I'm still obsessed. I recently finished watching it again and started seeing reactions and more video edits. And this is how my obsession with TVD and especially Damon feeds back.
Damon is the most beautiful and complex character ever written! He's not only sexy (and he is soooo sexy), he's the most vulnerable, broken character of the show. Damon and Elena are made to be together since they first encounter. Elena brings light to Damon and Damon challenges Elena. He love Elena with all his heart!! ❤ Even if he did horrible shit thing (kill Lexi…), he deserve to be love and to be in love! And for me, his relationship with Stefan, Ric, Caroline, Liz, Bonnie or Enzo is so beautiful because every people that I quoted, is a part of his family. And I forgot: the people who think Damon stole Elena to Stefan annoys me! I mean you don’t watch the same show?? 😮 And your edit is gorgeous!
Damon drinks to forget his past but he always cares when he doesn't want too because he doesn't think he deserves love in his life only goes looking to inflicted pain because he hurting inside 😢
This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Role for Ian Joseph Somerhalder and My All Time Favorite Character in (2009 - 2017) The Vampire Diaries Television Series. I’m hoping that the Malivore Tribute comes out really very soon.
Watching this made me realize several thing. One, damn Damon have a lot of killing scenes, like it never stopped, Ian most have been a profesional of ripping out heart by the times the show ended. Two, the short scenes with Bonnie made me realize how good Pair they are platonic or otherwise. Three, TvduEditor will not never make a masterpiece and im eternally grateful TvduEditor happened to like Tvdu or we would have lost out on a great editor for our fandom! Four, Damon really just is a poor love struck fool isn’t he. Imagine a little bit less manipulative and narcissistic vampire turned Damon and Stefan. Imagine the lives saved.
Yeah, my girlfriend at the time ( still wish her the best in life ) made me watch TVD.....she literally used all her might to get me to watch it ( and I would NEVER have, if not for her persuasion and persistence ).......and thankfully it turned out to be a GREAT investment of my time.... Most people unfortunately think.....TVD is about love or vampires ..... they're DEAD WRONG!! The Vampire Diaries is about one thing ONLY...... it's about the BOND BETWEEN TWO BROTHERS..... period!💯👌🏻

Damon character is so spontaneous and he lives freely but in the end he needed his brother more than anything else.People change and his character topped it.I love damon and i felt sorry for stephen.

Damon should of been on a better path in Season 2 and onwards then we were given starting with his apologizing and trying to make things up to Jeremy And Elena even if they do not forgive him at least he tried he should of had a better redemption arc like Tyler did before his Mother And Hybrid Friends were all murdered yeah
The problem is that people think Damon is incapable of being good because he doesn't believe it himself. Even when he was a human, everyone preferred Stefan to him (his parents, residents of the city of Katherine, etc.) and when they became vampires, even when he did good deeds from the bottom of his heart, they still did not believe in him and again preferred Stefan. But Damon is no worse than Stefan.

a lot of this show is basically a buffy copy. Damon is very much like spike. I think he's an excellent character but the writers drop the ball a few times on his character story lines. What made spikes redemption story so good is by the end he gives up his life for unselfish reasons. So by the end yes he's flawed and done many bad things but he made a great effort to be good both for himself and to worthy of buffys love. The writers make Damon only good for Elena when it should have been a combination of for her and seeing the value of his friends and especially Stefan.

I'm on season 5 and I still can't bring myself to like Damon. He redeemed himself but honestly speaking his impulsivity made him do a lot of unforgivable things. Remember how be intentionally killed Jeremy because a breakdown related to Katherine, also how he sexually assaulted and abused Caroline? Then there's Vicki... He didn't respect Stefan's request to leave Elena alone, he kept pushing but she fell in love with him so eh I guess. Not to mention how Bonnie's grandma passed because Damon literally forced them to open the tomb for a Katherine who 1 wasn't there and 2 didn't give a shit about him. And poor Lexi, listen I get the Stefan related situations because of their sibling rivalry. I just hate how so many people were affected even though there was no need, and when something "awful" happens to him he's the first to cry wolf...like Klaus💀
We like Damon because he has the best character development and well he is sarcastic and funny if only he had a little Stefan in him he would be what we call in the real world a perfect man but he is not because they wanted the brothers to be opposites and about him breaking Jeremy neck the creators did that because they didn't want us to route for Damon they needed him to still be a villain but it still didn't work so they got lucky with Katherine that's literally the only reason why Damon broke Jeremy neck is because the people who made TVD needed Damon to still be viewed as the bad guy who was irredeemable and well since you're on season 5 then you know by now that people still love Damon
