As a Cabin Crew myself I can't get over the fact that the crew never came to secure the cabin, having this little kid lie there unsecured at 18:45 is a major safety hazard, risking it's life. This airline is dangerous and such crew should be grounded!
I know right? I physically just would not be able to get on that plane...I would have to be drunk, so I could sleep through the panic attack that would undoubtedly ensue
What about the parents of the baby? Who would leave their baby unattended for any amount of time when I won't even take one eyeball of mine off of my fur babies for a second???
My experience with Air Peace was my last. Flight was for Abuja to Lagos, it was delayed for 6 hours and no one came to explain what was going on until people started getting really irate.
He is encountering Nigerian "standards". When viewed through the lens of international standards, they fall embarrassingly short. To be fair though Nigeria isn't the only culprit. What is a shame is that Nigerians find this acceptable and are comfortable offering this standard to the world and see nothing wrong with it.
In Nigeria, what I've observed over the years is that there is a strong connection between poor staff remuneration and unprofessionalism. Most of these people will probably perform better even in Nigeria on a different airline. When your people are not treated well, they treat your customers poorly.
I work as a ground handler in the USA, primarily for international flights. When it comes to positive bag match, that regulation only applies for international flights, not domestic. So a bag can fly without it’s owner on a flight from ORD to LAX, but it cannot fly without it’s owner on a flight from JFK to LHR, for example.
The fact is : if ground grew and cabin crew are behaving like that, what are the pilots doing in the flightdeck and how are they behaving? How is the airline taking care of them (and their training) if every other aspect is a disaster and even unsafe !?
@@JoshCahill Well Welcome to Nigeria then. In Nigeria, you have to shout atleast 10 people to get job done. So if you have a low pitched polite voice, you are f*ck*d.
Hahahaha... the Russian Pilots flying in Sudan back in the days were legendary for being off their rails. Like crazy guys... that type of flying they did was definitely not for the faint hearted. Rugged Vodka fueled up Pilots. 🤣🤣🤣 Guys that flew planes that looked like skeletons...or shells. Hahahaha...
I concur with this review. Flew Air-peace few days ago on a return flight from Lagos to benin and back to Lagos. My bag and a couple of passengers bags were left in benin. We landed in Lagos and couldn’t locate our bags and mind you the flight was delayed for almost 4 hours. We finally got our bags which was flown in through another airline 3 hrs after we landed. Left the airport by 11pm that day. Was such a bad experience…
If Air Peace could be this nonchalant and negligent with basic standard procedure, I wonder how much attention they pay to aircraft maintenance/safety schedules. I also wonder if there is a civil aviation regulatory body in Nigeria to address this!
There is, the snag is that they are in bed or let’s say there is a lot of conflict of interest, politics and politicians who get involved and that’s when things go south.
You haven’t lived this was a luxury first class experience. I once had to take an internal flight in the USSR many years ago. The ground experience was unbelievable and took 4 hours to get through. I was seated next to a cage of live chickens, with a goat loose directly behind me. Dam thing had 2 whole seats to itself. Half way through the flight 3 panel’s flew off the engine and we hit turbulence and dropped 8000 ft in a split second. On landing our plane was surrounded by the military guns drawn. To top it off my bag never arrived and was never seen again. I think the goat took it.
Airpeace is the worst… I had an Abuja-Lagos-Jeddah ticket, I left Abuja on Tuesday 30th February, I got to Lagos and they said no flight until Sunday. Stayed in Lagos from Tuesday till Sunday. Got boarded from Lagos Sunday night, 12 am we got to Kano, they announced we will make a stop for 45 minutes. After 3 hours of waiting, we got de-boarded at Kano and the flight was cancelled , waited for an hour before getting us into an hotel. Got an email in the morning for another flight at 6pm. It’s 9:30 now and I’m still in Kano (5th February), tomorrow would make it one week since I boarded airpeace from Abuja. This has been the most frustrating, stressful and worst flight experience in my life.
I actually just flew Air Peace Lagos-Owerri about three weeks ago. Admittedly, the crew on our flight were a lot more professional - even preventing my wife from standing during taxing post-landing. However, the unprofessionalism of the ground staff still existed. That one is a mirror of the general Nigerian society.
