Hey, how is it as a daily driver? I don't really know what avs does, but does it worsen the ride quality any? How's driving in it for an hour? I might be getting a touring soon 🙂
Not sure what you mean by "avs", but if you mean the adaptive dampers, they work really well. I mostly keep them on normal and the ride is smooth and supple. When engaged in sport or sport +, the ride firms up and steering response is better. It's a great daily driver, albeit a bit large for just one person (I have kids with car seats in the back). Overall, very happy with purchase of this Touring Avalon after 45k miles. Still drives like a dream. @@alexfarmwald3946
There is remote start. You don't need the app. Hit lock button once, hit it again within 1 second and press it and hold it for like 3 seconds. The car lights will flash a couple times. Works on my 2019 Limited Hybrid.
Underrated cars. Very reliable and the ride comfort is one of the best. As a mechanic myself I’ve driven Mercedes S classes, and even a Bentley at one point. And the Avalon’s ride comfort, although not on the same level, is close enough. For a car a fraction of the price.
@InternacionalBoxing I know it's built on the same platform, but it has better insulation and suspension, and it's only 4K more. You don't pay attention.

I bought my 2008 Avalon Limited with 41,000 miles in 2013 in Oklahoma City while in the military. Hats off to Toyota for this Avalon. Most carmakers are eliminating car models and going to SUV'S for their entire production. The SUV'S have their following but if you're driving over a long road trip the car is the most comfortable option. I have never purchased a foreign car but that will probably change for my next car. The styling of this Avalon is great and the interior is beautiful, love the color on the model you tested.
if you think a sedan is going to be more comfortable than an SUV over a long drive then you probably haven't been on many road trips or haven't driven many cars....
Being a Toyota enthusiast this is my take.. I agree on the grille it’s too large (maybe look better in person) but the grill looks the best on darker color cars like the red XSE. Now once you get past the grill the rest of the car is beautiful. That red model is really damn good looking. That interior is best in class. Love the V6 engine, love the LED headlights and taillights with the moving signals... looks like a winning product.
I’ve seen quite a few new Avalons on the road and they actually look very elegant and sleek in person. They stand out than most cars that all look the same now days. The grill doesn’t look bad and makes it more aggressive.

Karun Chendrimada let me be more clear, based on Toyotas lack of effort during the last 20 years this is a big step up. Toyota has used the same platform for almost 20 years until now so in my eyes it's a welcomed improvement over the old Avalon. I am in no way shape or form a Toyota fanboy. If I was in the market I would buy an accord any day over this or a Camry. Frankly I'd buy any Honda product over a Toyota. The reason Toyota is/was so reliable is becuase it's easy to make a 20 year old platform bulletproof which is why the new Camry on the TNGA platform is on is 4th or 5th recall already. Yes, agree! The car would look much nicer, if the 2 side parts would be closed and only the middle part as a grill. I like Toyota as a brand, but their design is really ugly in most of their cars.
I love the 2019 Avalon re-design. But, I'm disappointed that they didn't add the panoramic sun-roof like they did on the Camry and Rav4 upper trim levels. That would've been an extra nice touch. Still might go for it in the future.

Great video as usual - I am always impressed by how you are able to recite a ton fo facts and specifications without having to read them off of a card. The 2019 Avalon has a nice looking interior but Toyota nickles and dimes one to death at each stage of the upgraded trim. Bottom line - if you can afford an Avalon then you can afford a Lexus and get a better return for your $$$.
Bob Kerbs I get that, but my point is when I want a Lexus, I go for a Lexus, not a Toyota that looks like a Lexus. Infiniti is the luxury division of Nissan just like Lexus is for Toyota, but when you see a Nissan, it's a Nissan, not to be mistaken for an Infiniti. This Toyota can completely be mistaken for a Lexus. That's what I can't swallow. The Toyota Prius and the Lexus CT 200h share the same hybrid engine and same gear box, but the body is totally different, and that's perfectly fine by me. But this Toyota isn't. They should have go for a different body style.
You actually can remote start the Avalon from the key fob. All you do is press the lock button twice quickly and hold it down. The lights will flash and the car will start! Our 2021 Highlander has it!
My perfect sedan would be: the side and front profile of the 2018 accord, the rear exterior of the 2019 Avalon, and a V6 with a regular 10 speed transmission.
I would have to fill in all those nonfunctional elements of the grill to make them smooth and body colored. Would make for smoother airflow too I think.
Why is Toyota so obsessed with huge grills? If the government didn’t mandate for cars to have headlights, the entire front would be a grill and they’d have their headlights on the dashboard. Lol

