There’s a pattern called the Anjou pants pattern that’s free. I use it anytime I make pants and it’s perfect and basic so you can alter it if you need to really easily
I've been sewing pants forever, but until today I hadn't found a zipper tutorial that makes me want to do a zipper. Thank you so much for making it make sense!!!
Unsolicited but I have a tip for anyone who likes their waistbands to be a bit stiffer, use iron-on interfacing (if it's not stretchy fabric). I do mine like that cause I hate how flappy and foldy the soft ones get when I bend over or put pressure on them, and it adds more stability if you're adding buttons or hooks. Also it makes for a more professional look. Bonus point once you iron the waistband in half with the interfacing, it will stay like that (I've tested it on multiple skirts), and you won't have to iron out weird folds caused by wear. As for the technical perks, it keeps the waistband from stretching out by wear. Interfacing is also used on collars, the flap on the zipper fly and cuffs to help them look more crisp. If you're doing stiff bodices (straight-up corset or corset style), all the pieces of the outer layer or the lining layer (only one of them, not both) are interfaced to give a smooth look.
nah because the way you couldn't even begin to understand how you were my best find we have the exact same measurements and the thing is I really struggle with patterns so the fact that you put dimensions of your stuff helps me a lot as a beginner so id like thank you a lot, I really like your channel and i hope you can go far
you're SO talented! i love how you add little tips throughout your process, like fitting the waistband and how the buttonhole foot works. i'm adding these to my to-sew list!
YAY i love you to pieces. u inspired me to break out my sewing machine i threw in a corner a year ago when i bought it bc i was so afraid. i love you and your vids to pieces, you are such a peaceful presence and you are so freaking talented!!
They look so professional! Great tutorial, I'm not so comfortable with sewing I'll be trying trousers soon, but I'm definitely adding this video to my list of cool things to try in the future :D
Omg i am currently sewing a pants similar to this one ! Love it ! It inspires me to make it as good as yours ! Thank uuuuu. By the way these pants fits u PERFECTLY
Thank you so much for this, I actually made my own pants following the steps but made some adjustments. Now I own a pants that fits me for real, and I will probably make more. :>
Hello, thank you for your awesome video! I always press this kind of fabrics before cutting, it works marvelous! Blessings and hugs from Tampico, México 🇲🇽 take care!
I'm the epitome of a peach body type but my legs(except my thighs) are quite lean so it's so hard to find pants that look flattering or actually fit both my waist and thighs. I'm planning on starting sewing because my aaji (grandma) is very good at it but she only makes traditional clothes (I'm Indian), thank you for the tutorial, it was perfect and so informative ❤️😊 New sub ✨
I love this video and pattern! I just followed u on IG I can’t wait to try my own pair. Is this the wide leg pants pattern you have for sale on your website?
Hi, I've been watching your video's for a while. I just love the way you explain things. I'm in a pickle, I'm learning to roller skate but very afraid of falling. At my tender age, healing may take a while 😵, I'm not a spring chicken anymore if you catch my drift. I'm hoping you can show me/us how to create padded shorts, where I could shape and stuff foam in pants. Amazon has padded pants, unfortunately not in my size😥. I'm really anxious to get started, please help............
I really love the tutorial so far but I am a little confused on the pocket measurements. I don't understand how the right side is supposed to 5 inches since it looks like its exactly between the 3 inch mark and the 11 inch mark. However after looking at it for longer, I'm thinking the five inch mark is the length of the pocket at three inches down and then it curves out to six inches in length at the bottom of the pocket. However, if I'm wrong I would really appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

I love the music on your blog. You do a good job of making your clothes.
A pretty creative idea. You go, girl.
waistbands on pants are usually cut on the bias and belt loops usually have one side sewn into the waistband and then folded up!
ok so is it just me or would these not be the cutest with a frog beret ♥🐸
I wouldn't lie but I am kinda jealous but you are so so talented in your work you go girl ❤️

Thank you for being so detailed and clear to understand!
I've never seen those techniques! And those are brilliant!!!!
A lil hack @15:35 stick in two pins at the stitches so that way if you accidentally lose control of it, the seam ripper won’t go past the pins
Thank you so much for this, I actually made my own pants following the steps but made some adjustments. Now I own a pants that fits me for real, and I will probably make more. :>