My dear don't mind this white guy that's what they do if they don't like you if you can remember airpeace is the only ingenious flight that is challenging order foreign flight just emirates flight Dubai and counseling contact with americans also fastest growing african indigenous flight all this video was comply to bring airpeace down so they can have their way
Obviously... everyone has to take their seat...during landing and take off and taxing....even your Excellency Misus. Atleast the crew of Air Peace knew the very basic of protocols.Thank God for that.
In the 90's in Nigeria where I grew up as a child, the boarding process would be to walk to the plane on the tarmac and then point out our luggage out of a pile laid out near the plane before subsequently entering the aircraft. On the old BAC 111's and the 727's , we would board through the stairwell on the rear of the aircraft.
I grew up in Nigeria in the 80s. I only flew Nigeria Airways one domestically but it was wild. I remember people running up and down the aisle while we were on final approach to landing.
Finally! I’ve long waited for this. Justice to us the victims. I’ve really suffered this in the hand of Airpeace more like “Airdrama”. Thanks for your honest feedback, I concur 🤝
Even though this makes me uncomfortable as a Nigerian, they deserve this review. Air peace will give you headache every time you’re flying with them. Add arik air to the mix and you’ll cry on every trip
It's not just the delay. The unprofessional behavior of the crew, airline, airport crew... also the fleet itself. The planes are unsafe. If the planes are that old, are they being properly maintained? I doubt it very seriously. It's life threatening, these planes could crash with more than 100 passengers on board. That is reckless to put people's lives on the line like that. Pilots have sent photos of serious damage to at least a plane and that could bring a plane down. It's unsafe for people to use this airline. People are not properly trained. It makes one wonder how prepared the pilots are. If they encounter an issue, would they be able to solve it or crash? It's sad because it's an accident waiting to happen.
That DC-3 at 9:20 was actually a turbine conversion, its old piston engines got replaced by PT-6 turbo prop engines to give it a new life. You can tell by how far forward the engines are, the stretched fuselage, and the exhausts on the side of the engines.
Wow, didn't knew that piston engines can be replaced with turbo props. I guess gas turbines are quite bigger compared to IC engines. How do they fit it?
As a frequent international traveler to Nigeria, I found Lufthansa to be the absolute worse!! But, you’ve just showed me that I definitely don’t want to travel domestically with AirPeace. Thank you
@@maximillianafrancine1451 I think Lufthansa is one of the best airlines out there, compare to other airlines, but I'm sorry to hear about your sons passport you should try to contact Lufthansa headquarters by email
Lufthansa has become pretty bad indeed.. Here in Germany it’s already a joke.. that’s how bad they are now.. Expensive, no service, dirty and cramped planes..
Hey Josh! About your luggage and offloading of unidentified bags… (14:05) So called “positive passenger-bag matching” rule was discussed and later implemented after Lockerbie disaster in 1988. It basically means that if there is no passenger on board of the aircraft, his baggage must also be offloaded. It’s a security aspect - there’s more chance terrorists put explosive devices on board (in suitcases etc) when they are not on that flight. But since this “rule” (or more recommendation for airlines) was “implemented” it also changed a bit and got some allowed exceptions… Also, we might obey this rule as much as possible in bigger, Middle Eastern airlines, in US, Europe etc., but i’m not exactly sure how it actually works in Africa. My degree thesis for masters in law was actually on this topic - aviation security vs right for privacy. Also i’m one of Emirates cabin crew and would be my absolute pleasure to serve you on one of our flights one day. Safe skies! :)
I lived in Kano 6 years ago, and traveled frequently between Abuja and Kano (never connected through Lagos though). There was always some nonsense when traveling between the cities, no matter which airline I used. One time I had cancelled flight, and the ticketing agent blamed me for not knowing it was cancelled, as it had been cancelled all week. 🙃😲 There are countless stories, but I've never experienced anything this unprofessional. The people in Nigeria are amazing, smart and direct. They deserve better infrastructure and services.
There is actually some versions of the DC3 flying around - This one is the is a basler BT-67, with the turbine engine. I see them every year here in Greenland, on charter flights with ski equipt landing gear, so they can land on the inland icecap.
