Everyone is talking about how great their music is or how good their style is, but no one is talking about the lyrics. The lyrics are reletable with a great meaning behind and a great message to leave to the listeners. They're helpful and beautiful.

They might be comments about how great lyrics are in some subtitled video but in the original ones most people don't speak Italian so we don't really know what he's saying we're just vibing by now
The thing is you have to know the language to understand them. Translations don't go with details, like wordplays etc. A lot of meaning goes away with it. It's the case with every written art piece.

@silvieeetje I’ve been learning for 6 years - I started with basic vocab on duolingo and Memrise and then found lists of all the grammar stuff online and learned it through websites and UA-cam - I also used UA-cam and music for listening practice and also did constant mental translations even when I wasn’t learning (I still do now)

I guess that's what listeners have been really missing for years: passion, sincerity, primal youth energy, inner limitlessness, and some vulnerability. That's why among many other musicians on Eurovision they were unique and so notable. I'm 44 and I don't speak Italian but I'm becoming a f**king fan of these guys who literally could have been my kids (consider the age gap, he-he). Young U2 had this kind of drive. I don't mean the music style, but I remember my emotions after the first listening of the "War" album, - pure energy, awakening spirit. Da francese, ho sentito molte voci su Damiano e sulla droga durante l'Eurovision... Onestamente, ringrazio i media francesi e tutte queste persone (compresi i miei genitori, che odiano questa band che amo) per avermi fatto scoprire una delle mie nuove band preferite. Non guardo mai l'Eurovision e raramente sento parlare dei vincitori, quindi senza queste polemiche, queste voci, probabilmente non avrei mai scoperto Måneskin. Sono felice di vedere un gruppo della mia generazione riportare indietro tutto ciò che amavo nel rock. Era tempo che la "nuova generazione" arrivasse finalmente in questo stile musicale! Mi piace anche il fatto che continuino a cantare in italiano e non solo in inglese, nonostante questa popolarità internazionale. Le loro parole sono molto belle credo, ed è questo che mi ha motivato a imparare finalmente l'italiano, perché ero deluso di non capire e di perdere belle parole in italiano!

@@K_KALAH разница как раз в том, сколько заинтересовавшихся останется: вспомните легендарную битломанию, где на концертах собирались целые армии, фанатов "Квин", остающихся верными группе по сей день и прочие подобные примеры вроде поклонников Майкла Джексона, Элвиса Пресли и etc.
А теперь осознайте, сколько групп и исполнителей вирусились, становились хайповыми, а позже пропадали в никуда из-за нулевого актива. Вот это я имею в виду.
У них замечательные текста, не тривиальные, со смыслом. Приятное звучание музыки в целом. Думаю со временем ребята будут становиться только лучше, оттачивая своё мастерство.
Лично меня больше всего зацепила именно эта песня, за смысл, за подачу. Если вы не знаете итальянского, обязательно посмотрите перевод! Фронтмэн группы - мой ровестник(22) и эта песня чувствуется и воспринимается как послание тем, кому сейчас около 20ти. Столько целей, мечт, ожиданий от жизни, амбиций и одновременно столько сомнений и страхов.
Эта песня даёт какое-то спокойствие, уверенность, она подталкивает двигаться дальше по направлению к своим целям, мечтам и продолжать стремиться к звёздам
Так что по крайней мере для меня они уже легенды! А песню - в любимые!

They don't write lyrics they write poetry... There are not too many artists that can express their emotions and inner feelings through such beautiful melodies filled with honesty. Damiano writes the lyrics for their songs. He's really talented as a singer as if singing for him was a sort of divine gift. Ok there must be training behind, but he's only 22 now. And he has always sung with such a stunning competence and skill. They're amazing. Incredibile musicians for their age ❤️

Strangely the guitar intro reminds me of another famous soft rock song (not the same, just some similar notes) but I can't remember which one. Guess I'll just keep hitting repeat on this instead. the way i don't even know italian but this video as well as the lyrics just perfectly convey that feeling of growing up, looking at your past, having responsibility thrust on you, seeing how far you still have to go, wanting to change the world, being scared and insecure, wanting to give up and run away, feeling so small...

I am 20 years old. This year was a huge challenge for me. I had a tough time. I couldn't pass the college exams even though I was trying to do as much as possible. I was barely sleeping and eating, I wasn't able to find enough time for my family and friends and hobbies. I became emotionally really unstable. I cried every morning before I even got out of bed. I was frustrated, because the effort I put into it didn't have any result. I was struggling with the situation and with the wounds from the past. And after that I stopped caring. Burnout syndrome. I had no feelings. I had genuinely desperate thoughts. I am glad I have found some strength to do what was necessary for my health - I left college. I decided to travel a bit, I spent one and a half month in Italy and I met people from all over the world. I am back home now. I signed up for a really well paid job, but I wrote them that in the end I won't continue with the admission process. It wouldn't be the job I would love to. I don't want to leave only money to this world. I have submitted applications to other colleges. I am looking for a part time job. I am scared of not finding a school or a job I would really love. I am so scared of making more mistakes. I don't even want to try anymore. I am afraid of another failure and disappointment. I am afraid to fight again. But I am trying to recover and to get better. I am trying to choose what is truly important. I am trying to stand for myself. I am trying not to prove anything to anybody. I am trying not to compare myself to others. But I'm only 20.

A few days ago I decided to listen to the Eurovision's songs. I don't usually watch it but I heard a lot of people saying this year was really good and I thought, why not give it a try?
I think I fell in love with this band in less than a day... without realising it I was listening to all of their songs and I'm not finished !
