Why would you make an absolute beginner tutorial and use so many of your own brushes? Now I started and either have to buy them or abandon my drawing, and it’s my first attempt, I just got Procreate. This just seems so scummy. Like put a disclaimer before the video that “hey you can’t do it unless you pay me”. Just really really scummy.

As a beginner I might find this tutorial helpful if she won’t upsell anything for a start. If I eventually gets better I would definitely buy those brushes. For now, I’ll pass, it would be a waste of money.

It's a success! I didn't have to buy any brushes, or pallets. Just took time to compare the brush she used to stock brushes to find a similar effect, which helped me learn the brushes I have. Colors were the same, just found similar. This was a bit more challenging than the few others I've done, and mine looked a bit different than hers, but still turned out beautifully. Thanks for the tutorial.
I think it goes way too fast for a beginner and I have to keep stopping it and going back to see the brushes and to understand changing the shape so it is not fun...yet I will watch it through and then try again...my color pallette doesn't look the same...
Thanks! I’ll keep in mind your feedback for some future videos! My audience have of course different experience. If you try to follow few of my tutorials without drawing you will see that I follow some patterns. Don’t stick to make it like mine 100%.
I love how you include the color code on the top left corner so the viewers can get the exact color as the one you used in your tutorials. Please do it to all your videos beacuse some of them they don't show the color code and it's very hard for me to find and use the exact color that was use in the videos.

guys you can sub brushes easy, this is my 1st ever use of procreate/ipad for art (1st drawing in like 15 years. i took 45 secs to pick a brush tht looked good, i.e carbon stick, gouache, flicks for the speckles ( edit the brush slightly, takes 20 secs, artist crayon. these prob aren't the best alternatives but i just quickly picked them. my piece looks actually amazing lol very cool tutorial. learning little bits here n t here i.e using clipping masks
So happy to read your comment! You can absolutelly use whatever brushes you like, you just have to follow the technique. And you can adapt that as well so the final drawing will be more unique. I would love to see yours!

To everyone bashing this creator who worked for a long time to develop her own brushes, don't! I am an absolute beginner and I was able to draw this. You can use the brushes that are already within procreate you will get a somewhat similar result. You can EASILY follow this step-by-step tutorial. Don't get fooled and discouraged by the negative comments here.
Honestly, as a REAL Procreate beginner this was hard to follow. Not enough verbal clarity on when to switch / make a clipping mask (or even what they are) and its way too fast

I didn’t enjoy this at all… so difficult when u were using materials unavailable to a beginner… I feel like u set me up to fail as I didn’t realise just how disadvantaged I was until over half way through the tutorial… I agree with the suggestion about having a disclaimer at the BEGINNING OF THE TUTORIAL….

I agree with many of these comments - this speaks very fast for a beginner tutorial and it's pretty clear about a quarter of the way through that it's a promotion for the artist's brushes. A shame - I quit halfway through to go to one that I could actually do.
Please check my most recent videos and you might find those easier to follow. And please always keep in mind that this filming and editing the video was also a learning process for me too so it obviously took a while to learn how to do it best. Also, I am teaching you guys how to recreate the brushes for free in a video tutorial, just saying 🙃
Nice artwork but not really beginner friendly since you’re just using your own brushes which most of the beginners probably don’t have. We‘re here to learn the basic stuff, using and trying to sell your own brushes is just confusing. At least give us some alternative brush options from the procreate palette. And you’re too fast too. Thought on quitting bc of it but still finished my artwork with suitable brushes I figured out myself.
You can always try with Procreate default brushes or you can try my free ones! It does a difference to have the right brush but is not smth you can’t live without! Most important is to learn the technique. You can later on decide if you need my paid brushes or not. Happy you tried the drawing!

Also Procreate waste your time because that's not free also :). Try with default brushes no need to get the custom ones even if they are probably the best around. ;)

There is an error in 1:57 you simply creste new layer under the first one. If you start drawing it wil not be visible.

This should not be titled Beginner Tutorial. It does to use Procreate brushes and requires purchase of your proprietary brushes to follow.
You can give it a try with default brushes!