I lived in nigeria for 20 years, love the country! Yes they are unprofessional but they are the most amazing people and i would love to go back. Everything comes back to the lack of proper leadership. The cabin crew for example, are definitely undertrained and not monitored. The people in charge are wreckless, only care about what goes into their pockets. The people are just wonderful loving people. I just pray they get good leaders to make the most out of this rich country.
Bring “amazing ppl” means nothing when my life is in danger because you won’t do your job. That’s an excuse I will never be ok with no matter how good of a person you are.
@@mgtvnews6890 Look at you! With your fake profile and 0 subscribers. Trying to discourage people from coming to Nigeria. You should be more worried about Al-shabab.
As a travel agent in the UK working for a shipping/offshore company I have no option but to book this airline for my guys in Nigeria. I always give long connections because of delays. Interesting to see it in operation 🤔 I did shudder at the chaos having previously worked ground staff. But to be fair I've dealt a lot with the local staff, they always seem friendly and professional in emails at least 😄
This is interesting ,I’m a Nigerian ,flight attendant,Kano based crew and also seeing myself flash on your channel is so refreshing . I’m so sorry bout your experience ,I’m more concerned on why they aren’t safety conscious ❤️
My sister, I felt highly embarrassed watching this video, Air peace of all airlines breaking my heart into pieces, where has all the hype disappeared to? I am so scared of validating my licence because of what I hear from a lot of crew members, please keep it up with your lovely job, I have heard a lot about you,my regards to your lovely crew
@@teazerfemi smiles ,don’t be scared of validating your license ,know what you are doing and stand out ,and wow I’m surprised you heard a lot about me ,I feel honored .thank you so much .
@@teazerfemi: Validating your license, what does that mean? Your airline license or what? Well you should consider the fact that aviation industries in Nigeria are facing some issues with scarcity of aviation fuel and Air Peace being the biggest airline in Nigeria has more passengers than it can handle, even they appealed to senate house to permit them to directly import aviation fuel on their own but due to politics and middleman benefits it was not granted. I believe with time everything will be in order.
@@RealityStand You are justifying incompetence and corporate rascality. I have had similar delays on Air Peace flights for so many times even before the so-called recent aviation fuel scarcity. I remember an Air Peace flight from Kano to Lagos in March 2021 which was delayed for nearly seven hours. We eventually landed in Lagos the following day around 5am. And these delays have been the norm rather than the exception. I remember when the National Assembly complained about these delays on an official trip to Lagos some weeks ago and promised to call the airlines to order, Airlines Operators of Nigeria (AON) responded by jacking up the air fares on all routes in the country. they are operating like a drug cartel. AON , in a press conference went ahead to blame everybody and everything for these inexplicable and indefensible delays. They exonerated themselves from any responsibility and behaved as if they were even doing us a favour. Therefore, nothing will improve with this kind of irresponsible attitude of Air Peace and other Nigerian airlines. Except, if the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities would have the courage to call these airlines to order.
Luggage is usually only offloaded on International flights, and if a country chooses to follow the rule for domestic. The US, for example, doesn't have a rule to positive identify/match passengers with bags - aka, your bags can fly without you. This rule came after Pan Am 103 exploded over Lockerbie where a passenger checked in explosives but didn't board the flight themselves.
@masudsaleh5155 you think efforts to sabotage local operators is a conspiracy theory? That's why Nigeria is importing fuel that's under our feet. Africans want to remain blind. How come foreign airline operators were charging over 60% higher before?
Air delay! Had the worst travel experience last year with this airline , a 6 hours delay kind of experience , arrived to my destination late midnight instead of early afternoon. Definitely the slogan should be (Your delay is our goal)
Blame it on your government. There is scarcity of aviation fuel and air peace boss has pleaded the senate to permit them to import fuel but they refused because of corruption in government. So do not blame air peace for everything.
I am a Nigerian and I fly in Air peace I’m surprised that it is the worst airline in Nigeria And yes my airline was delayed but I successfully came back to Lagos from Cross River
So... now you probably understand why I told you that you were playing safe for your 1st flight with Ibom Air🤣! Can't wait to see your review on the 777 during fuel crisis. Don't know if you're aware but during that period fuel price has incresed by much and refuelling companies were requesting to be paid in cash ($), and foreign currencies are hard to find in Nigeria so it has created a lot of additional issues (seems you experienced it right?). And just to tease you a bit: talking about safety, what about putting your seatbelt on in the taxi Josh😉? Greetings from Abuja!
