The conversation where mum mention to win the lottery was never intended as a joke or lie (as other reactors think). They both speak of their dreams, where Cole's dream is to be included and feel normal and mum's dream is of a lighter economic burden and time for other things. It’s a good bonding exersice and it's very mindfull of her character to do so. Imagine you have a shy, closed down child and being able to connect with him with this technique! Also, Malcolm needed to do two things. Only when he did one of them, was he able to see the world as it was.
It took me a few rewatch to realize that Cole's grandmother was never able to pass over until Cole passed on the message to his mom. But Cole wasn't ready to confide in his mom. He also knew that by telling Malcolm how to speak to his wife, he would give him the power to pass to the other side.
Wow. I never realized she's Australian. It often amazes me how many Australian and British actors can learn flawless American accents to the point I might never have guessed they were not American. Though in this movie, she sounds more like a New Yorker than a Philadelphian, but that's nit-picking. Her character could have moved from New York to Philly.
So glad I found your channel. Please keep reacting to more movies. The over-the-top-funny movie you're asking for is Toni Collette's brilliant, debut film, Muriel's Wedding (1994)!
The man in the bathroom who shot Malcolm was Donnie Wahlberg from New Kids on the Block. Losing 30 pounds for this role - and was almost unrecognizable to his fans in the role. I was most of the way through before realizing it was him. But ALL of the actors were incredible in each role. If you want a pure, flat out, LYAO comedy - comedy would LOVE to see your reaction to License to Drive. Hilarious movie with a killer 80's soundtrack. Tom Hanks does a lot of physical comedy in The Money Pitt - and Michael J Fox is awesome in The Secret of My Success. Any one of these is worth a watch and reaction. Cheers from Ontario, Canada! :)

