Can you imagine them trying to pull this skit off now... LMAO
No damn way homey
Ah, the 90's...when people weren't such touchy sonsofbitches.
There is no way this skit could be done today. Today's generation of actors and writers simply don't have the talent.
@@darrylbradshaw3527 There's still talent out there brother. The problem is they are scared shitless to write certain things anymore because God forbid we offend someone. Thank God for Tarantino,..lol..Once upon a time in Hollywood. That's straight fuck off to the PC police, and no one complained because it was so damn good.
No just not allowed to. Liberals would have a hissy fit, to the moon and back.

Why is everyone saying it's creepy or inappropriate? You have to be creepy to think that. There is no contact plus they are in a studio with hundreds of people.
I'm 62 and live in Italy and nobody here would think that. I go regularly to the gym and in my time slot there are the kids who do martial arts and more often that not we end at the same time so I and other adult men find ourselves in the big communal shower with kids from 8 to 18. Ovviously there is no physical contact but nobody thinks the slightest thing hs odd.
There is one kid who is 7 or 8 and his mum (I've known her for years) asks me to make sure he washes himself well and dries his hair.
If everytime you see a shirtless child you think abuse then you are provably the one with problems. .
👊 bunch of loonies over here 💩🙏
This is only Americans. They're totally screwed up.
A child in a bathub naked with a grown man not related to him is a bit off, I would say. It's funny, but in real life it would not be.
"I can't do my drawerings when I got prune hands"
This was Michael Jackson's favorite SNL Sketch.
This was Macaulay Culkin's way of protesting everyone's disapproval of Michael Jackson's kid-friendly sleepovers
@Christopher Ryan It certainly shows how fucking hypocritical Hollywood is. They relentlessly attacked MJ for being in the pool with kids, out on the open with their parents being there, everyone wearing bathing suits while they are doing a scene like this.
@@jfacts2113 If you observe closely, at least one of them is wearing a swimming suit! Also, their hands is wear you can see them; therefore, they're not doing anything inappropriate!
No this is them mocking us and saying “look what we do look what we get away with we’ll put it right in front of your face and still get away with it”
@@darrylbradshaw3527 obviously they aren’t gonna be able to put anything inappropriate they did, on tv. Everything happened behind the scenes and this disgusting skit is their way of saying “look what we can get away with”
@@thitsmcgee1917 Congratulations! You've just been awarded a trophy for cynicism!
In other words, there is nothing wrong with this skit. Both characters are two innocent boys playing in the bathtub in a comedy sketch, and the fact that one of the characters is played by an adult comedian adds to the humor. Furthermore, there is no evidence to support anything sexual going on between these two, on or off camera!
I think Simon was part of what inspired Austin Powers
Should have also done Philip the Hyper Hypo with Macaulay, that'd be funny seeing Macaulay leashed like that. LOL!!

Neverland! Lots of baths and drawerings.
Sean Webb Bullshit. Neverland was full of adult witnesses and when Culkin was there his family was there too including his father who was violent and territorial. There were no baths and drawerings in Neverland. for one thing Jackson had vitiligo and therefore hiding his skin as much as he could
@@jimcim29 You're living in denial.

@Si Dunue Sad, but true. People are so negative and can't enjoy a joke without tearing it apart in skepticism.
@Si Dunue this shows filmed live so the audience knew that ahead of time when they first got into the bath
Don’t be looking at their bums!! Ya cheeky bastard.
@Luke Mills Are you okay? If a stranger was in a bath in an intimate setting it's weird you're right, but your still massively wrong if you think that's even relevant to what's happening here.
It's a skit revolving around MM being a child that can't really be portrayed in other ways.
They are both clothed and know each other, with a whole audience and many staff present, going swimming with family or in a public pool is much more intimate and creepy that what's going on here yet that's considered completely fine.

When comedy was allowed.
This skit, despite what’s surfaced in the last couple of weeks, was an innocent, magnificent moment in comedy. Culkin’s an outlier. A brilliant one
Yea pretty funny and he was probably like 10 here. Yet he got it all in one take.
These were the days when they were just plain humor.
No, they were the days before people understood the rampant predation that went on, and much before anyone cared to discuss it openly.
Let me guess. You decided it wasn't funny anymore when they started making jokes about Trump.
This is painfully unfunny
why do I feel like I am now on a couple of watch lists after watching this?
I watch SNL from time to time, old and new, but I never saw this. WTF and how was this acceptable even back then?
They're not naked.
Because the Simon character is supposed to be a boy, not a grown man, and they’re wearing bathing suits.
@Ed Edwins Since when is pointing out the weirdness of an adult man and a child in a bathtub together considered being a "snowflake" lol
@@crixxxxxxxxx still gross
Simon was a recurring character who would be in the tub with others, too. There was an episode where he was in with Danny DeVito, who was smoking and playing an adult. OK now that I think about it that was even worse.

American humour is just the kid in your class that is desperate to be funny and doesn’t shut up
Well...Canadian humor, to be sure.
All I can picture is Shrek and Kevin McAllister from Home Alone.
I just found this out: they did this whole sketch, in fact all the sketches in the show that Macaulay was in, because his father wouldn't allow cue cards to be used while Macaulay hosted.
Yeah, his dad was a crazy asshole. Scripts are given with only a week to rehearse along with the occasional rewrite, sometimes hours before going live. It's just messed up because that's a lot of pressure and stress to put on a child. He really was so talented.
Macaulay said that in an interview. He resented his father for that and other things. He is very talented. If his parents were not such horrible people, he could have done better things as he got older.
@@nans969 better how? He's doing great. He's content with his millions of dollars, his podcast, painting, etc.

Uhh. Revisiting this as an adult in 2024 hits different.
It's a comedy sketch! There was no actual child abuse happening here. Do you think Macauley Culkin was never in a swimming pool wearing a bathing suit in proximity to an adult male also wearing one?