I flew Air peace for the very first time last year from Johannesburg to Lagos, and I must say it was such an amazing experience, and going back to Nigeria again a few weeks ago I still booked air peace, the crew was very professional the second time around as well. I have never used their local flights. We booked Dana air from Lagos to Enugu, and their service was exceptional 👌. Coming back from Enugu, back to Lagos we decided to book Green Africa and it was not a pleasant experience,we waited almost 8 hours for the flight. The sad part was most people locals wr so not bothered by the delay,my partner was telling how normal it is,it is an everyday struggle 🤦♀️
This must be my cue to start selling good-luck charms for travelling by Air Peace. I've heard experiences from others that are similar to this but I must confess that it has never been my lot when travelling by Air Peace. Let me hasten to add that I'm not a heavy traveller and my route is always Lagos-Abuja and vice versa (my last flight was on April 15th 2022). I don't know what type of plane it was, but it was as bright as a penny and a pleasure to fly in. I've experienced only one delay so far in my travel history with them. It was a short and justifiable delay. I've also always been lucky to meet courteous cabin crew on my trips. No, I'm not holding a brief for Air Peace. And yes, I appreciate honest reviews; but linking Mr. Onyeama's private life to a review of the services of his airline makes it seem like a personal grudge. That doesn't sit well with me, sorry. (I don't know the man; didn't know he had issues with the law...) I'm so sorry that most people here have had unpleasant experiences. Hopefully Air Peace looks into things quickly. In the meantime, they remain my first choice.
I honestly felt the same way about his comment on Mr Onyeama’s past dealings with the law. That’s his private life and it doesn’t necessarily correlate with how his business is being run. There are ‘criminals’ who run their business with diligence as well. That being said, this was a great and well detailed review.
What Airpeace is doing is pretty much what most if not all Airlines in Nigeria are guilty off. You tend to see more complaints of Air Peace because they're by far the largest airline in Nigeria, so one shouldn't be surprised.
@@jidebolarinwa697: Because he is European and wants to hide their sins while they drives joy in exposing that of Africa. We African are cool with air peace, they are not perfect just as no airline is perfect but they one of the best.
@@RealityStand Please , don't justify or defend what is indefensible even by Nigerian standards. I thought Aviation standards are international? Or is there Nigerian aviation standard that other peoples and countries of the world should now copy?
Air peace is a great airline. It has one of best safety measures. It is currently facing too many passengers to fly and scarcity of fuel, it is temporary and everything will be alright later. I love the airline, we love the airline. The European airlines that he kicked out of business will keep doing their best to paint bad image about Air Peace but to disappoint them Air Peace kept growing larger and expanding to flying destinations.
The DC-3 at 9:16 is American registered and is used for geological survey of some sort. It stayed in Abjua for a month or so and flew almost every morning.
Mistagging luggage terrifies me as a wheelchair user. Fortunately only lost it once on a Kenyan Airways flight from Nairobi to Mombasa and was reunited an hour later.
Oh wow do they not just put the wheelchair on the plane with u in another storage compartment? That should be standard for people who use wheelchairs what a shame.
@@pervertedbananaa.k.a.nanne9347 no, very few airlines do that in fact KLM is the only airline I have flown that have done that, it always goes in the hold with the other luggage.
In 1982 to 1986 I worked in Lagos with Nigeria Airways, and from your video I can see that Nigeria has not Improved at all since then. At that time everything in Nigeria was chaotic, unorganized, and extremely corrupt. I can tell you a little true story from check in, in Murtala Muhammad Airport in Lagos. At that time, check in was not computerized. The check in personal had a peace of paper with stickers, with all the seat numbers printed. The seat number stickers was put on the passengers boarding cards, and when there where no more stickers left, the flight was full. But sometimes there was still a lot of passengers expecting to get a boarding card. So people/passengers bribed the check-in crew to get a boarding card, the check-in crew simply used a new paper sheet with seat numbers, and gave the remaining passengers a boarding card. You can probably imagine the situation at the boarding gate. 450 passengers expecting to board a plane with room for 350 People was fighting at the gate, people was fighting inside the aero plane because many passengers had boarding card with the same seat number, crew fighting with passengers, police fighting with passengers. It could take up to 2 hrs before things cooled down.
