That is noisy. Might try a flush. Drain all the old oil out after bringing up to operating temp and fill with diesel and drive around the barn a couple of times through the gears, back up etc. then drain while warmed up and refill with good quality 90w gear oil and see if that helps
I own a 130 and it looks exactly like yours, I love it. It's a must have for a mall farm. Can you recommend someone that sells replacement parts. And by the way, your videos are very good
Yes, sir. The 130 is the same, except for a little sheet metal. I get a lot of my parts (other than filters, oil, ignition parts, and such that I find at NAPA) from DuFour Tractor in Nashville, NC. He seems to have what I need and is just a pleasure to deal with, too. Thank you and thanks for watching!
I’ll comment, but everyone has their opinion this is a VERY touchy subject. These transmissions run straight 90 weight gear oil. I use 30w non detergent in the 140 engine. Since I’ve been inside the motor of the BN and know it’s sludge free I run 15-40 Rotella in it. Thanks for watching!
That's a new one to me. They are usually behind the brake rod. There are raised flats on the case, but the plug would not likely be raised. Shoot me a picture of it, because I'd like to see that if it's not there.
Mine, too. I had a 5/16" male pipe plug socket on the bar. Before that, I just filed two opposite points off of a cheap 5/16" Allen wrench to get it out.
NO WORRIES MAN!! ALL THAT I'VE HEARD SOUNDED JUST LIKE YOURS!!.
Yes, sir. I don't remember it being quiet, but I may take a look at it a little closer anyway. Thanks for watcihing!

Sounds like our A but not sure if that's a good thing. How about the final drive's oil?
Doesn't really sound like it is that far down, but they do need a check. Thanks for the idea!
Could you comment on what type of transmission oil and motor oil you used, or recommend?

my 1972 140 dose not have a fluid check plug it has a flat place there, but no plug?

Whet can of oli you use
Just standard 80-90w gear oil.
That check plug on mine is just a hair to small for a 3/8

Sure isn't a lot of room there to work
Just enough to want a little more!
