you have to remove overflow plate and shove a rag in the overflow pipe so air dose not escape. you create a better seal and the air snake will do a much better job unclogging that tub. i use it almost everyday. best tool ever. if your not careful you can burst apart sink traps. ive seen it happen. always make sure fittings are on tight
All fun and games until you blow apart fitting in a ceiling. On tubs. Nope won’t use don’t know if there is a slip joint tub trip and waste in the ceiling
Yea I guess. A cable could so the same thing though. I’ve seen guys pop holes in p traps all of the time. This is just an emergency tool 🤷🏻♂️ works good if you can’t get your cable through a cast iron p trap and if tubs are not back to back.
1 1/2 nozzle. The smallest one it comes with. This was one of the first times I used it. You need to remove cover plate and stuff a rag down in it as you do it. Much more effective that way. Otherwise you’ll have stuff splattered all over the walls😂 (found out the hard way)
@@JWP.Plumbing thank you! I actually went ahead and tried it not too long after haha I did stuff a rag and I actually had to go up 40 psi that tub was for sures backed up
@comic I use it all the time. Even when I can’t unclog it with my general 25 foot cable. I’ll just pull this thing out and it does the trick. It’s perfect for those difficult clogs
@@JWP.Plumbing yea it did seem to get the job done faster than my 25 ft rigid drum snake I was going to invest in the Milwaukee m18 snake but I decided to go with this instead

Yea I’ve figured that out. Thanks for the advice.
Happened to me today on a 1 1/4 bathroom sink p trap. What a mess!
What percent did you use ?
This was at 15 psi.