Dear Mister Dahl, I truly think that it is most unsafe to base an assumption like "Nigeria hasn't changed in almost 40 years" based on a 24 minute youtube video of a Nigerian air-travel company. Does it reflect certain aspects of current day Nigeria? Certainly, but to say that Nigeria as a whole hasn't changed is just a blatantly ignorant take, respectfully.
@@playoffmodesp2536 What certain aspects have improved? Water, electricity, bandits, corruption, kidnapping for ransom, universities on strike all the time, health care, etc. What has improved?
Airpeace is nasty. I've had so many nasty experiences with the airline including a 9-hour delay in Port Harcourt once when they kept postponing every 2 hours. Definitely a no for me!
This video brought back many memories from my travels in Nigeriaover ten years ago. I was hoping customer service would have improved by now. I have also stayed at Tahir Palace Hotel.

Welcome to Nigeria, I could recall how this same airline kept me and my family waiting from 5pm until we ended up flying to lagos at 11pm. Air peace should be called air trouble:(
As a travel agent, sometimes the roots of the problems are from the airlines. They are making big schedule change on their passengers itinerary on the same day of their flight, and without the passengers knowing, they will gonna miss their flights due to the changes which is really frustrating. Now, they will call travel agent to rebook their flight, but figuring it out the ticket is non exchangeable and non refundable. Now the blame will put mostly to us when in fact, all the problems are all something to do with the airlines. 😡🤬
Everything said in this video is a true reflection of the situation at our airports in Nigeria. I live in America and experience the same issues whenever I go home. Sorry you had to endure this.
Hey Josh, when in South Africa, I would love to see what you think of our local budget airlines, like Kulula, Mango and FlySafair. I am new to your channel, so not sure if you have done any of them in the past. Hope you enjoy Jozi.
Thanks for sharing another great video. Air Peace definitely seems to be the airline to avoid at all costs🤣. @9:17 That is not a regular DC-3 but a Turbo Basler BT-2, a DC-3 upgraded with turbo prop engines, new wings and modern avionics. It also has a different type certification. DC-3s converted like this have a 'zero time airframe' with respect to mandated inspections, and are basically brand new planes.
I remember Kano many years ago and the captain of our DC10 apologising for the late take off because local people were walking across the live runway. Apparently this used to happen a lot .
I am a Ghanains who has ever lived and worked in Nigeria. Everything works in Nigeria as a country, but most Nigerians do not work for the betterment of their country. The urge for quick money, not law abiding tribal sentiments, improper care by government institutions, no regard for human existance, Police and military brutalities, wanton killings of innocent people, hardcore arm robberies, disrespect, and other social vices. These acts can also be found in so many African country's and it does not pertain to Nigeria alone. This my personal statatics is ba
base on my personal experience that I observed when I came to Nigeria in the year 1974 of the 4th month 0f December. So am pleading with my brothers from Nigeria that, they should change their ways towards themselves and their nation to make Nigeria greater.
In South Africa we were also hit hard by Covid-19 and our national carrier South African Airways had to shud down after being mismanaged and collapsed by politicians. But we are not back to normal and the SAA has resumed. I suspect that Airpeace may have also not recovered fully after Covid-19
I agree with you the last time I went to Nigeria I have a very horrible experience in my own country that is not acceptable we just need to wake up Nigeria😢😢😢
Air Peace🤣🤣🤣🤣Air Drama, Air Disturbia, Air Aggravation, Air Nonsense is more like it! Nollywood could NEVER make a more hilarious movie! I laughed the entire time at their late, lazy and lackadaisical staff and protocol! More, more, more!
I love the Flickering ceiling lights- perhaps, loose wiring could be at fault, whether it is due to wear and tear, outdated wiring, or incorrect installation. That is an electrical problem that must take very seriously. A loose connection anywhere within the system is a fire hazard, as it is liable to cause arcing or overheating.
You have guts I’ll give you that! I assume that if the ground and air crews are so disorganized or just don’t care, shouldn’t the maintenance crews be the same? It’s a miracle these planes fly at all!