Yea lol fwd = automatically not on the list of cars to look at. These look very nice though. The fronts a little out there but in person it doesn't look bad
They should have AWD or even RWD on all their models. Especially on the new Camry. I would definitely buy the Camry if it was AWD.
Great Job Sofyan! You do so many reviews in Cali you should move there 👍
My neighbor just picked one up; it's an amazing vehicle.
Would have been a great looking car if it wasnt for that huge grill
This car should be named the Toyota Grill
Im glad Toyota has not went to push button gear shift like Acura.
My Granddad gave me his 2010 Avalon before he died and I couldn't be more proud to drive my grandpa's car.
Great video as usual - I am always impressed by how you are able to recite a ton fo facts and specifications without having to read them off of a card. The 2019 Avalon has a nice looking interior but Toyota nickles and dimes one to death at each stage of the upgraded trim. Bottom line - if you can afford an Avalon then you can afford a Lexus and get a better return for your $$$.
am i the only person that loves the front grille?
yes
No
No
that front, it's very inspired by the lexus is300, especially that grill. the rear too... My opinion.
7ETRNL Well, Lexus is related so....... it kinda figures.
Agreed. There's tons of Lexus design language here. If the grill was smaller it would look a lot like a GS F
Damn what that mouth do!?
It's a sophisticated insect collector.
CINO gargle bug nut
CINO Mouf*
wtf hahaha
CINO : it will make you holler for a dollar
You actually can remote start the Avalon from the key fob. All you do is press the lock button twice quickly and hold it down. The lights will flash and the car will start! Our 2021 Highlander has it!
Bought one...would do it again..great car
Where is the place for the license plate on the front?
On your dash lmao
Either you zip tie the plate to the grill or you get a retractable license plate
as long as you have one in the back i think that's legal.
@@briandunivent a lot of states (including my state) require front license plates to be put in the front.
I bought one and I love it.
You must be a soccer ⚽️ mom
@@lijie6431 😂😂😂😂😂 u killed me
Good for you!
I wished I could afford it.
My perfect sedan would be: the side and front profile of the 2018 accord, the rear exterior of the 2019 Avalon, and a V6 with a regular 10 speed transmission.
Good review as always. I just wish there was a estate/wagon version, and It was a available in Europe. Keep Up the great work
I would have to fill in all those nonfunctional elements of the grill to make them smooth and body colored. Would make for smoother airflow too I think.
Basically keep the Toyota badge on a Lexus body.
Because toyata owns lexus be practical
Damm Toyota is stepping up their game! They actually took into account the lights and did something nice with them lol
THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!
Love Toyota's.... been in my family since 1967
Toyota Camry is getting better and better
Keep up the good work Toyota
Why is Toyota so obsessed with huge grills? If the government didn’t mandate for cars to have headlights, the entire front would be a grill and they’d have their headlights on the dashboard. Lol
Toyota and Honda still have NO IDEA what they want to do with their grilles.
I think Toyota got it right on the Camry SE. The LE versions are gross. 🤮🤢
have fun cleaning the bugs off that grill lol
Pressure washer.
Gregory Rose III yeah cuz u should spray pressurized water into your engine bay. 🤦♂️
Emaad Khan you can spray your engine bay if you cover over some components u tard. It won’t damage shit
@@emaadkhan3031 Do you have any idea what components of the engine bay need protection from water? If you know your engine bay layout and cover up some basic things like the alternator, fusebox, air filter, etc. you can spray however much water you want. 🤦♂️
Roger Smith majority of engine bays nowadays are covered in plastic
I’m definitely getting this next school year ❗️❗️❗️
You can start any Toyota with Entune 3.0 by hitting the lock button on the keyfob 3 times and holding on the third click till the car is started.
I like those headlights but that grill man... just why? Who is their designer? If they have one...
some artistic guy who, sadly, lost his sight about 5 years ago. But they still let him design cars out of sympathy.
The grill makes the car look like a whale shark sadly
inster will just like the 3rd gen Tacoma
Omg I love this new Avalon ❤️❤️
This avalon looks amazing
The key does have remote start built in. Press the lock button twice and then once more and hold it down. 👍
