  • Thanks for watching another video with my mom!
    This recipe definitely took some time to film. Feel free to drop a comment on what you want to see next !
    Stay tuned for Part 2 where we make the sauce / lolo for the ngou’a.
    Recipe:
    5 - 14oz packs for Tapioca flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg
    About 13 1/2 cups of Blended boiled spinach (you can also add more or less based on the color you want. But traditionally it is a dark green color.
    1 cup of water

    IFO! I remember having this back in Tonga when I was little. I haven't had any since and I am craving for some. I called my mama back in Tonga asking her how to make it. She told me to go on UA-cam. 😅 Is not that she doesn't know how to make it. Is too much to explain over the phone.

    Thank you! We used Lu leaves instead of spinach for ours. I know it's expensive if you live in a non-tropic area, but if you can fork out the extra dollars, it's definitely worth it! Plus it's the old way to make ngou'a

      @@meliamedaverman3558 if you live in an area full of Polys like California, Arizona, Utah or Texas, you can buy it from any Asian or islander market. Otherwise, we depend on family back home to send us some by mail or when they come to visit.

    Hi just wondering if I can substitute the Spinach for Pumpkin to make the Pumpkin version😊

    • @MamaVee17
      @MamaVee17  9 місяців тому

      Hello, Yes you can pretty much swap the spinach for anything. I would say the taste may not come out a strong pumpkin taste so you can add some additional pumpkin flavoring.