Good point ! People don't realize how the level of professionalism of each department in the airline reflects the level of professionalism across the entire airline.
Air peace is one of the best airline in Africa. When it comes to maintenance they have it excellent. This delays are not always, it is as a result of scarcity in aviation fuel and government not granting their request to import aviation fuel by themselves due to politics but soon everything will be in order. Have peace and fly air peace.
@@RealityStand fuel scarcity shouldn’t the reason for unprofessionalism. The boarding crew had no idea what they are doing, the cabin crew absolutely unaware of their duty. This seems like staffs are not been trained to be professionals. If that’s the case it reflects on the entire operation of AIR PEACE. Government shouldn’t be blamed for everything, can they help make things better? Definitely a YES but not in this case this video is presenting.
Been following your videos for a while and love your enthusiasm despite the circumstances. 'Air Chaos' seems a more accurate description. When taking flights within Africa in my past life, TIA (this is Africa) comes to mind. It's just a way of going about things using the African vibe of approaching a situation. It's not offensive, as most Africans would agree to the same from what I knew from living there for several years. There is always a way to get things done in Africa, just got to find the proper way (which can take time time on occasion, and yet it can be done) and most are just handicapped by the poor setup from management which is no fault of their own. Service in Africa can be the most authentic and wonderful once you break down the barriers and they see you as a real person. But all that aside, this experience is just sub-par for Africa or anywhere. Air Peace, is clearly one to skip.
Those are good observations about Africa. The worst case is foreigners acting presumptuous or mocking or rude. I'm a heavy long-haul int'l business class traveler. An in-continent flight I had from Ghana had an Afrikaaner (aka white) being very vocal and aggressive with the African crew over nothing and I intervened, I really wanted him tossed from the plane. People also need be aware their biases and microaggressions. I was on a short EasyJet flight within Europe where the check-in, boarding, flight, offloading were just terrible with a bunch of burly low class Brit soccer hooligans and a 'pack them in and no service attitude crew. I'd take the polite crews of Kenya Airways, Africa World Airways, etc over them anyday. Like you said, the service can be very engaging when barriers are broken, the crews came to know me and we always are happy to see each other. 🌍👍🏽
I am literally only 5:53 minutes into this video and already I have anxiety and had to breathe deeply and remind myself that I'm not there!!! I'm only watching!! I honestly commend you for your impeccable patience Josh!!! You're not even on the plane yet and I'M scared to go any further! 😥
Hey Josh! It is unbelievable what happened on that last landing of yours! If you want to make it safer, write a report on CHIRP. I am not sure it’s available in Africa but we have this system in Europe. Btw love your videos!😍
As a Nigerian myself, African men in general have a lot to learn in customer service, customer friendly and learn the basics and importance of maintenance, structure and professionalism. It's the same in all sectors from banking etc...they all need to be trained properly. Having said that I didn't know the owner was wanted in America for money laundering...what a shame. There is alot to be done.
Please don’t generalize African men. We don’t see this kind of bad service all over Africa. The levels of professionalism are much higher in East Africa. You need to watch his review of Kenya Airways!
I remember landing in Malaga (AGP) with Ryanair a few years ago (pre-pandemic) and we stopped on the taxiway for a couple of minutes. The seatbelt signs were on and people were already up getting their hand luggage. I was sitting on row 1 or 2 and had to tell the cabin crew that we were still on the taxiway and not on the gate. They couldn't seem any more disinterested and unwilling to tell people to sit down. We started to taxi again to our gate and a couple of people become unsteady on their feet. One of the worst flights I've ever been on.

I don’t even know how to feel about this video. I love Air Peace but boy! Do they need a lot of re-strategizing. They have their good days and worst days but it seems the worst days more often supersedes the good days. Like a ratio of 85:15. For their sake, I hope they get everything back to standard.
It is temporary issues caused by scarcity of aviation fuel. And air peace being the first choice and largest airline in Nigeria sometimes it has more passengers than it can handle. The ceo complain this and appealed to the senate to allow them the independent to import their own aviation fuel from anywhere in the world but due to politics and middleman benefits it was not granted. Everything will be alright soon.
