I saw this and said "aw, how cute" thinking it was a video about someone enjoying their first time with strand in a genuine and wholesome way, only to choke on my drink as you fell.
@firestrike5478 even Th3Jez pointed out that he thought the Cabal were using Strand shields in his video on the Lightfall campaign. Now, thinking back, all I can say is "OOOOOOOOOH" and that I've been looking at the way shields work all wrong throughout my entire time playing Destiny. Not D2 mind you. Destiny. All of it. I thought each shield was made of the element and never really questioned why that element would then cause the shield to be weak to itself. Wow. I am quite dumb. Thank you for pointing that out, it was a point of contention for me while playing the campaign but now I get it.
shields aren't canon. If they were then every race could weird arc, solar, and void light. maybe they could fudge the logic by saying it's "energy" and not light but that's a stretch
@@shreygarg1224 Shields arent canon? Lmao, my guy, the ones who wield the light are the outliers who can harness the elemental energies themselves. The elemental energies are still present in the world naturally and from Science made before/outside of Guardians. Shields are just technology, the Vex literally use shields with no weakness. Just because someone can make a shield doesnt make them a paracausal space magician, unless you're a caveman.
But it was meaningless because the Witness needed our Ghost to secure the link anyway, further delaying its plans until they could manage to kidnap someone else's ghost.
If it makes you feel any better, during my first and only playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 1, the transition between Act 1 and 2 consists of a horseback ride through a winding canyon while a classic guitar song with excellent vocals plays in the background. So enthralled I was with the atmosphere that I accidentally imputed my controller to lead my horse right off the cliff, cutting the journey short with the destination being the place I resumed; not being able to go back in the story to finish that sequence properly.
yeah i suffered this yesterday many times in a strike. i was like I bet the people playing with me think I'm new!!! what even funnier is there was a bridge leading around a building, I finally said suck-it and took it because I was horrible at slinging strand. during my first calus fight I fought with arc until I realized I had to strand sucker punch him into submission. guess that is what I get for being a few expansions behind!
Never understood why this was a darkness zone. They make you use a brand new subclass you don't understand and then give you a test by combat on how to use it without even the option to open the subclass menu and read about it. This is the one spot where using Strand is not optional if I remember right
"What does this do?"
Famous last words of someone about to do something stupid
What incredible energy. 😂
As we learned in The Matrix nobody makes the first jump

You know they made it seem like we’re the only ones to use strand but that entire campaign had plenty of strand shields
Strand shields aren't made of strand, they're weak to strand.
@@firestrike5478 Bruh you just explained more than the entirety of Lightfall's story did.

thus callus secured the veil with ease
But it was meaningless because the Witness needed our Ghost to secure the link anyway, further delaying its plans until they could manage to kidnap someone else's ghost.
Yet another Guardian felled by the power of the Darkness
"ah." And then the witness won
Lmao I know the feeling I still do that 😂
“He’s beginning to believe..”
I did the exact same thing falling through that immediately. The laugh that followed was the heartiest in my life tbh
My reaction was slightly different, and by that I mean I took my 200+ hours of Titanfall 2 experience and ran it through a translator.
Same, except I had moments where I tried wall running out of pure instinct and died when I realized I couldn't
Bruh I did the exact same thing.
Feel like it was shitty of em to design that area that like
skill issue
Not enough enemies either. Wanted to slaughter an army with strand there
They design practically all their areas like that
Titan Moment

This makes me feel so validated for having done the exact same thing 😂
Yup 😂
Can’t say I haven’t done the same, mate!
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who fell into that hole.
I had the same except I was on Warlock so the melee was different. It was quite annoying at the time and much funnier now that I'm looking back on it.
Quite literally a swing and a miss

Don't worry, I did that exact same thing
Clear skill issue
