I took a flight to one of the most dangerous countries in Africa to take a flight on the national airline of Burkina Faso: Air Burkina.

Never change Noel!
100%
Yes!!
Emm. He literally went straight from the airport to a high quality hotel.
@@simonperry8569 I mean, in my opinion, it’s better than not going at all; a dudes also gotta be realistic about safety and minimizing risk wherever you can is an understandable, normal thing to do.
@fgfghjkggdfdghjfgfjh THIS Noel is fine but Bald and Bankrupt would go to Africa to get out an talk to people. _He'd also have went to find out and record a bit of _*_actual music from Burkina_*_ and use that under his footage _*_rather than generic "African" drum music_*_ that's probably from Harlem NY_ . Then he'd have a beer with the rebels after walking out to hear from them on foot.
Blimey....all credit to this man. I stopped watching all other travel vloggers ages ago because most just seem to want Presidential type service but Noel invests his time and sometimes risks his health (the overnight Indian bus journey for example) - what an eye-opener journey this was - well done to him.
Have you ever thought about reviewing the hotels that you stay at
Check out Bald and Bankrupt for similar content.
I know what you mean. I've gone right through Noel's back catalogue of videos. Searching for other UA-camrs with a similar style and outlook can be difficult. I'd recommend Josh Cahill, he even meets up with Noel.
He's way ahead of Paul Mucus
Ayo , your from Aberdeen?
Me to bro
Hi Noel, my buddy sadly passed not long ago and he loved your channel. Thank you for bringing back the memories of us chatting about your channel for me to enjoy. Stay safe ❤️
Hi Matty, truly sorry to hear about your friend. Thinking of you ✈️
Air Burkina looked great. Meal service, clean toilet and a nice soft landing - so that makes them better than Ryanair!
If they actually fly
Always weak jealous no-nothings stinking up the joint.
I’ve been interested in Burkina Faso since we had a guy from there act as a French teaching assistant at my high school. He was a fascinating guy with incredible energy and the biggest smile.
One of my three favourite capital cities - Ouagadougou, Antananarivo and Tegucigalpa. Never been to any of them, but always keep them handy for the occasional pub quiz. Great video (as per usual).
what about sri jayawardenepura kotte
Ngerulmud is good to
Love how the music matches the culture of the place you are in.
Ah, Ouagadougou. It was on my bucket list many years ago when the country was called Upper Volta, and was my second-last stop after about two yers in Africa as a 25-6 year old journalist (spent most of my time in Rhodesia turning to Zimbabwe) I was there about a week and only had enough money left to stay at a really slummy hotel except for two nights at the end of my stay, when I wrote a story about the place for a Canadian news agency,. I just wanted to produce a story with a dateline - Ouagadougou. This is truly a bucket-list place for serious travellers.
Oh cool
Why !!!!
It looked a lot less stressful than coming back through Heathrow immigration
Somehow you always manage to get detained...
You went to my country !!! I love it there i feel more safe in Burkina than i do in USA. I can’t wait to go back home and visit my family. You made me smile thank you so much for visiting. We welcome you again.
munchausen by proxy
I would love to go to burkina, I have heard the people are amazing and I love the flag!
Another great amusing video from Noel. Paperwork, Visa, who need them! This is Africa! When I lived in Nigeria I had all the necessary "stuff". No one at Immigration ever checked it entering or leaving the country. My "fixer" had money poking out of my Passport and he walked me to the front of the line, held up the Passport. The banknotes were collected without us ever stopping and with that we had cleared Customs and Immigration.
I like how honest you are and not overdramatizing everything
Nothing better than to watch another one of Noel Phillips’ awesome videos on a Sunday night here in Australia 😊
Same here!
Same here my usual Sunday night routine
Same, Sunday night routine from Adelaide!
Also good to watch on Sunday morning here in The United States
Same , from a loyal follower from Perth !
Hey Noel! As always a fantastic video. I watched Cahill’s most recent vid and I thought he said he was joining “Nile” for an African adventure but now I’m thinking he said Noel.
If that’s the next move, I’m excited to see what’s in store.
I do have 1 question (especially since in this vid you traveled to a “dangerous” place) - Have you ever been genuinely afraid for your safety while traveling to some of the locations you’ve been to?
Make that 2 questions - If yes, where was that?
Safe travels.
What a lovely hotel room in wagadoodoo. The people seem very friendly. Above all the weather is perfect. Cheers 😊
I really like your videos, especially those ones with the less known more exotic airlines like this one 👍
Hats off Noel for going to a place most of us at home would just give a wide berth , why we all love your channel 👍
Been binge watching your videos over the last few months, and today I've finally caught up. I do love your channel
Fantastic video as always Noel! Hope you enjoyed your mini bar beer. Thanks for your continuing travels through that beautiful continent.
What an interesting place to visit. I always love flying on the E-175, it's such a speedy comfortable plane, hard to beat the single seat in business class when flying solo.
Well done Noel! You can tell you're slightly pleased that all went smoothly with your foray into Waga do do do! Keep safe.