Hi there, buddy! I just caught your channel for the first time today (when you watched 'The Sixth Sense') and immediately subscribed. You mentioned needing to see something funny now. Okay, you want to see something stomach hurting, on your ass hysterical? Watch 'The Whole Nine Yards', also starring Bruce Willis, if you haven't already seen it on your own. I initially had no interest in watching the movie, until a friend with a great sense of humor suggested it. That was years ago, but it still cracks me up whenever I watch it. Take care of you! One of my favorite movies featuring Toni Collette is 'About A Boy' - also starring Hugh Grant and a young Nicholas Hoult. It's based on a novel by Nick Hornby, who also wrote the books 'High Fidelity' and 'Fever Pitch'.
As others have already mentioned, Donnie Wahlberg’s performance at the beginning is so highly underrated. He disappeared into that small role. 5 minutes on screen, and he’s absolutely terrifying and captivating. And this movie was incredible in the theater. When the end came, a wave of gasps went through the crowd. Still one of the best twists in cinema history. When you figure it out, all the pieces come together. New sub. Awesome reaction.
Thank you for hanging out and being part of the community now 😋😋 he was so good for such a small part. I was uncomfortable when he was on screen. Acting runs on the family I guess 🤓
Signs and The Sixth Sense are the best ones. Toni Collette was in Knives Out. Hereditary was in a word..."Disturbing ". I saw Toni's initially decades ago in Muriels Wedding. It was ok. I'm very fond of Signs and Sixth Sense
The fact that no one talks about how Anna was basically haunted for more than a year after watching this movie is weird to me. Think about it she must have thought she was going crazy! First she watched the love of her life die and Vincent shooting himself, than she hears strange noices from the basment at odd hours and when she finally meets someone who seems to like her a stone crashes the glass on her store...
Try Uncle Buck, or Planes,Trains and Automobiles. Both are very funny but heartwarming. I thought you might have figured it out with the rock throw at the door. Nice reaction!! I'll be looking for your next reaction.
@@Dr_KAP Accents always fascinate me. I remember watching Hacksaw Ridge, an American war film and later learning that most of the cast was Australian (and Andrew Garfield who is British). The car scene where Haley Joel Osment and his mom discuss his secret is hands down the rawest scene ever recorded...rumor has it there was no rehearsal and the actors only knew their lines therefor they were intently listening to the other's lines during filming..thus an intensity was established and magic was captured... “ALONG CAME POLLY” with Jenifer Aniston & Ben Stiller “MEET THE PARENTS” Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, “THE PROPOSAL” Ryan Reynolds & Sandra Bullock “SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVE” w Diane Keaton & Jack Nicholson 😂😅😅 all really funny!! 😅
I kinda went through this with my child. She could hear things, voices, and I can't begin to describe how hard it is as a parent to know something is wrong in your child's world and you can't fix it. It's torture.
In Her Shoes is my favorite of Toni Collette, its more a chick flick but its so good! I showed my little brother this movie last year for the 1st time he was blown away by the twist ending. Unbreakable and Split are really good M Night films i highly recommend
This movie is so good. Watching it the second time is cool with the new perspective. If you're looking for movies to watch, the Back to the Future trilogy is the best one I've ever seen, and Better Off Dead is funny in an absurd and dark way.
I literally made my teenage kids watch this movie tonight. They loved it.And here I am watching with you again:)Truly enjoy your reactions.Greetings from Slovakia🇸🇰
It’s funny, you’re the second reactor I’ve watched that thought the spoiler was knowing the ‘I see dead people’ line. It was in the original trailer, it was never the twist.
The sick little girl couldn't leave until she finished what she needed to do which was saving her little sister's life! Bruce Willis was trapped by what he needed to do until he met a boy who could see ghosts. Coolest movie ever!
Most recently, Knives Out with, well, just about everyone, first came reknown in Muriel's Wedding, About a Boy with Hugh Grant/Nicholas Hoult, Little Miss Sunshine with Steve Carrell/Abigail Breslin, In Her Shoes with Cameran Diaz, etc, etc, etc...
Thank you for the recommendations, I love it. Knives out has been up there on the list of suggestions a lot lately annnnnd….Little Miss Sunshine could be coming as soon as tonight 🫣
If you want to watch another film with Toni Collette AND see something lighter, consider Knives Out, a murder mystery/comedy that's both incredibly fun and funny. You won't be sorry!
Comedy recommendation: "JoJo Rabbit", "Blazing Saddles", "Robin Hood Men In Tights". Ghost experiences: Way too many where I live now (much less from my other houses). I'll only mention two... My husband and daughter tried to sage the house because the activity had ramped up. I was gone for two days because I'm allergic to the smoke and I was sleeping in the living room at that time. The night I got home, a facecloth came flying out of the dark empty hallway at me. I verified no one was in the hallway and sat down on the sectional. Heard a child's laughter from behind me and no one was there. The Paranormal movies were banned from being watched in our house. Everytime we watch one, something happens in the house that matches the type of activity in the movie. 1st movie-very loud bang right outside our bedroom door, 2nd movie-trashcan outside fell over for no reason, 3rd movie-creepy whisper happened behind me (and because of the surround system I thought it was in the movie. When I mentioned how creepy it was, my husband and daughter said there wasn't a whisper. I had them rewind the movie and sure enough there was no voice in that spot), the one with the malfunctioning electronics- our microwave went on the fritz in a vey wierd way (when you push start the light comes on, and the rotating tray turns but the sound doesn't happen and neither did the cooking. Super strange.)
Another good movie from M Night is "Signs." He confuses me as a director because he's capable of making genuinely great films, but also some pretty terrible ones. I guess it's because he does take risks with his films and not every risk pays off, so his filmography is inconsistent in quality. This one's a banger, though, and no child star has matched this performance since. Haley Joel Osment was MAGIC in this, and was totally robbed of an Oscar.
If you're open to vintage films, the 1930's romantic comedy "My Man Godfrey" is genuinely funny. It stars William Powell and Carol Lombard set in NYC years after the stock market crash.
Something I have always wondered about is the dog, is the dog dead too ? You never see anyone reacting to the dog except for Cole when it comes running past him just before the gun shot boy walks out.
No. 1: We see the dog (in the laundry basket) before we start seeing the ghosts. 2: After the dog runs from the 70's teen boy, Cole's mom is talking to the dog, who's hiding in the corner, as Cole comes into her room (25:38 in this reaction, "Sebastian, come on").
It's very quick and subtle, but Cole's mom also interacts with the dog at the beginning of the "laundry basket" scene, when she is getting her blouse out of the dryer (before Cole enters the kitchen). This isn't shown in the reaction video.
“Uncle Buck” mentioned above is great, I also love “Son in law” for a Thanksgiving movie, “my best friend’s girlfriend” is a rather unhinged hilarious chick flick most guys love… dumb and dumber/liar liar are classics! I find the rest of Jim Carey too much. “Men in Black” is semi funny, I’ll try to think about more. Some of the movies suggested here are absolutely not funny. People suggest them because watching reactors cry is also appealing 😂
It's hard when you go into this film already knowing there's some kind of twist in it. I think people consciously or even subconsciously start looking for it along the way and it makes the ending less impactful, or at least easier to guess. In 1999 when this came out social media wasn't a thing yet and smart phones weren't either. So the surprise ending was able to remain a surprise for most people, save for the extra observant few who managed to figure it out before the end, without help. Nowadays, a film like this would get ruined online 5 minutes after the first audience left the theater. Even the media will spoil an ending by writing about it on opening weekend before most have even got a chance to see it yet. I'm like you, I prefer to go in blind most of the time - when I can, anyway. So even though you guessed before the big reveal, I do appreciate you admitting that you weren't totally sure regardless. A lot of reactors would have just claimed they knew and gloated about it... if they didn't straight up lie about not knowing the twist ahead of time at all, which I've actually seen a few do (and it's obvious they knew and are just pretending they didn't). I've watched a couple reactions from you now and enjoyed them both.... gonna go subscribe now. :)
You are 100% correct. Spoilers are spoiled without the viewers approval lol. I gave up on movie trailers for the most part because of this. A lot of the time they reveal wayyy to much. Thank you for hanging out and watching!
Have you watched Ghost (1990) starring Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg. That’s also heartfelt as The Sixth Sense, but it has comedy you will appreciate.

Muriel's wedding staring Toni Collette is a must watch and a total blast for ABBA fans!
Cosi was great too
My all time favourite movie!
I was thinking that one too!! A bit of drama but a lot of laughs.

That shirt is amazing 🤩
“GUESS WHO” Bernie Mac & Ashton Kutcher
Unbreakable is M. Night Shyamalan's best movie, imo. I also like his movie Lady in the Water, which was widely panned and hated. 🤷🏽♀
Velvet Buzzsaw … good movie❣️
40:02 can’t believe you got it!! 😂😅❤
You might recognize the little girl ghost when she. Grew up wad main character in series called OC in 2000s
One more comedy suggestion: GOOD BOYS (2019).
Awesome. I was looking for something like this 🤣 you got it my friend.
Go with a classic, "Young Frankenstein" or "Blazing Saddles"
Have you watched Ghost (1990) starring Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg. That’s also heartfelt as The Sixth Sense, but it has comedy you will appreciate.
"I saw what was in your bureau drawer. A nudie magazine."
If you are still looking for 'over the top comedies', the last two I've watched are : Good Boys and The Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen
yes! Goodboys has been getting a lot of suggestions lately!
What mother would wear red at her child's funeral?
How did I NOT notice that. I think I was too floored but what she was doing 🫣
