Let me nerd out: it's because of her title as the mistress of mistery! You know, the things that hide in the dark, the reason why she was always represented with torches.
That would actually be kind of hilarious. I can absolutely imagine Zagreus to prode her about it if he ever interacts with her at some point, or maybe it'll be mentioned in Hecate's lines about Zagreus to Melinoe.

Like I know they are immortal but last I check, they still have a sense of touch and pain, so that can't be comfortable
Take it a step further, she has a spell that automatically generates new masks if her current one is removed
She keeps her head and hair above the water so that it does not get wet.
Poor Odysseus in the first scene seemed quite terrified of angering her, which is understandable for a) any mortal dealing with gods and b) Odysseus especially.
Although It's nice to see him relax a bit after he realises this particular goddess isn't trying to trick him into getting himself punished in some terrible way.
Look what happened to that one guy when he accidentally saw Artemis. He even snitched on himself and she still turned him into a constilation (or a girl, it happened twice but one of the guys fessed up and the other hid and got caught.
I think Odysseus knows the consequences of pissing off a God (intentionally or otherwise) more than anyone at this point so his being cautious is understandable.

Probably still a bit goofy but I'm expecting him to have a more important role considering hes just sitting there like the most blatant teaser for something cool of all time and starts to hint at some interesting things when you gift him. With the higher stakes of this game too I wouldn't be surprised if hes slightly less jovial.

I love how even after Eris betrays Melinoe and starts actively assisting the Titan who kidnapped her family and plans to conquer the world Mel is still willing to have a relaxing soak with her.
She doesn't give a shit about Chronos. She fights Mel for the thrill of it
Mel actually has a line early in the game where she mentions that she does not actually hate Chronos as much as she should as she has never met him and does not remember her family. So she has the least hate out of everyone there.

There's a line in an encounter with Chronos in which the titan states that Strife is not officially his ally nor has he ever interacted with her directly

The hunter Acteon was apparent pretty famous in the Ancient Greek world because he peeped Artemis while she was bathing, so then she transformed him into a deer for his hunting dogs to maul in retribution

Yeah I dunno this, Hades, and BG3 made kinds question my sexuality. I don't know if it's I'm attracted to the characters or if I just think certain dynamics between characters are cute.
God the chemistry between all these characters is so good. I cannot get enough of how they write their dialogue.

The first time I tried this was with Moros. I was NOT expecting that artwork!
Kind of bummed with the direction Odysseus’ story is taking. Don’t get me wrong, I love the approach of peeling back the legend to reveal a flawed man. But I feel like they’re downplaying his devotion to Penelope, which does a disservice to the myth as I understand it.
I think the resolution of Odysseus will probably be reconciling with his family though. It seems more like he is starting to have second thoughts now that he is dead then him being that different when he was alive. Like now that he really can't experience it as a shade anymore his mind starts to wonder to the more extreme experiences he felt in life.
Mel overthinking and stressing in the springs because Hectate is there is very relatable

Odysseus was a married man in life, and he has been with Goddesses (immortal sorceresses) like Circe and Calypso, so he technically has nothing to fear from Melinoe

another interesting thing to note is that even though Odysseus has been with Goddesses, his one true love is his wife, Penelope, who remained faithful and true to him even though every one else believed that he had died on his way home from the Trojan War and were pressuring her to marry one of the many suitors that came for her hand, Odysseus eventually returns home to Penelope after more than 20 years apart with some assistance from Athena, who favored him for his cunning and wily nature, and they rekindled their relationship

We will have to wait and see which ones are romance routes and which are just friendly baths. Since I am certain Hecate is just a friendly bath given she is Mel's main parental figure. Moros could also just be a friendly bath same with Dora. We will have to wait and see.

Excuse me fellas but i don't get it. Moros keeps talking how he's the one who's with mortals in their final moments and all that, but isn't that the job of Thanatos? he is death, wouldn't he be the one to meet with mortals as they die?
When I saw Odysseus and Nemesis here, I immediately thought that these would be Melinoe's love interests. But I'm looking now, and there are even more of them. However, two guys and 4 girls are not such a big choice. I already know who the players will pair Melinoé with)

It's the Adamant Rail from the first game. specifically using the "Aspect of Eris". If you look at Nem she's using the Stygian Blade with her aspect as well.
It's the gun from the first game lol. Looks like the underworld gods stole all of Zag's loot after Chronos zapped him out of linear time.

@@MoonlitPhoenix0 pretty sure they exaggerate the size of the weapons in game to make them more readable to the player. I'm pretty sure the Stygian Blade looks huge in Game compared to how it looks in the key art of Zag holding it. Plus the whole aspect thing kinda implies it changes for each wielder; hence why all of their default modes in Hades 1 are 'Aspect of Zagreus'
