- Welcome to my 2nd review! This time showcasing the Apple MacBook Pro 14 inch with the M3 SOC. Join me as we dive into this machine that... well... has its' problems.
2 days before uploading I had to make the switch from Final Cut Pro to Davinci Resolve, so things are maybe a bit rougher than I would have liked. But, wanted to get this out for you guys in a timely manner. Hope you enjoy, and have a great day!
I think this is a nice upgrade to the base M2 Air line. Not for serious Pro users doing photo, video or audio work. 8 GB is not enough. I think people complaining about it is a bit non-sensical. Apple isn't forcing anyone to buy it. If you don't like it, spec it up. I landed on the second tier M3 Pro 14 and it rocks! Faster than the 10/24/32 16" M1 Max it replaced. Subscribed. Cheers and wishing you success with the channel!
You're absolutely right. Apple is wrong for including such a small amount of RAM on a baseline MacBook Pro. I have the M1 Mac Mini with 16 gigs in a 256 SSD and quite frankly other than casual video editing its unusable for anything serious. And I did not feel like paying at Apple tax for 512 ssd that's a 400 hundred dollar jump for that. That's why I chose to go back to an Intel machine a 9 gen i7 9700. I put a 2 TB SSD with a 512 SSD boot. It may not be as fast in single core or multicore performance but I can't really tell the difference in real world use for my audio production setup. However my Intel machine seems more snappier for audio production but the Mac Beats it hands down for video editing; so I'm keeping the Mac for video editing and my Intel rig for audio production. And did I mention that I only spent a maximum of $350 for that Intel rig with a 9700, 32 gigs of RAM, a 2 terabyte SSD and the 512 SSD.
For me Yes. I’m getting the M3 base model with 16gb ram. Due to the currency rate on my country. The base model M3 with 16Gb Ram I’m getting is roughly about $1650, and the M3 Pro is about $2000.
16GB of ram in my opinion is a great choice! Hope you enjoyed the machine.
Bro, fix your thumbnail. It will really help your video get more clicks.
Agreed
Hello! Thanks for your reply. I went ahead and re-uploaded the image. Hopefully its working. If its something else let me know - Absolutely looking for suggestions to improve.
@@Zer0ThoughtReviews your content is good, your title is good. But the thumbnail is not doing your video justice. The thumbnail won't attract viewers.
I was trying to tell you that the thumbnail is not going to help your video reach. Many will just see your video and not click, because of the thumbnail. It's not attractive.
Thank you very much for the feedback! Wickedmotive and I took your comment to heart and worked on a new one. Still learning to make thumbnails and content, and this callout really helps. TYVM again. @@tosinomoluwa
What about the M3 Pro for sale $1799 or the M2 Pro refurbished for $1599?
For $200 I'd probably get the M3 pro. I may get some hate for this because of the **apparently** minuscule performance uplift from the M2 Pro -> M3 Pro, but the dynamic caching engine + AV1 encoder thats on the M3 chips is i think going to be 2 pieces of the new kit that keep these machines relevant a little longer than the M2. But $200 can be / is a lot of money.
Got the M3 Pro. Thanks.@@Zer0ThoughtReviews
