I read 3 of your books so good they can't ignore you had a big influence on me at a young age 16 it made me decide to learn programming and now at 21 I've built 3 apps and am interviewing for a full time job 🤞 I know you won't read this comment from your stance on social media so I guess I'm talking to your social media manager lol
I sense you are spot on with the quiet quitting / anticapitalism being a Red Herring - it's making noise but that's what's been mentioned by the press who is constrained by their stance on work (anti corporate anti capitalism) - however I've explored it a bit and there's not much of a there there I love the 50s/70s/90s/2010s thesis and think it's spot on - the only thing I'd add is computers and 90s and slowing career paths (economic growth and boomers taking over) driving more analysis and initiative programs to "prove" success - I call my take on it the accidental meaning hypothesis: ua-cam.com/video/gIk4A-xBQIM/v-deo.html
I have been writing about this shift too. I sense the terms of the discussion have been too narrow. I recently wrote a book that's been getting traction with people all over the world - The Pathless Path (maybe easier than your acronym than VBLCCP 😂) and my aim of attack on work culture is the whole fabric of society - I kind of point out that this is the flaw in "escape scripts" - FIRE, 4HWW, minimalism... You can't really escape. My shift is about creating space and then broadening the definition of work (things worth doing) and then daring to build your life around it. Really about figuring out how to leave the success script culture (which may involve succeeding in it first). I think you are a good example of this! Would love to send you a copy of the book if interested! think-boundless.com/the-pathless-path

Cal for President 2024. C'mon, Cal. Make it happen.
Highly recommend checking out Paul’s book, The Pathless Path. Funny to see him in this comment section too.
Very timely