Thanks, will do!
@@noelphilips Are you still scared ?
Loving the Africa trip Noel, keep safe mate, you do go that extra mile taking us to places we will likely never see, brilliant mate
that was quite a pleasant journey, wasn't it? loved it!; I personally find the African francophone people the friendliest; what a good choice of country Noel 👍👍
I’m so glad you go to places other travel bloggers don’t… it’s so interesting!! Loved coming with you on this journey!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Burkina actually looked pretty straight forward and nothing to worry about at all. Quite lovely.
Really glad you can make a trip and freight review of airlines and a city, that are unfamiliar in developed countries, at least we can see how do these cities and airline is like, thanks Noel. Watching at night in Hong Kong :)
Great video Noel can’t wait to see the next places you visit in Africa
It’s amazing that Noel’s job takes him to all these countries. Good morning from New York
It is always wonderful to follow you in all those African countries airports . I notice that you have basic knowledge of French which is useful in many Afracan country.
I love how excited he gets going into new places he's not been before ☺️
Very interesting - thanks for taking us along for a trip to places most of us will never visit
a very genuine and honest vlog by our favorite mr. noel
Two hour flight and a meal service, you won’t get that from Finnair!
I got a meal when I flew with NORRA on their Embraer in Biz Class. My flight was like 3 hours.
I am impressed they have a stocked minibar! Looks like a nice place to visit really. Nice flight as well.
This might be the most excited I've ever seen Noel after arriving someplace - he looks like a giddy schoolboy once he's in Ouaga. So awesome.
Excellent video Noel, really enjoyed it and a loo review as well !!
A sunny sunday and a spectacular new video from Noel. What a weekend🙂.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So happy you arrived safely. ✈✈ 🙏🙏
I too have had a weird interest in Burkina Faso! Glad you got to go there!
Great video Noel. You absolutely amaze me the places you go.
Take care out there.
Thanks, will do!
So many other travel channels would never dare of going on the crazy journeys you go on and that's why I love this because you don't hesitate to show us the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. Seeing the smaller/less-travelled parts of the world has always been so fascinating to me :)
Loved this Noel thanks for a great video again
So glad!
Love your content Noel, I couldn't do what you do, as in travel alone to all those weird and wonderful Countries. Looking forward to your next episode.
Thanks so much!
So glad u arrived safely & that u felt safe once u got to ur hotel room. I have 2 say, I'm glad u only stayed the night. God bless & a hello 2 Ms.Rachel & ur lovely kids!

I love all your little transitions like the loo review and the ad read really adds a bit of character
Looking forward to watching this Noel! Love your videos
Glad to hear it!
Awesome stuff Noel, looks like a great experience in Bakino.
I’ve always wondered why South Africa have a lot of London east names I wish Noel would do a colab with Josh for air Greenland new airbus A330 Neo delivery flight by far the best YT AV geeks could watch all day long
Greetings from Australia Noel...Been watching a few of your uploads lately.. Bloody love'em.
Noel - as a 19 year old recently coming out of a long depression seeing your videos, the environments and overall your brilliant presence has helped out an unbelievable amount. I hope to one day meet you, and would LOVE to start my own travel vlogs but realise how hard it actually is! All the best buddy, keep them coming. Ill be subscribing to your PPL vlogs too as a wanna-be 737-8 Pilot! Cheers! 🌴
Owen
Hope you’re doing well a year later. Agreed on the power of his videos. Believe in the beauty of your dreams❤
When I saw the title I thought wow he must be going to Chad or Somalia............ I lived in Burkina and other West African countries for most of my life. Yes there are real problems due to the general unrest across the Sahel and some awful events but which have been mainly in the north although yes there were some nasty attacks in Ouaga a few years ago. However Burkina remains one of the most friendly and wonderful places to visit in Africa and I am glad that after your continual "nervousness" during the video you gave such a good review to "the Land of Incorruptible People" and to Air Burkina which I have flown regularly on since the 1980s and never had any problems (unlike most other airlines in the region). Sad that you are not staying long enough to get a real flavour of this wonderful city.
Very impressed with the aircraft, very clean and not a bad meal for a short flight. The hotel looks nice too. Enjoy.xx
Thanks so much! 😊
Only saw half of this video on Facebook (technical issues) so searched for Noel on UA-cam. So glad everything was ok with Burkina Faso. Great channel, subscribed 😁❤
I really enjoyed the Agadoo joke, laughed out loud. And great to hear a fellow ‘cob’ speaker!!
Hey noel your videos have inspired me to get out and travel more. Thank you so much for blogging. Keep up the great work
Thank you Nick! Good luck with your travels!
Great vid, brought back memories of working in Burkina
The hotel room and the aeroplane seemed clean and the seats looked really comfortable.
