We sure love following you guys out with your crab adventures, we learn a lot! Thanks for the blue crab fuel tip also! Both of us here said a prayer for your family.🙏✝️
I really enjoy watching you and Stef. It's nice to see you thinking of the next generation so they have crab and fish. This is what me and my husband are teaching are grandchildren. Prayers as always
Thanks so much. We'll keep trying our best to share positive videos with everyone as long as we can. We wish everyone would do their best to look out for the next generation as we do. Stay safe and take care. Keep looking out for them grandkids and tell them every chance you can that you love them.
Thank you for taking me along with the both of you. It makes for a great time and getting a good meal as well. You two stay safe and enjoy the good weather. It’s raining here in Maine right now.
Thankfully, we've been getting plenty of rain here too. We're both glad to hear you enjoyed our video. We'll try our best to keep the videos coming,. Stay safe, take care, and enjoy this day. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a comment.
I Absolutely love all of you guys content from shrimping, crabbing, shelling, fishing and cooking keep up the awesome job, and prayers for you guys and your family. 🙏
LOL! The blue crabs are color blind so they didn't mind the blue chicken. It looked very weird to me, too. The crabbing is picking up in our area now. We'll be back out crabbing with you guys soon.
I love the sheer simplicity of crabbing in a CS with a small outboard. Great video guys…thanks for taking us along for the ride. We’re in South Louisiana and the temps have over 100 for weeks now, it’s brutal. Our crabbing trips take about 4 hours round trip which is using ring nets not traps.
I always love it when Legrand joins your video. That was a mighty nice spot fish he caught. Crabbing looks like so much fun! Kinda like Christmas on a good day.
Sure is. We don't normally measure our crabs pincher to pincher tip but I did measure that big 7 1/8" crab we caught a couple years back that way and it was somewhere in the low 20's. I'm not too sure what the exact measurement was. We'll have to start showing you guys what some of the big crabs we are catching are measuring pincher to pincher tip. I'm pretty sure some are over 18".
Hi Steph and Oliver! Love this video. So fun to watch you guys crabbing! Tell LeGrande his favorite fan says Hello and kudos on his catch! Look forward to seeing him with you guys crabbing. Sending up prayers for your family members healing. Have a blessed week!
Hey Steph ever thought about putting the crab on one of your shirts maybe on the back of the big blue crab on the back of the shirt I think it’ll be a hot seller for you to put your logo on the left front side of your shirt
I Line in North Carolina and we do it the same way. I watched a guy doing it with PVC poles and chicken Leah’s and they got a bunch of crabs but they had to get in the water and stay with the lines. Blue crabs are delicious
I've also seen a video that showed a guy using that method of crabbing. I also like watching guys that trot line for blue crabs. It's interesting. Look up videos on trot lining for blue crab. 🦀😋👍
I always enjoy watching you guys living the salt life...Legrand is always a pleasure to see too. We've had crazy rain last few days, keeping me from going out. Sponging ain't easy lol
another good informational video ...suggestion is next time do 2 pots with the blue bait and 2 without and see if it makes a difference ..as you said location is the key though
Good Morning my favorite low country couple ! I like to sit my chicken in the sun for a few hours to get it "stinky:..that fuel looks cool..I'm going to pick some up..we went to Fernandina this past weekend..it was 124 heat index..actual temp 102 with 98% humidity and zero mph wind..so miserable. You and Steph need to stay hydrated !!! We are going to Edisto 4 days for Labor Day and a week at the end of September ! Hope all is well with tge family and we will keep you in our prayers ! God Bless..🙏🙏
Thanks so much. We appreciate your prayers. I hope you guys have a great time visiting Edisto. Steph and I are watching out for each other. Life is great.
Nice rusty crabs! They have the most meat in them because it's been a while since they molted. They're in the deeper water because of the excessive heat. They'll come back to the shallows in the fall. Really enjoying your videos!
Just came across your channel. I have watched a couple other videos (and subscribed). Great stuff. your prayer request was a bit vague but prayers up for direction and understanding.
