers?
I haven’t heard you long enough to know.
I'm confused. Considering how much treatment you have done to these rooms, why does the video sound like you are in a small cave? I'm sorry if I sound negative
I was thinking the same?
Mic was terrible and so we had to add some processing to make it work.
Nice
I don’t see the glue you linked to hang the panels
I thought those were GIK panels you got at first....lol
Is it the 3mm or 5mm?
Looks awesome
He mentioned the glue but didn't link to it yet. What should one look for in a glue for this purpose?
If glued, will it damage the foam on the back when pulled off or does it pull the paint? Anyone?
Haha, "this room is pretty damp". Dude, too much information!
The diffusors you have in front , put in them in the back. That's where they work best.
How to treat the room with a big 77" TV between two speakers?
Jay you didn’t link the glue.
my guy just glue the foampannels to a board of osb, and mount the whole thing to the wall
Does anyone have a source for acoustic curtains? Something heavier and taller than the Amazon ones.
Everything looks very thin... Except bass trap ofcourse but anyway, i think those panels should be much thicker to have more even frequency response, because you just remove higher frequency reflections right now.
And I'm not saying that it sounds bad but maybe not very good for referencing speakers..
Those panels look way too inexpensive to be any good. Are they really any good?
Listening to his recorded voice I'd say no.
WHAT ARE THOSE SPEAKERS??
most of thoes so-called "bass traps" do nothing.
Foam based bass traps don't work. Also foam in general is not very good for acoustic panels because the only works for high frequencies.
My recommendations don't buy this.
She plays LoL
what is that chair u have in the room where ur gf was at.
Lol stick to speakers. Your general acoustic treatment knowledge is.... Uhm. Lackluster

The Tannoy-like spkrs? China hi fi????...review!!
what are those speakers?
They might be Coherent Audio, a Canadian company
@@MrBonger88 Dali i guess
Can’t be bothered to move or stop typing for 3 minutes while you shoot your video.