I never miss any of your videos because you are brave and you always take the road less travelled :) Good Job Noel :)
Thank you so much 😀
Noel as always an interesting vlog
Interesting choice of destination 😁
The aircraft seems clean and new which is good
Food looked pretty good to
Thanks! 😃
I come from Burkina Faso and we face many struggles but I love it here
You're a very brave man. Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff Noel. I live in Gambia and I’m so glad to see you visit West Africa. For sure sharing this on twitter. Do you have a twitter account?
I loved your enthusiasm once you arrived to your hotel.
Hi Noel. On your next trip to Africa, please consider flying to Zambia. There is a pretty cool airline called Proflight Zambia. They fly mostly domestic but they also flya to Johannesburg South Africa and have just launched a new service to Cape Town. They fly a fleet of Jetstream 41, CRJ 100/200 and a Boeing 737-500. Zambia also has very cool places you can visit like Livingstone where you can see the Victoria falls. The people are also very friendly and you will definitely feel the love.
Great video! Enjoy that mini-bar beer...Cheers!
I've always liked the Embraer 175! You made it, keep safe!
Hi Noel,
Thank you for visiting my country Burkina Faso and for your kind words about Air Burkina. You are very kind and funny. I like your style.
my family’s taking me there and im worried, is it bad or no?
@@vestigex i don't know if you already went but im from burkina faso it's safe and you have nothing to worry about you'll have a wonderful time :)
I like this video, it’s good to see you buzzing to be in a country.
Great video Noel!!
Amazing as always Noel!
Thank you! Cheers!
As usual, a fantastic video! I'm really enjoying the Africa trips, I hope there are more to come.
Thanks Dylan! Yes plenty more on the way over the coming weeks!
seemed like a pretty good flight!
Finally, we can see your back! Nice vids bro! Love them!
Glad you like them!
@@noelphilips hopefully you can produce more videos. Some of us do not the luxury to travel around the world. So, your videos are really inspiring! ♥️♥️♥️🇲🇾
I have family in Burkina Faso and because of the safety problems it's been a long time since I haven't seen them. I kind of feel good to see the airport once again and just for that a huge thanks ❤
However if anyone wants to fly Air Burkina, beware cause you might get any checked bags loaded in the next flight...
Wow. I think i never saw you this visibly nervous about traveling into a certain country. Must be a real adventure to go to Burkina Faso.
You are such a fantastic man, Noel, thanks for this lovely video
Glad you enjoyed it!
great stuff - really enjoyed that. Air Burkina looks pretty decent compared to our Euro budget airlines!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video as always, Noel 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you 🙌
Your french is quite good. I quite enjoyed this one Noel.
Glad you enjoyed it
Just seeing a new video to watch makes the whole day better. I’ve been watching your 3 year old videos while waiting haha. Hope your travels are going well.
I’d love to watch you fly air new zealend. And maybe walk the road of Mordor 👀👀
Thanks, glad you like them!
Imagine someone waiting urgently to use the loo and they are just hearing you talk to yourself about how nice the loo is etc... Just great :).
Another good one Noel.
I did my Master thesis in Kosmoro in Burkina Faso. Those people are extremely friendly and always want to help.
You are a braver man than me Noel. I have had an interest in Burkina Faso for a long time but always worried about safety. Thanks for doing it for me!
Im from there, Jihadist are only in the North but Wagner has helped out a lot. Very friendly country, capital is pretty safe too except for the traffic
Interesting as usual Noel, thanks. Hotel looks nice?
Safe Travels, Noel 🙏🙏👍👍👍.. Good luck 👍👍..
Good old Noel going to the places others won’t tread 👌
Should have shown some more of Ouaga….and the people….it’s an interesting place…
Excellent as always. My first flight when I was 16yrs old was on a Tarom Ilyushin il-18 Luton to Bucharest . If you see any out there please put the clip of it in one of your videos
I’m a former US Government travel agent and it’s awesome, through you Noel, to see the places that I’ve only reserved travelers to.
I am happy you liked it and your fears were all about what you heard or read and not your own experience. It's always advised to experience yourself rather than from the eyes and mouths of others.
"You can skip all the traffic on this highway" - absolutely NO cars in view on the way
Question for Noel: What do you say when security/border guards ask what’s the purpose of your stay? Do they accept this is your job, or have they ever got funny about your short stays and flight hopping?
I’m pretty sure he says he “runs a media production company”. I remember he included such a conversation in one of his videos as to why he was travelling during covid restrictions.
The Plane you were on XT-ABZ only came into the Air Burkina fleet in 2019, before that it flew with Royal Jordanian!
very professional way of filming. nice video.
Noel - nice video. Will be cool if you have the opportunity to tour around the city as well. Super curious
Best travel/aviation YT channel.
the animations he made are really creative
Hi Noel, one flight I've not seen you do is one to Ascension Island South Atlantic. I think that would be a good one with background on their part in the 'Conflict' and Intercept site. Just an idea.
Hi Chris, my daughter was on Ascension Island last Sat/Sun she's cabin crew for airlink. There is only one hotel on the island which is not good. Covid restrictions are still in place maybe being lifted sometime in Aug, one needs a special permit from st helena gov to travel to Ascension either contractor or military