All commentators rightly aired their views and experience flying Airpeace Airline. All airlines including American, African and European airlines have equally experienced their peculiar experience due to airline industry logistics. It is obvious that the narrator is a paid hack reporter by competitors. We don’t need a compromised narrator to influence jour choice of airline. The taste of a pudding is in the eating. I have stopped flying some European and American based airlines due to bad experience. Do the same if you have a bad experience and that will likely influence any airline to be customer friendly.
Hey Josh. I live in Abuja and I've experienced airpeace. They shift most of their flights and the planes are dirty most of the time. Most times to survive in the domestic for things to work you must have some sort of connection of governmental or with a high authority in the airport or something like that. Just an advice if you come back because if you dont, no matter who you are, some of them might treat you in a way you wont believe
In the 80s today's Democratic Republic of Congo was called Zaire. The country had a flag carrier, Air Zaire, but people nicknamed it "air peut etre"(air maybe) as it had an incredibly unreliable schedule. This by then standards in Zaire is some kind of an improvement
As I get older I have learned to lower my expectations from most service providers across the world. If Mr Onyema started an Airline, he must have also learned from the US the standards of airlines. My question now is, are his people seeing this video? Where's their response? Tell us you care!
One of my worst experiences was a Asian airline, lost my check-in bag. Departed from a small airport and the carrier ont yhas one destination. So how could they lose my bag?.Even worse was the attitude of the staff at the destination; standard response from every staff member 'It's just bad luck!, I'm sure it will be OK next time.' And no atttempt whatever to try to trace my bag. I told my taxi driver, he responded 'Please give me a few minutes', he came back with my bag, it was on a trolley waiting for more bags to eventually go to an aircraft for another flight. I went back to their desk inside the terminal and got abused for interfering in their work. Never used them again.
Oh My Nigeria😭😂 Sorry for the horrible experience It seems like the time you made this video we had a serious issue of fuel scarcity and it also affected the airlines as well. I Hope the next time you come it’ll be better. Much love 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Why was the flight delayed?
As a Nigerian, it’s so uncomfortable to watch this 😅 Shame these things happen at all (and frequently too for that matter)

@@oceejekwam6829 agreed!
In Nigeria, what I've observed over the years is that there is a strong connection between poor staff remuneration and unprofessionalism.
Most of these people will probably perform better even in Nigeria on a different airline. When your people are not treated well, they treat your customers poorly.

That's Every where in Nigeria there rude in general!
Right, sometimes airlines will purposely put your bag on another flight going to the same destination
The fact is : if ground grew and cabin crew are behaving like that, what are the pilots doing in the flightdeck and how are they behaving? How is the airline taking care of them (and their training) if every other aspect is a disaster and even unsafe !?
We saw what happened when the Nigerian factor slipped into the cockpit with the Dana Air crash. I really pray it doesn't happen to this airline.

Most airlines make these nasty mistakes. Not just about air peace
If Air Peace could be this nonchalant and negligent with basic standard procedure, I wonder how much attention they pay to aircraft maintenance/safety schedules. I also wonder if there is a civil aviation regulatory body in Nigeria to address this!

There’s no February 30.
Maybe they saw this video and wanted to improve momentarily.
My dear don't mind this white guy that's what they do if they don't like you if you can remember airpeace is the only ingenious flight that is challenging order foreign flight just emirates flight Dubai and counseling contact with americans also fastest growing african indigenous flight all this video was comply to bring airpeace down so they can have their way
@@brightbenson5193 We must learn to accept criticism when it happens objectively. We learn from it and get better.
Obviously... everyone has to take their seat...during landing and take off and taxing....even your Excellency Misus. Atleast the crew of Air Peace knew the very basic of protocols.Thank God for that.
@@truthprevails8814 You are right.
Arik is far worse 😫
Yeah, sometimes known as the TurboDak. Buffalo Airways still fly piston engined DC3’s

Hey Josh! About your luggage and offloading of unidentified bags… (14:05)
So called “positive passenger-bag matching” rule was discussed and later implemented after Lockerbie disaster in 1988.
Safe skies! :)
I hope Emirates are paying/treating you well with that Masters degree!!
To add as a baggage handler in the United States, we don't need to follow positive bag match unless the flight is going international.