I love Pautzke crab fuel sometimes I will stick some bait binder in a can with holes. knocks them into the trap. Told you guys last year about Pautzke Blue Fuel
We're coming back for another trip to Beaufort-Charleston area but this time we're bringing the jon boat and traps this time. What would be your best advice for us or where to launch and drop. thanks in advance
The crabbing is getting pretty dang good. We're starting to see a lot of keeper crabs crabbing in the marsh creeks. You shouldn't have any problem catching them. Stay safe and hydrated.
Hi guys. Great video. Cant believe you all left that boat over night at the community dock. Here where we live i would have been more worried about if the boat would be there still instead of the storm...lol Love watching your videos. I feel you all are the most genuine people of what your life is about. Thinking of possibly moving up that way when we retire. Any chance you know about what the medium cost is on the water for a small house? Tight lines.....god bless.
Thanks. Houses on the water here have doubled in the last 10 years. You'll be lucky if you come across a small house on a deep water lot in a decent community for $500,000. And there will probably be HOA fees.
Out in the Chesapeake Bay In deep water you might get an eight or nine and possibly even a 10 inch crab but they’re not that Plentifuldon’t let nobody kid you me personally the biggest crab I record was 7 1/2 inches Annette rascal he was been in the mud for a long time but he likes that chicken on a trout line and we were on trout lines up here some people run traps most of us run trout lines good crabbing but you won’t go wrong using chicken all about the blue chicken but I never use Smurf chicken😂😂😂🦀🦀🦀🦀
When I saw the blue crab fuel, I had to buy it and give it a try. Did it help? I really can't say if it did, or it didn't. We'll have to do some more testing.
We're having a great time out on the water. Enjoying life. We haven't been trawling in a while. There are very few boats trawling in our area at this time. The shrimp we're seeing are small and there are lots of sharks here. Most of the trawl boats are docked and waiting on cooler weather when the sharks should head offshore. The risk of sharks destroying trawl nets and small shrimp makes trawling not worth it for us at this time.
I understand having sickness in family. My mom just had 2 surgeries because of kidney stones and she still has them and can’t get rid of them. She also has cyst on kidney. I always enjoy watching that crab with blue apron was a beautiful crab.
There's nothing wrong with a rusty crab. The crabs shell is discolored. (Rusty colored) Their shell gets dirty when the crab hasn't mollted in a while. Usually, those crabs are heavy and full of meat.
I love y'all's videos. I'm in Florida and just crab from shore. I watch y'all to learn for when I get a boat. I appreciate how you educate about how crabbing should be done to protect the species. So overall do you think the blue crab fuel is worth it? Looks like it's $24 on Amazon now.
I Oliver you know the law says that you’re supposed to have a cut off cord on your arm when you’re operating a boat and also I don’t see a fire extinguisher on your boat and only seen too life jacket and no throw cushion all that to get your big tickets 😂😂
Y'all don't shrimp anymore me personally I don't eat crab too tedious but I like shrimping haven't seen a shrimp and video from y'all in a long time I know it's harder on that bigger boat but y'all got going on bro what's up
We've been taking a break from trawling. The shrimp are small in our area right now and we don't have many people that want to purchase small shrimp. We can't eat but so many. We'll be back out trawling soon.
I hate the fact that you have to buy a saltwater fishing license that is so demeaning they don’t stock anything in the oceans or the salt water right so what the hell do you gotta pay some politician for a for?
@@SaltyReflections you put a? I’m just complaining you shouldn’t have to pay for assault auto license. They don’t stock fish in the ocean. OK that’s what I’m saying.
@@SaltyReflections well Sarah if you read the constitution you’re not supposed to have to pay even taxes on your land. This is what they turned America into. It’s a shame you know I was 30 miles offshore and a goddamn boat came and searched the boat and broke our chops there was nothing wrong. Why would they go 30 miles offshore when it’s easier to catch illegal aliens right on shore
Bless you both! Please keep these crabbing videos coming. This old 70 year old southern Maryland boy enjoys em.
