Not until I was an adult did I realize how badly the media distorted the way we see people of other cultures. It's insane to me, because I literally feared anything different. But that was then, and now my job is to guide my little one with a better mindset. 💛
One of my favorite quotes of all time was by Nelson Mandela and he said (roughly): "one is not born hating another because of his race or religion. he is taught to do that. and if he can be taught to hate, he can be taught to love." just thought i would share that along with this video :D
I've been watching for a few months now and your videos have become a lot better. Not that they weren't good to begin with, I just enjoy them even more now! Great job!
Humble The Poet Great subject....RACISM IS FEAR....whilst most racism is born of ignorance and group/social programming or dynamics its underlying foundation seems to be FEAR. Most racist people in any culture are scared of change, difference, loss of culture/status/identity and not being able to relate to new cultures in the ever changing world. I'd like to think progress works in both directions as it's up to as Indians to integrate our way of life in a balanced progressive way (win/win), celebrating and sharing our cultural identity whilst respecting the culture of the community or country we live in. As for any given country or people their attitude it is usually dependent on their cultural evolution and current political, economic and military bias or focus where media propaganda is instrumental in a positive or negative reaction. Yes I agree there is a grace period whilst one generation and cultural demographic renews its relationship to change therefore promoting tolerance for the now mutual common good. As adults it is up to us to maintain that momentum and retain a greater percentage of social/cultural inclusion and celebration whilst maintaining the strength as individuals to preserve our identity with EDUCATION and without FEAR....and with something like Disruptive Positive Celebration. Kanye west is speaking relative to his primary focus which is income/revenue and publicity and the fact that he is reached a solid milestone in his survival model.
Words can not describe how much you inspire me. I have recently decided to conduct a series of social experiments where I want to see how people treat others that don't fit their standards of "normal" I'm writing down what people say, how they look at me. Your experiences have further inspired me to dig deeper for my experiment. Thank you so much Humble!
I wish I could thumbs up this a thousand times. If even 5% more of the world had your beliefs and moral structure I can only imagine how much better life would be. Keep doing what you do and not give up. You are an inspiration to us all. Thank you!
Definitely a distraction and I agree things are getting better. If we live in fear, then we cannot achieve greater things in life. Love your videos HumbleThe Poet .
This video really touched me, I know what it feels like being a Singh. I have learned how to control myself and how to respond to comments like that. I'm proud of my faith, colour and especially being me. I have the best of both worlds, my dad is Sikh and my mum is Catholic. I'm born a Catholic but I attend the Temple every Sunday. I wish people could keep the comments to themselves,( if u have nothing nice to say say nothing ) Simone Singh
For me, UA-cam actually helps you to accept people even more. Before I obviously did not mind homosexuals and thought they can do whatever they want. Now, the fact that. I have watched so many UA-camrs who are gay makes me believe that homosexuals are no worse than us and I just feel good when I see two homosexuals together in the outside world bc they are doing what they want. I believe that the same probably happens when you watch other races. So many UA-camrs with different races makes you feel that the race does not matter at all. It is your character that matters. That is what I like about UA-cam!:)
Thank you Humble, you're videos are always amazing but this one hit close to home. Thank you for being you and sharing with us! I hope I get a chance to see you on AT2UI!!
Excelent video.... my country it's slowly becoming more tolerant.... I wish everybody could watch your videos ...... not just 100,000 people. Greatings from Guatemala. Excelente video..... mi país se esta convirtiendo lentamente en un lugar más tolerante. Yo desearía que todos pudiesen ver tus videos... no sólo 100,000 personas. Saludos desde Guatemala.
Absolutely amazing and so powerful. You always inspire me and make me look closely at my life to ensure that I am doing good things before I ask others to do good things. Very inspirational. Stay Gold and One Love
I've known about you for a while but havnt gotten around to seeing your videos. I'm going through a hard time and you have somehow manged to show me a little light ahead and given me some inspiration and for that I am thankful. You know what you want and that inspires me to do the same! Have a great day.
I hear ya. From hair, to skin color, wearing sindoor or a bindi. Even henna! It never ceases to amaze me what people will point out and be racist about. I personally don't care what race, skin color, spiritual path or religion a person believes in or belongs to. If you're cool with me then I'm 😎 with you. Otherwise ✌
YEEES, this is perfect! I had these same thoughts on my mind. It's great that you are sharing these positive messages on your channel! :) I knew about you through Superwoman, but I had no idea how insightful you were. I just subscribed. I hope that you'll be able to achieve 100K subscribers soon, maybe by your birthday like you mentioned in another video. Good luck! Love and light. ^^
You are getting closer to your goal!! Congratulation!! Also this video really inspired me because my best friend is black ( I'm white btw ) and she gets bullied at school for that and it really affected me. But now I know how to face this with my friend !
This video was, in my mind, one of the best you've made... Thank you for this. I really think I'll use one of your quotes in the essay or speech I have to give next...they're so realistic :) I love you.❤ And I love your verse in #IVIVI❤ It makes me feel so happy❤
Well said. We have the Dominicans of Haitian descent being denied citizenship in the DR bcuz they have Haitian ancestry but they swear it has nothing to do with racism, it's the law😕
i love this video :) everyone used to call me a terrorist and it really hurt. I just let it be because I know who I am and what I am . I just plowed right through it :) I just do me :)
Yess! Also, don't blame everything on racism. You didn't get elected class president? Someone doesn't agree with you? It's not just because of your race. Sure, that could be something affecting it, but it's not the soul reason. Don't blame everything on racism, there's almost always another reason. Look for it. And find a way to get past both that reason and racism.
Being a victim of racism, it isn't that easy to just walk along and smile. It ruins one's day and leads to psychological problems, which is my case. So when someone is racist towards me I don't shut up and smile, sorry humble but this doesn't apply to everyone.
Bethany Redd Racism is a distraction from the more important problems in the world. Racism is a tool used to divide the masses and pit them against each other. There is power in numbers and people in power are highly aware of this fact which is why racism exists in the first place. Racism distracts from environmental issues, issues of inequity, wealth distribution, the workings of multinational corporations, and so many more trying issues. Instead of looking for solutions to those problems racism causes us to fight each other to get ahead.
Racism comes from every race, not just white like some people think.... I have always been very open and have had friends and family of different races. I have had other races be very awful to me, bully me in school, on the streets, even in front of my own children....it is sad and makes the person being attacked feel awful. I pray more people become open and loving because our skin color is only pigments!!!!!! Ahh, it kills me.....we are all human beings!!

Denusha Sharma But if you start yelling at them or even worse, you will only feed their hate and prejudices. What will that accomplish?
Well, is it better that they keep opressing me? Or that I show that I will not accept the way they are treating me?
