That's the beauty of Perfumery 🙂 You can try anything you'd like! Try your strongest and longest lasting ingredients in different ratios until your happy with the combination. Not everything goes together, but you never know until you try ✌🏼

@@Whiffly sir if i will do an oil based perfume, why is there a need for carrier oil,im not sensitive to pure fragrance oil,is there any chemical reaction if pure fragrance oil is combined to carrier oil, does it make the scent much better if its combined or we can try the pure fragrance oil?im your new subscriber!your channel is very knowledgable!

High concentrations can be hazardous to your health, so I advise against using these on your body undiluted. That's one of the main reasons we wear gloves, and dilute fragrances aside from scent changes or lifecycle longevity due to different dilution ratios. Fragrance oils are usually a mixture of Aroma Chemicals and Essential Oils. A lot of which are hazardous materials under high concentrations. Some even deemed corrosive or suspected of damaging fertility/unborn children. Always read the Safety Data Sheet before handling fragrance Ingredients. I try to stay away from the suspect chemicals in general. With that being said I hope this answers your question! And welcome to the Modern Fragrance Community 🙂🌿

@@Whiffly thank you so much, very well said sir, your channel is the only one that teaches the science of perfume, but what is the exact ratio of fragrance oil and carrier oil, whats the best carrier oil you can recommend,im not a seller,im just a consumer that really wants to have my own perfume,my own scent!

@@mi-vy8xm The exact ratio is hard to determine because of personal preferences. I'd recommend taking a quick look at the perfume dilution classifications on Google 🙂 It'll give you a good basis you can work off of. I'm not as familiar with oil based fragrances aside from Beard Oils, but I imagine it follows the same concept with a higher concentration. For example; possibly 08-15% EO to 85-90% carrier. Again, personal preferences come with choosing a carrier oil. Do a little research on top carrier oils, and choose the ones that are best suited for what you're trying to accomplish. I created a blend of Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Avocado Oil for a rollerball perfume I did in the past. One more thing; Be sure to only use skin safe FO if any FO at all. Personally, I only use Essential Oils for oil based fragrances knowing it'll be resting and absorbing into the skin for longer periods of time than Ethanol.

This is my new fav youtube channel!!! Is there a chart online that sorts ingredients by categories like you just did (base, heart and top). Also, is it possible to mix essential oils with fragrance oils ? What are the differences between the two ? Cheers man loving the stuff 💪💪
