I use a Slip silk pillowcase. I love it. It can be washed in the machine. Not only is it better for side sleepers, it is also good for hair. Less hair breakage and less frizz
I’ve been using a silk pillow case for a few months now and can definitely tell a difference! No more “wrinkles” on my face- my hair looks smooth and healthier 💜so yep, it’s a thing!!
A C it’s a brand called Ravmix I bought on Amazon- they have so many beautiful colors and sizes, too. A nice variety to choose from. I wash on a gentle cycle and air dry them.

I haven't tried any of their makeup unfortunately Leah! Tried to track down a couple of things in particular (like their blush sticks) last time I was in the US, but didn't have any luck x
I am a part time makeup artist and e.l.f. is probably the worst brand I have ever encountered. The makeup wears off in five minutes, even with their primer and I used a brush once and it promptly fell apart. While I'm at it, L'Oreal and Maybelline are also dreadful.
I'll be traveling to Australia in the next week or so! Would love to take a peak around Mecca. The packaging is so beautiful (unfortunately, pretty packaging is a big weakness of mine lol).

Hello Mathilda! I do use silk pillow cases, they aren't actual high grade silk, I use the cheaper ones with mixed materials. It does make your hair less frizzy and messy when you wake up, and you don't end up with the creases in the face after you wake up. I didn't notice any other differences myself,but its very comfortable, and feels fancy and soft. It would be a nice - stocking-gift!
Loved the video! One thing I want to bring to attention is that we shouldn't support mario badescu especially since the steroids incident and them not disclosing their entire ingredients list. I'm sure there are many other great facial sprays to replace it!

I love that you feature so many clean products! but I just wanted to say- for the cotton mask- biodegradable doesn't mean anything because if you throw it in the landfill, it's not going to break down. Of course, it's still better than plastic lol but many companies can greenwash their products like that. In addition, when products are compostable/biodegradable, it usually only refers to a commercial facility- so your backyard compost won't work on it. Also, being recyclable doesn't necessarily mean anything either. It varies by city/recycling program on whether they accept it or not. For example, glass is 100% recyclable, but my city recently stopped accepting it and now to recycle it you need to drop it off at specific locations. Another example are plastic straws- technically recyclable but is usually picked out in the sorting process (and thrown away) because it'd just get stuck between the machinery.

I really appreciate it 👏 That's a very good point about what *really* happens to packaging even if it's biodegradable, and I agree about the variation between recycling services. Luckily a lot of my empty skincare bottles can go in my local recycling collection, but I also take cans and glass bottles to another recycling site in my city, and any makeup compacts to a TerraCycle drop off point. Not an easy fix to be gathering everything up, but it's good to get into the habit! x

Thank you Salma, nice to hear! I don't use Vaseline lip products - they contain too much petroleum so they do nothing for my lips. They're a good barrier to lock in moisture or block out wind and cold, but I prefer more hydrating balms instead 👍 x

Japanese brand KAO makes those steam eye masks. I believe they are called Megurism/MegRythm and they come in a box of 12 at ~15CAD. They have 6-7 different scented version as well as no-fragrance variety.

I've been really obsessed with hand creams lately and finally decided to buy one. only now i can't pick one, i saw the Go to hand cream, By Terry one and now Jurlique rose hand cream. Out of those three which one would you recommend?
Unfortunately I never recommend products because everyone's skin / budget / fragrance preferences are different. They're all some of my favourites so it depends what you think you'd enjoy most! 👍 Important to do your own research and work out what's best for you x

Satin pillow case is great! I can't speak long term, but I noticed less pimples and slightly less hair frizz. Some people say they have less breakage, but I don't notice a difference.. Hopefully I will have less wrinkles in the future! Haha

I find myself having a love-hate relationship with the Caudalie face mist, some days I love it because it is refreshing and it wakes my skin up. But other days I can’t stand the scent and it almost annoys my skin and I want to wash it of. Anyway, it reminds me of the lovely service and help I got when I visited my first (and so far only) French pharmacy and didn’t understand the language😊
Apologies Violet! Unfortunately Australia and the US have vastly different sunscreen regulations so an SPF product from here can't be imported into the US. Something to keep on your wishlist if you get to visit us one day! 😄🇦🇺 x

I’m 16, so a bit older but the first thing I got from glossier was balm dot com, it’s a great product, fun flavours, and really convenient for school (it fits well in a pocket inside a bag or slipped inside a pencil case) Hope this helps :)

The rose is also my favorite.

I love that you feature so many clean products! but I just wanted to say- for the cotton mask- biodegradable doesn't mean anything because if you throw it in the landfill, it's not going to break down. Of course, it's still better than plastic lol but many companies can greenwash their products like that. In addition, when products are compostable/biodegradable, it usually only refers to a commercial facility- so your backyard compost won't work on it. Also, being recyclable doesn't necessarily mean anything either. It varies by city/recycling program on whether they accept it or not. For example, glass is 100% recyclable, but my city recently stopped accepting it and now to recycle it you need to drop it off at specific locations. Another example are plastic straws- technically recyclable but is usually picked out in the sorting process (and thrown away) because it'd just get stuck between the machinery.

I really appreciate it 👏 That's a very good point about what *really* happens to packaging even if it's biodegradable, and I agree about the variation between recycling services. Luckily a lot of my empty skincare bottles can go in my local recycling collection, but I also take cans and glass bottles to another recycling site in my city, and any makeup compacts to a TerraCycle drop off point. Not an easy fix to be gathering everything up, but it's good to get into the habit! x

Thank you Salma, nice to hear! I don't use Vaseline lip products - they contain too much petroleum so they do nothing for my lips. They're a good barrier to lock in moisture or block out wind and cold, but I prefer more hydrating balms instead 👍 x

Japanese brand KAO makes those steam eye masks. I believe they are called Megurism/MegRythm and they come in a box of 12 at ~15CAD. They have 6-7 different scented version as well as no-fragrance variety.

Unfortunately I never recommend products because everyone's skin / budget / fragrance preferences are different. They're all some of my favourites so it depends what you think you'd enjoy most! 👍 Important to do your own research and work out what's best for you x

Satin pillow case is great! I can't speak long term, but I noticed less pimples and slightly less hair frizz. Some people say they have less breakage, but I don't notice a difference.. Hopefully I will have less wrinkles in the future! Haha

I find myself having a love-hate relationship with the Caudalie face mist, some days I love it because it is refreshing and it wakes my skin up. But other days I can’t stand the scent and it almost annoys my skin and I want to wash it of. Anyway, it reminds me of the lovely service and help I got when I visited my first (and so far only) French pharmacy and didn’t understand the language😊
