I agree, the are just too wide, so I made my own with reflecting mirror tape, fixed on a this piece of wood at the right angles. It takes 10 minutes to DIY for 10€$ ua-cam.com/video/0hQuYzHc6fY/v-deo.html on the right side you can see it is thinner than the right side, as the 2 TV's have thinner borders.
Hi thanks for watching, Most LCD screens have a Fresnel layer in them but it can be a bit hit and miss as some TVs have a film layer to bounce the light forward. Best bet is to get a broken monitor. I used an old Dell LCD monitor in the video :)
@@pjretroredux only problem is I need to find a large monitor considering I have 50” screens for my sim lol. Tough to find an old monitor large enough.
@@pjretroredux yes i do but it doesn't reflex the image, i try with all angle, vertically, orizontally , turn it back and so on, maybe my old tv had a different tecnology?
@@pjretroredux i try to fid it tomorrow thank you! I simply opened the tv and use the layes that was behind screen, i try with all combination of the 3 layers that was there
It isn`t a perfect work around but when racing and any fast motion it is better to have a slight blur than a dark black vertical line. Cheers for watching
@danieljoyce4844 I have a triple set up bezel-free acer monitors with zero bezel and there is still back screen bezels lol these aren't the best but when sim racing there is no comparison.
Good, first of all thank you for your work and the mod for the community ^^, the question is what kind of panel tv is it? LCD TV or LED TV? In my case, I will have to look for a second-hand TV and I would like to be correct so as not to waste money, I would appreciate it ^^
Many thanks for watching, The monitor I used was an old Dell LCD monitor. Not sure if LED screens would have the layer but I would assume so as it is used to push light towards the viewer.
@9:10 you could have used a paper punch or a leather hole punch, makes nice clean hole. Interesting but, next time please use your voice instead of text. If I wanted captioning I would turn it on.
Hey - I see you are using CSL DD now. Just be careful - the big wheel you are using will decrease FFB strength of the wheelbase - so If you want stronger FFB - use smaller wheel 👍
I Rally and Drift in real life and the deep dish wheel suits me perfectly. Also the 7.5ah PSU ive fitted I have actually had to turn down the force feed back as it aches my arms
it has the correct quick release, why would it decrease FFB?, a bigger size wheel will have less force in comparison but CSL DD with the higher NM is enough.
Definitely cool DIY and just as good as the Asus kit, but I still find them more distracting than bezels.
Many thanks for watching :)

Great DIY stuff, keep it up!

I've done the same thing but the layer don't work, why?
is it the right way around? also did you cut the strips vertically?
cheers for watching

it was a sony bravia tv
@@DjCamme98 that is possible can you give me the make and model and ill check?

Do you know anyone who has done this for a 2x2 video wall?
No but I'm not sure if the Fresnel layer will work correctly at a horizontal. If you give it a go let me know the results :)
@@pjretroredux okay. Thanks for reply
so instead of a small bazel gap of half inch now you have like three inches of blurry screen? how is this better?

@@pjretroredux I'd just buy screens that have no bezel problem solved but is cool the diy route over buying the kit
@@danieljoyce4844 everyone would if there were any🤣

Nice one ! any chance to get the 3d print project ?
Sorry I deleted the .obj file. All I made was a 6 cm width plate and the depth was my monitor depth.
Then 4 legs down by 2cm.
Cheers for watching
@@pjretroredux wish you posted the file for printing. Thanks for the info
