Homelite trimmer fuel line repair

Step by step process to fix the fuel line on a Homelite trimmer from Home Depot (2002 model). Easy repair, basic tools and a trimmer tune up kit ($10) required. Even know the kit is from Ryobi it is compatible with most Homelite trimmers. Info can be found on the Home Depot's website, search for "trimmer tune up kit".

You have your fuel lines on BACKWARDS. The intake suction is closest to the primer bulb and that line goes to your tank filter. The return line is away from the primer bulb and is the line with no filter that goes in your tank. The easiest way to know this is when you prime your engine with the primer bulb it is gasoline pushing through the carburetor which is the suction. On all engines with a primer bulb, that is your suction line that requires the filter in the tank

You failed to show us how to get those dang female tubes onto the carb male parts. That's where I'm having problems. Get a tri pod next time.
