Its crazy, I actually did the same exact thing you did with the bracket about 4 yrs ago when I installed new speakers on my L coupe. I didn't want to put holes in the door frame.
Yep, anti-seize transfers to every, usually right were you don’t want it. Never thought to use it for making marks. I’d probably use gun grease. It would be easier to clean up after.
Sweet video man I put in speakers in my L wagon not too long ago including rear ones (there was wiring but no vent in door panel) I wish I would’ve put the holes in the plastic instead of the door tho 😂
I have a 04 subaru impreza hatchback what size speakers do I need? I see some sites say 5 ¹/⁴ some say 6.5 for the front and then I see 5 or 4 for the back 🤦♂️
What makes an engine an STI engine? I know, most consider an engine from a STI chassis an STI engine. I say that’s BS, STI engine for me is based on internals (and a red intake manifold, lol), and this engine has been upgraded to STI. Really, it’s all just a name, RSTi is easier for people to read in 4 characters too, so there’s that...
Hi Ben. I had to pull them from a salvage yard. It’s a OEM Subaru part. You can find on eBay or if you email me, I can probably pick up a set and we can work out a sale. Cheers buddy!!!
I know you love to keep the OEM look, so have you considered a LL Bean wooden steering wheel from a forester? I run it in my GC and its probably my favorite part.
Nice work man im so glad i found this channel, your suby is looking sweeeeet!!!
Thanks man. It’s coming together, pretty stoked.

Small world, huh. Pretty cool! Cheers!

Lol, yes it’s kind of a last resort, cause you’re right, that stuff makes a HUGE mess every time you crack to lid!!! 😂
was just going to do Speakers in my GF8! Nice! hope i dont break any clips
The clips on the door panel are tough they don't break that easily..don't worry
They are a bit tricky for sure. Try to get right behind them!
Awesome vid! Makes me want to pull off the door panel and check for holes from the previous owners 😂.
Lol, yep, those audio shops are sometimes a bit sketchy. 🤔

Lol, love the wagons. Had two of them... miss them.
Nice videos bro, looks like if you'd spun the speaker 180 degrees the speaker holes would have lined up!
Where can we buy the mounting brackets from ? Mine are broken

Sorry, not familiar with those body styles.
Will you be doing a video on the factory radio dimmer? Mine recently stopped working
Will find a way to touch on it - cheers!!
Hey buddie where can I find the speaker brackets the ones on Amazon didn’t fit the 6.5
Do you happen to have another factory radio ? Looking for one for my all original 2.5rs coupe with only 39k miles!!
That’s amazing low mi. You happen to be in NorCal?
@@SubaruONLY I'm located in Quebec, Canada and would have to be shipped sadly. But i'm willing to pay... Love your videos
Awesome. Great channel.
Thanks!!! 👊
Great work. Thank you. Did u happen to cover the steering wheel upgrade in another vid?
Not in detail. It’ll try to discuss it in an upcoming one!
@@SubaruONLY thanks!
Anyone ever forget how to reinstall the motor on the door along with everything else that goes with the inside together I did need help installing
I have a question... Why does it have the wrx engine if it's RSTi?

@@SubaruONLY i know, very little changed between 205 and 207
Ok, true. 207 is a hell of a lot more engine. I concede, not a real RSTi. But the intake is red 😁
Where did you get the adapters? Did they come with the speakers?

Loving it!!??
Hope so! 👊
@@SubaruONLY planning to do this to my Forester SG xt 😅 some speaker upgrades 😅
Nice. Eventually gonna have to do it to any classic.

True, I do for sure. Haven’t seen those wheels, will have to look them up - thanks for the suggestion.
You need Heat shrink tubing. It`s permanent
True!!! I always forget... 😁