I am loving this Africa adventure and once again, thanks for your honest flight reviews.

450 passengers expecting to board a plane with room for 350
People was fighting at the gate, people was fighting inside the aero plane because many passengers had boarding card with the same seat number, crew fighting with passengers, police fighting with passengers. It could take up to 2 hrs before things cooled down.

I’m always scared to think of how these planes are maintained
@@RealityStand fuel scarcity shouldn’t the reason for unprofessionalism. The boarding crew had no idea what they are doing, the cabin crew absolutely unaware of their duty. This seems like staffs are not been trained to be professionals. If that’s the case it reflects on the entire operation of AIR PEACE. Government shouldn’t be blamed for everything, can they help make things better? Definitely a YES but not in this case this video is presenting.
All their planes are basically new and well maintained.....let's not compare customers relationship department with technical department.
Please 🙄🙄🙄
Hey Josh! It is unbelievable what happened on that last landing of yours! If you want to make it safer, write a report on CHIRP. I am not sure it’s available in Africa but we have this system in Europe. Btw love your videos!😍
Wow, I have had the feeling that you are risking your life on some of these flights. You must have nerves of steel. Stay safe Josh.
No matter what Nigeria own an airline so what ever is said is to discourage Nigerians
NIGERIA breeds Corruption
@@andrewndambuki6097 worshipping mzungu is the job of east africans, so yes am not surprised.
He didn’t lauded any money…all he did was buy an airplane in America
@@andrewndambuki6097 my dear, I don't want to argue. Customer service is horrible in Africa in general...
He won't review about any European airlines but prefers to give mad image to Africa airline. There is not perfect airline in the world.
@@RealityStand the guy is either a racist or sadist.
@@RealityStand like he said he's half Ukrainian look how they treated Africans there first lol
Yeah. They made them queue like everyone else. You don't get away with your black privilege and entitlement in Ukraine. They've got bigger fish to fry than pandering to the tantrums of narcissustic african crybabies. Now do one! 🤡🤌🏻💦💦
Go! Azov lads! 🐀🔨🇺🇦
@@RealityStand haven't u seen the Bulgarian airlines vid?
I will still choose AIR PEACE over the extortionate prices virgin and BA are charging. Not to even talk about the prison food on BA and virgin. Air peace is new and indigenous, give them time to grow
Air Peace - We're calm so you don't have to be.
Air Peace - At least we aren't Spirit!
Aerror - You made your choice, now deal with it.
Air - Where your Peace of mind left on a previous flight.
Sorry you had to deal with that, you handled it like a champ though!
I’ve been eagerly waiting for this one. 😊 Even more for the 777 flight.
In the 80s today's Democratic Republic of Congo was called Zaire. The country had a flag carrier, Air Zaire, but people nicknamed it "air peut etre"(air maybe) as it had an incredibly unreliable schedule. This by then standards in Zaire is some kind of an improvement
I was once scheduled to go to Goma but then the one plane was taken over by Mobutu to fly his friends for his birthday!
I am glad that you got back your bag which is quite important.
100 👍👍
Thanks for striving for safety; your presentation is hilarious- I found it v impossible to drink my ☕️

Air Piece... of Shit
We'll get you there in the end!
“Your frustration is our goal”- air peace-NO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How about “Our goal is to ensure, you rest in peace” ✌️!!
Oh My Nigeria😭😂
Sorry for the horrible experience
It seems like the time you made this video we had a serious issue of fuel scarcity and it also affected the airlines as well. I Hope the next time you come it’ll be better.
Much love 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
You are not serious, it will always get worse
This video just lets you know how much insanity we have accepted into our sanity. I flew through the Abuja airport (domestic wing) some months back and damn, it was so chaotic.
Combine that with the nonchalance of the airlines staff and you are in for an adventure.
E tire me! We have normalized abnormal situations.
And these bLACKS want equal rights in Western countries 🤣🤣 just look at em
Exactly...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jeez! And i'm about to book a local flight 🙆♂️
Josh this vlog was like watching a car crash ! So painful to see . Shamefully I really enjoyed it . I’m loving your African adventure 😀
gr8 content Josh! Who knew there room for another player in this space? Loved the Air Peace stuff. Good luck from AK NZ
