In short, a fallen hero and not a minor villain. If I did the art direction I’d probably go with a theme of red/orange fire instead of green poison. I'm not so sure; I mean, we ARE talking about the lady who boiled, cooked and served her own children as a meal to the father of the bride his own husband supposed to marry (again), with just the tiniest bit of remorse. Add in some nifty magical and alchemical powers, and a mean caucasian strong woman streak to boot, and you can very well easily get a statuesque brunette überfrau who would curse you to death AND inspire you to be a better version of yourself at the same time.
While I do agree that some things should be adjusted, it is very interesting that Medea would garb herself in the colours of death and the dead. Perhaps her breakup with Jason pushed her to re-invent herself, not just as a person, but as a magic-user as well? A black widow, delighting in curses and torment?
